THE BEST HOTEL IN RETHIMNO!!! If i could give this hotel 20 more stars, it still would not do it the justice it deserves. When we arrived on the Wednesday it was still pretty early, but we were welcomed with such a warm friendly smile and a nice shot of Raki. Even though we weren't scheduled to check in until 3pm, we were immediately given our key and told the room was ready. And what a room we had (we booked a junior suit), spacious, super clean, huge balcony, mini fridge, comfortable bed, you name it we had it. The staff here are what makes this hotel the crown jewel of RETHIMNO, the service makes you feel like one of the family, whatever you need, they are there to help you. Need help renting a car, its taken care of. Need help with local restaurants, they have a list. Want to visit some beautiful less touristy places, they have a list for that too. Want a massge in your room, they will make it happen. Nothing is too big an ask. The pool is the perfect size with enough beds around it, they have pool towels waiting for you when you come down stairs, the cocktails are to die for and with a 24hour serviced bar and reception even those midnight munchies aren't a problem. Then we have the fantastic breakfast, chef Jana and her team make sure that there is a variation everyday so that you have a variety of tasty delights to try. They welcome you with a warm smile and a very goodmorning. Then there is the view, holy moly... its spectacular. You eat breakfast on the 5th floor rooftop with a full view of rethimno and all its glory. From the venetian harbour to fortezza castle, the rooftop offers a magical view to accompany your morning coffee. This hotel is a budget friendly, yet screams quiet luxury and that's mostly thanks to the amazing staff. I cannot express my thanks enough to George, Jana and the whole team at Menta, they made our 10 day stay in Rethimno absolutely magical and we will certainly be back as soon as possible.

The staff were incredible, so welcoming and friendly and gave great advice on restaurants and places to go. The hotel itself was beautiful, great facilities and the breakfast each morning was great. The hotel was very clean and our room was cleaned daily. The pool area was very nice and the sunlloungers were very comfortable.The woman cooking breakfast would explain each of the dishes she had cooked that morning and every morning she made different options so it was varied and of great quality. Thanks George and Michaelis for making our stay so memorable.

Amazing hotel, very clean and modern. Big rooms and terrace. The pool is very nice, you are able to swim and is never crowded. The atmosphere around the pool is also nice, chill music and chairs to relax. The breakfast was amazing, the chef welcomed us and explained the whole menu, it's a mix of classic breakfast with greek food. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Gym is also nice and well equipped. We always had a parking spot right outside the hotel on the street, it's not very crowded. It pretty much exceeded our expectations from a 3 star hotel, they should definitely get 4 stars.

The location is a little far from the beach and you have to walk uphill, but if you don't mind walking it's not a problem.

Very cozy hotel close to the old town of Rethymno. The rooms are very spacious and well-appointed. The beds are super comfortable. The reception staff are very hospitable, friendly and fun. They are genuinely interested in the guests and cater to their needs. Our daughter loved chatting with them:) The breakfast was good. We are not fond of pies but it seemed like many people loved them. Our daughter loved the pool.

If you stay more than a couple of days the breakfast gets a bit boring. The pies change but the rest is the same and if you don’t like the pies…. But for a city hotel I think it’s normal. Also we missed proper butter. There was mostly margarine. A lot of walking up and down the hill. Was totally fine for us though. Extra workout after a nice dinner in the old town 😄.

A beautiful, modern and quite hotel with a super friendly, helpful staff that make you smile every day with their sense of humour. 100% good vibes. They also helped me to find a mechanic for our rented car and phoned there in advance to make sure they would do the job the same day. Wow! The breakfast on the rooftop was delightful and the staff there is also very helpful and happy to explain you about the homemade cakes of the day (try the bougatsa or the vegan chocolate cake!) or serve you a great greek coffee in a minute. Thank you all for making our stay such a pleasure! You can walk to the Old Town of Rethymno in a few minutes but if you feel lazy, at the hotel they can heat you up some focaccias or pizzas to eat by the pool in the evening. Totally recommended. You have to walk 12-15 minutes from here to the Center and the streets are a bit dark and steepy to walk up and down at night. It can also take some time to find a place to park your rented car in the neighbourhood in the peak season, but anyway it's better here than staying in the Old Town, obviously, where you will need to park a few hundred meters away. Said that, we still think it was a great choice. And you can't have a swimingpool in other smaller hotels!

