I really loved that the hotel room was very clean, spacious, and the bed mattress was so comfortable and robust, that I slept like a baby after a really long day. Their hotel receptionist were very kind and helped me to keep my luggage in a safe area until I departed to the airport. For those who want to take the bus to the airport (bus 100E), Pilvax is within a 10-minute walking distance from bus station Deák Ferenc tér M. Extra points: the hotel is located near many restaurants and pubs so you can enjoy a good meal (highly recommended Bistro Gerloczy).

Unfortunately, when I stayed at City Hotel Pilvax (end of June 2022), their air conditioning system did not work. I really appreciated that they informed me in due time about this issue, in case I wanted to cancel the reservation. Hopefully, they have repaired it. The bathrooms are clean, but they could be improved.

Nice staff who very helpful and spoke English, also 24 hour check in which was good as we arrived in the night. Helped up with any questions and bookings. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The room was big and had storage for all our things if we had wanted to unpack. They have recycling and are trying to be green which is a plus for us, they offer room cleaning after 3 days of staying to help the planet! Location was amazing, quiet street for most of the day with easy walking access to shops, restaurants, public transport and the sights of Budapest.

The shower door was broken which was a little annoying and the air conditioning made a squeaking noise sometimes which could be a bit annoying in the night, but this wasn't constant. There are a lot of stairs which is fine for us but there are no ground floor rooms so probably not suitable if you have accessibility needs. Breakfast was included in our room so we ate it each day but I probably wouldn't have paid for it separately if it hadn't been included. It was nice for one day but was the exact same thing each day (scrambled eggs, bread, yoghurt, toast and spreads, cereal) and the cereals weren't to our taste. Just something to consider if it's not included in your room.

It was a good place, we did not stay much at the hotel, but the staff are pleasant and especially the one that stays at night. The place is clean and the beds are comfy. The location is great, it's very close to the center but not very busy.

You can hear the people either next door or in the hallway, it would not have been a problem for people that do not want to stay in bed late, but since we did decide to sleep in, it was a bit disturbing, but not a big deal.

Veri good position in the centre of Budapest. Near the Christmas Market. The room is big enough and bright. The TV has foreign programs also. The reception was stuff is friendly and the breakfast is quite divers and tasty. The coffee very good.

The furniture is quite old but he bead are comfortable. The bathroom accessories are old very small cabin and the bathroom si not so clean.

Loved the location and good value for money

The climb to second floor. But cannot complain too much as we were asked if we minded being on the second floor with no lift. We just have not realised that it was quite a large number of stairs

I was informed a day before my stay that the hotel had issues with air conditioning (temporary situation) and offered a transfer to its sister hotel nearby (City Hotel Matyas). We got a room with a view with well working air con (important in 38 degress). The staff was really friendly and helpful. On the last day we could leave our backpacks in a luggage room for the whole day, free of charge.

Thanks to Greg, a very careful receptionist who makes my stay pleasant despite being too shortly in Budapest for work. The door lock of the single room I booked was broken and I had the chance to be upgraded to a spatious and bright double room, many thanks.

the bathroom was very old and the shower was really small. there was an old orange juice left in the fridge. you have to pay 5 euros for the luggage storage.
