Location was excellent, walking distance to main attractions, very good for public transport and many cafes and restaurants. 10 minute walk to airport bus. The double room was very spacious, with several chairs and table, felt better than a standard hotel room. Bed was very comfortable.

Nothing I didn’t like. I will definitely stay here if I visit Budapest again. But a few cautions: street noise may annoy some people, even though it fades at night. And the bathroom is a little bit small (shower was perfect) if you need to close the door.

Clean and comfy with nice staff, the building is really beautiful and very old. The room was just the right size with a coffee maker water jug and fridge. Plenty of storage for clothes and a safe too. We got a balcony and the view was really lovely. The hotel is on the Pest side of the country and close to lots and lots of bars and Restaurants as well as shops and supermarkets. Lidl next door to the hotel is extremely cheap for bits and bobs. And you are only 20 mins walk from most attractions. And the buda side is a five minute walk across the white bridge which is a few mins walk via the underpass and the street...the thermal baths are amazing to and 10/10

The location was PERFECT! It can get pitch black with the blinds/metal shutter and curtains! It can be pretty quiet, but bring along a pair of earplugs and it'll be even better! The cleaning staff were so cute and friendly and helpful for the most part! The champagne bottle was so cute and lovely! Thank you! What a nice welcome. The manager was protective and for our safety staying there and how to use the hotel well - I really appreciated that. All the staff at the reception were really really really superb individuals and offered superb service and help with anything and everything. I didn't feel like I was bothering them to get some help. They seemed very genuine. On another note, Hungarian people are some of the nicest kind calm helpful genuinely sweet open people I've ever met around this world. Bravo... <3

The bed was a great size (King US = doubles in Europe = nice and big), but it was very not flat. It was like the rolling waves of the ocean. Up on the sides, then way down, then way high in the middle, then down again, then up again on the other side. I slept right in the middle because I was by myself on the high area, so that was doable, but just fyi, hotels are in the business of sleeping, so the bed - where we do the sleeping - should be the #1 priority. :) Room 407, the shower water drain wasn't draining quickly. I dunno if there is something stuck in there, but... the water would only slowly go down the drain, so you're standing in a bit of water while showering which is not that comfortable because you don't know what you're standing in kind of. Hard to explain.

Excellent location. Room very nice within a historic building. The rooms are nice, clean and new/updated. The rest of the building (entrance, elevator etc) are a bit outdated and lack maintenance, but it is understandable considering the very big and old building. Room has AC, boiler, fridge. They left us a champagne as courtesy. They clean the rooms everyday. The hotel has a reception with a convenient kitchen, luggage store, friendly staff. I highly recommend it!

I loved everything. The central location in district V, right in the heart of the city centre. The building is grand and is sourranded by other beautiful buildings. It is close to all public transport and M3 stop Ferenciek tere is just downstairs. Giselle hotel is very near to Vaci street with its beautiful shops and restaurants and within walking distance to historical sights, the Elizabeth bridge, just across the bridge is the Rudas spa, and more. Tibor and the other members of staff at reception are just amazing, very friendly, very helpful, and with excellent English. I was sad to leave. The best I could have chosen.

The hotel is excellently located. The main shopping street, Váci Utca, can be reached in 2-3 minutes. There are also a range of cafes and bars on the same street the hotel. The Elizabeth Bridge is also nearby to visit the attractions on the Buda side of the city. My room was spacious and very tastefully decorated. The bed was very large with a comfortable mattress and good quality sheets. There was lots of nice touches in the room on arrival including towels made into the shape of a swan, free chocolates and a small bottle of sparkling wine. The highlight of my room was the balcony. The view in the evening was lovely and while close to many bars and restaurants, it was not noisy. My room was also spotlessly clean. The cleaning staff came every day and did a very thorough job. All in all, I found the hotel to be excellent value for money. The quality of the facilities and touches in the room are reminiscent of a far more expensive hotel.

Although I know there’s not much the hotel can do about this, the bathroom in my room was very small. It was big enough to be functional, but it was tight with the door closed.

This hotel is right in the center of everything. We loved the location and it was very quiet at night. The window has soundproof that you can rest easily. Bus station in front of it. It’s next to a supermarket too if you want to get grocery. Transportation was easily accessed from the airport just take 100E and be dropped off at the ASTORIA and then just walk 5 min to the hotel. Loved it.

The room has no luggage rack but it wasn’t a big deal, we used the table and chairs to put our luggage and also it has cabinets to put the clothes folded and hangers and hooks which we like.

The rooms are exactly like a the photos, very clean and warm with hot water all day long. Location is perfect and at the same building, on the ground floor you can find all types of food from breakfast till dinner.

It is actually a hostel called Maverick with hostel reception controlling giselle rooms as well.

The deluxe room with balcony was excellent. Great location - nice area and walkable almost everywhere, with a bus stop right outside. Friendly staff who helped us store passports in their safe before the room was ready and provided a small heater when the room was too cold for us. Thanks!

On our last night we switched to the budget room which was ok but much smaller and less comfortable. Would advise to pay a little extra for the deluxe if available as the difference is significant.

Atmospheric, traditional building, you enter the building and you feel like in a palace. I had a room with balcony, it really was as beautiful as in the advertised photos. Everything was reliable, functional, clean, great location. Polite reception staff. It was one of the highlights of my Budapest trip. I will certainly stay there again on my next trip.

On one occasion, the AC broke, but they repaired it promptly, no real reason to complain.