Very comfortable room. Shower was one of the best Ive used. Bed was clean and soft. Modern amenities, air conditioning system, lighting, outlets, etc. The breakfast was top notch, with both normal breakfast foods (i.e. eggs and bacon) and also some homemade breads, and baked casseroles. Breakfast is also on the roof with great view of the city. Hotel also has 24 hour lobby bar, 24 hour reception, swimming pool with lounge chairs and gym. The property host was very friendly, greeting me whenever I left/entered.

While the location is walkable to the old town, it is about 20 minutes walk on a hill

One of the best places I've been! It was our first time in Crete and I chose this hotel because of a review. When we entered, we were greeted by a friendly atmosphere, and of course Michael is the receptionist. He was very friendly. We were in a superior room on the second floor. We like slightly harder bed mattresses, this was perfect for 7 nights! Air-conditioned, absolutely quiet, automatic, efficient. Perfect noise-insulating windows, we really pulled it off and it's completely quiet! For whom it is important. Breakfast: every day Giulia made some local delicacy, all the while there was melon juice coffee. We weren't hungry. There was a fantastic pool, comfortable sunbeds. The location is good, the city center is a 6-minute walk away. We always found free parking at night. I can only recommend it!

The room was great, nicely decorated and spacious with comfy furniture and a large balcony. We were offered an upgrade, free of charge upon our arrival. The breakfast was good without being spectacular, but the view from the rooftop cafe-bar was spectacular. The gym was quite well equipped and the pool was fine and clean.

We ordered a snack upon arrival and asked it to be delivered to our room, but it took 40 minutes to be brought when it didn't seem too busy at the bar. Another time, I was forgotten about while waiting to use the hammam. I didn't like not seeing prices for extra costs of facilities or food and drink available from the bar. I would suggest displaying these things clearly so the guests know and can budget accordingly.

The breakfast offering was excellent with choices of continental and cooked items. The cook proudly explained the selection each morning. The view of the old town and harbor from the breakfast room was panoramic. Great gyro restaurant within walking distance. Helpful reception staff. They will organize a laundry service if needed.

If you have a car then parking in the vicinity can be challenging. Narrow and often packed streets. There is not a hotel car park. Be prepared for about a 15-minute walk to the old town with a quite steep incline on the way back. There are only limited parking facilities near the old town.

This Hotel made our holiday. The staff were friendly and efficient and extremely accommodating. A shout out to George on the front desk who always greeted us so warmly. Other front desk members were also very good, unfortunately I didn't get their names. The breakfast was really good with the lovely lady in charge describing the food that was handmade every morning with a good morning and a smile. Other staff in the restaurant were also so friendly and warm. Very good choice for breakfast with fabulous views over the town of Rethymno as it was situated on the 5th floor. Our room was very spacious & air conditioned with a comfortable kingsize bed. The decor was very attractive and we had a huge balcony with a view of the sea. It was a nice quiet area even though not far from the old town. There was a walk up hill to the hotel which didn't trouble us but if you had health difficulties it may be a problem. The room is not serviced unless you request it but when we needed anything like extra towels or soap it was provided. The shower was really good, the best I have experienced. The spa area was closed on this occasion due to difficulty, however when I requested a massage, it was arranged that I could have one in my room. The lady came supplied with her own equipment and the massage was very good. Parking near the hotel was never an issue for us even though there wasn't much space directly outside the hotel. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and if we return to Rethymno we would not hesitate to return here.
