Location, impressive building

There is a drain smell both on third floor general lift area and downstairs female toilet area, the heating in communal areas is not at a homely level coming in from a November’s day, the pull doors at entrance are often left open by patrons rather than the rotating door set up in most hotels of this calibre, the bar area should be a cozy retreat for a drink and reflection of the day, there is need to keep on your coat , and this was reflected by several around us. Pity because that bar could be buzzing.

We visited the hotel for our honeymoon. Amazing luxurious hotel, the room was very clean and tidy, the staff very kind and willing to help and very convenient location regarding public transportation. I totally recommend it.

- delight for your eyes : the hotel is exceptional, it's a master piece of architecture - delight for your taste : amazing breakfast and amazing food in the bar, it tastes like Michelin- starred restaurant. And they take care of food allergies - spa facilities - friendly and professional staff

- temperature a bit too hot in the hotel (however typical in Hungary) - spa can be crowded as they also welcome customers from outside of the hotel

Hotel is very centrally located with the tram stop across the street. Very close to nightlife without it being a burden to your stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was first class… I am not a drinker myself but it’s nice to see others enjoying a 9am glass of bubbles! You must visit the spa, the pool and relaxing area was exactly the vibe I was after for my trip. Highlight recommend booking a treatment when you visit, worth every penny and with a 90 minute treatment you have full day access to spa facilities.

I much prefer at least one firm pillow and there weren’t any available in my room.

We booked through booking.com & the friends we went with got a cheaper rate as they booked direct with hotel but what i wasnt happy with is that we were going to be charged for spa & our friends it was included. Also we had been out all day then came back at 5pm snd the room had not been made up. The staff wanted to do st 5pm but we said no as we wanted to rest in room before going out. For the price we paid this should definitely have been done earlier in the day. We had left sign to say make room up when we went out at 10.30am

We loved the Corinthia Budapest which was the perfect hotel for our recent 4 day family stay. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. staff and the level of service remained consistently high. The hotel interior is large, impressive and yet inviting. The apartment we booked offered maximum space and privacy and was located off a courtyard to the back of the hotel which was very quiet. The beds and bedding were very comfortable (I’ve not slept as well in years) and the bath towels were super soft and fluffy. Breakfast was included in our booking and was served in the atrium which is very bright and airy. The breakfast options are plentiful and we found ourselves looking forward to learning the mini pastry selection each morning (the cherry and semolina pie was our favourite).

There was nothing about this hotel that we disliked. Any minor issue was attended to very promptly. We would have liked a longer stay to have a chance to use the spa facilities and dine in Caviar & Bull but we need a reason to return.

-the location is very good. -the hotel looks like a palace, very fancy. -the Christmas tree they put at the lobby is gorgeous. -the bed was very comfortable -we really liked the pool.

-the staff is mostly friendly but on our last night we came to pay because we were supposed to leave early the next day and the receptionist was extremely rude and hostile, rolled his eyes at us and seemed generally angry that we required his assistance. his behavior tarnished our good experience from the staff to that point. -I felt the breakfast was a little blend, given a second chance I would not have taken it -the maid resupplied the water bottles in the rooms on a whim. some days she did and on others she didn't. -the air conditioner was suffocating and the room was really warm, and opening the window didn't do much since it faces inwards.

From start to finish absolutely perfect, warm welcome on arrival even though it was past midnight. Room was spacious well furbished and immaculately clean. Hotel Facilities were second to none. Service staff were all friendly and even squeezed us in the restaurant on a busy night due to a change in our plans. Food was stunning for evening meal along with entertainment in the restaurant. Spa facilities were clean and well equipped - Cant fault a single thing

If were to try and be ultra critical the Spa was very busy on one particular day meaning there were no relaxation beds available but that is being ultra critical.

Very welcoming on arrival and a wonderful hotel to stay and relax.

No hair dryer in room for my wife which was an oversight by the staff Breakfast was a shambles, had to keep asking for coffee as no coffee pot on breakfast table, staff had to queue and wait for the lady to make coffees from a machine which took forever - When questioning management they said, we don't have any coffee pots, for a 5* hotel not acceptable! Tables were left dirty because staff did not have time to clear them, so you were always looking for a clean table on arrival.

We had a lovely New Year break staying at Corinthia which is a quality hotel in a lively area of the city, but within walking distance of many attractions. Also close to public transport. Hotel is comfortable and has a lovely relaxing ambiance. The New Year Dinner and celebrations were very good with high quality food, drinks and entertainment. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Over the New Year, breakfast organisation could have been better. On /Off control for Air Conditioning in room did not work, but was fixed. We were also told that temperature could not be regulated in each room so a standard temp was applied throughout all the rooms. Strange then that each room has an individual temperature control??
