Nice hotel, comfortable, in a good location in the very center of the city. Most rooms have a view of the main city square. The hotel is probably from sixties, but mostly well maintained. Good breakfast.

Parking is problematic, because compared to the size of the hotel, the parking lot is rather small. One day I returned at 3:30 pm and there were the last two parking spots available, the last one filling up just after my return. Area around the hotel is partially pedestrian only and partially resident only parking and unlike in other Greece smaller cities the parking rules are strictly enforced (I actually saw cops writing tickets). So be prepared you might have to leave your car 500 or more meters away from the hotel on the street if you arrive just a little bit later.

The room with a park view and balcony was very good, as was the breakfast. Room size was good. The staff were very nice and accommodating, and rang the national bus company to check timetables for us 👍

The air-conditioning was noisy and struggled to cool the room even on full (hence the noise). The attachment for the shower rose was broken, so you had to hold it with one hand to have a shower, water went onto the floor (we told the reception on checking out so hopefully room 306's shower will be repaired for the next guest!). Room colours were bold and dated with a very special 'traditional' decor, but in okay condition for its age. The whole hotel needs a freshen up (inside and out), but for a night or two NOT at the height of summer, it was fine.

2 room suite was large and very comfortable. Location was close to everything and having a parking spot was an added perk! The on site restaurant was super! Menu was well thought out with lots of options and food was delicious. The fruit and wine on arrival was a very nice surprise. We enjoyed it very much at the end of a hectic day. Thanks Mainalon !

The staff was great and friendly. We upgraded to a room with a balcony facing the main square. The room was spacious and refreshing. Breakfast was great and they had a varied selection of food to select from.

The bathtub was narrow and a bit tight so taking a shower was awkward.

Unique location, excellent breakfast. Both bedroom and bathroom were most comfortable, same for balcony. Front-view room at high floor offers great view and overall feel. Parking is a great plus. Professional and friendly / pleasant staff

The very best hotel at Tripoli – sure, I haven't tried the other hotels but it would be hard to surpass "The Mainalon", consistently listed as top hotel at Tripoli since the 1950's ! Very cosy rooms. Quiet at night. Once located, very easy to drive or walk back to the hotel. Private car park at the back. Just round the corner, a long shopping street, and its adjacent streets, with plenty of bars and restaurants. Being in the middle of Peloponnese, Tripoli is an excellent "base camp" for exploring the region, and I have earmarked "The Mainalon" for that purpose.

Car park (only 13 places in high demand) seems to be quite often very full.

It smelled like smoke - likely whoever was there before me was a smoker and the carpet absorbed the smell or something

I booked this hotel for my mum who was traveling there for holidays with her partner and she told me everything was great, really clean, had all amenities-even had a thing to polish shoes(!). She was very satisfied

Beautiful location in the center of the town, comfortable clean rooms with outstanding balconies , superb breakfast buffet with local products, private garage and super friendly personnel ready to assist and give great recommendations for the city best places to visit.

Everything was excellent except parking. Another guest swiped my front bumper on my rental. Not the hotels fault but I would have valet park the cars, get the key for the guests when they need them and have staff move the vehicles.
