The rooms were very well decorated. Very clean. Excellent housekeeping. Very polite staff.

It was a little bit cold. And it's too dark in the inner yard when I go out in the evening.

What a wonderful find (when I did find it!) - set on a private courtyard with nothing but a little notice on the Main Street. But inside - wow . It looks recently refurbed, and after the initial panic to find it, it was lovely to slip in off the street and into the courtyard and my room. The room I was in was the Rubic room - several fittings based on the cube, and had been well thought out. Impressive - probably the best on my tour of Europe.

One - tiny - thing. The bedside shelf had ridges rather that being flat. Almost impossible to put a drink down without spilling. But the rest, ned perfect

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The courtyard is set up as an improvised garden with flower pots, creating a charming entryway. It was pleasant to walk from the street through this lovely space and arrive at a vintage-style, cozy reception area. Anasztazia welcomed me warmly and was incredibly helpful. She gave me great recommendations for things to do around the city, which I really appreciated. Each room in the hotel has its own theme, which is a unique and fun concept. My bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The blanket was a bit thinner than I prefer, so the room felt slightly chilly at times. Although an air conditioner was available, I opted to use only the regular heating, which didn’t completely warm up the space.

The bathroom could use a little extra attention, as I noticed some spider webs. It wasn’t a big issue, but a quick touch-up would make the experience even better.

The room was very clean and perfect. The receptionist Theo was very helpful and informative with regard to our first trip to Budapest. The room was cleaned every day and was spotless. There was a list of items that could be used if needed, i.e., umbrella, chargers, and other items one might forget to pack. The hotel was situated in the old Jewish quarter, which is in walking distance of the river, town centre, and parks. We had breakfast there, which was huge and very tasty. It was nice to have a kettle in the room as we English do like our cups of tea. We would return here again.Lovely.

We can't think of any way that they could improve.

Wonderful little hotel that has designed their rooms with a good eye for atmosphere and for the balance between old rundown and new charm. The hotel is in the middle of the citycentre, the famous café New York is nearby, as are all kinds of bars and little restaurants all the way from sleezy to chique (yes, that famous 'ruin bar' is also nearby) Bus station just out of this street on the big one, the subway line 1 (red line)m a little further. The hotel is part of a bigger building and is reached through a courtyard -the ringer is a bit above the rows of ringers for the Budapest citizens that also live in the (huge) building. The rooms face out to the street but it was not as noisy as I had feared. traffic basically dies down after 23:00.

Breakfast is limited; two choices basically. You tell the hotel staff beforehand which one you'd like. I did not dislike that at all, it was a good, tasty breakfast, but if you are looking for something with more choice, a café in the neighbourhood is a better option.

A boutique hotel with extremely "hipsta" vibe. Already when you enter the building you have the feeling of being in a regular apartment of Hungarian veterans, with a small flower park / terrace square in the middle. Boys at the reception will show you the room which, albeit small, offers super clean bathroom, shick decoration, and oversized extra warm and comfortable bed. I had also historical posters from Hungarian football (soccer) history which made the vibe even more special. Plus, not so far from the Nyugati main train station, even by foot

The only problem was with the breakfast, however, guys at the reception managed to solve it by preparing me a good sandwich the night before so that I have something to eat even when having to leave for busines earlier in the day :)

The rooms were very spacious, bathroom a bit on the small side but certainly ok. Very clean and fairly quiet at night. Staff very attentive, proactive and helpful with any information required. Kettle in the room and perc coffee available whenever reception attended. 8 to 8 I think. Also a cafe with pastries just across the road and many more nearby if required. Felt like I was walking into a local apartment l, unique for me anyway.

Maybe a comfortable lounge chair in the room would be nice.

Beautiful room and fabulous location. Staff were friendly, extremely kind, and accommodating. We had trouble finding the hotel, completely our fault and so we had to stay somewhere else the first night of our trip, but the staff at Metropolis were totally lovely about it, especially after having stayed late to meet us after our flight got in. We made our way over the next morning and again greeted with a lovely chap by the name of Theo, who was so kind to us. We even got the price of the first night deducted from our total cost, which was not what we expected as it was our mistake, but the Metropolis were so accommodating and generous to do that for us. Budapest is a beautiful, vibrant, and interesting place to visit. We would definitely come again and pick Metropolis as our digs. Now we know how to find it, haha 😂 thank you for having us.

Everything was wonderful, no complaints.

A very comfortable guesthouse in an excellent location ideal for the opera house and music academy. very warm and inviting reception area. Our room was not quite ready but the man on reception gave us a cup of coffee while checking in and a box of chocolates as a way of apology. Much appreciated. There were some really nice touches like a bathrobe and slippers usually only given in larger hotels. On returning quite late there were glasses and a bottle opener left in reception for your use. The rooms are small but very comfortable and the bathroom was large and modern. Very centrally located in a nice part of Budapest

We were sent online registration a couple of days prior to our stay. It was frustrating trying to send the link to my partner for completion as he didnt recieve it. Ive never used this system before and it did seem over complicated. However, I got a response immediatly from the property when I asked if I could just register on arrival. Much prefer talking to people and seemed to waste a good two hours of my time.

My wife snd I really like the staff, location, value for money, amenities, ambiance and decoration. But the main thing was the kind treatment of the staff. Upon arrival, we were given all the directions leading to our room and very good tips for tourist sites and nightlife and our special thanks to Pauline who called a taxi for us and went to the street to wait with us for the arrival of the car and making a recommendation to the driver about our destination. Perfect!! This girl is absolutely kind, friendly and enjoy her job. I would like her to be my daughter-in-law...😅

everything was excellent
