Location was great, the room was amazingly well equipped, quiet and the mattress was exceptionally comfortable. The whole staff did their best to satisfy our needs and they went beyond and above to make sure our stay perfect. I recommend this hotel 100%. Also, the bathroom is one the most beautiful bathroom I have ever seen :)

Strategically located in the Inner City at the foot of Elisabeth Bridge (on the Pest Side) this newly revamped Palace is the perfect place to base yourself while taking in everything that the beautiful city of Budapest has to offer. The Hammam, Sauna and Spa are all top notch, as is the restaurant, cafe and rooftop bar. The staff are awesome, as is the breakfast and room service which we took advantage of both during the day and in the wee hours after a night out enjoying the amazing nightlife which this amazing city is famous for. Thanks for the hospitality, we are already looking forward to our next visit. T&L.

Thank you so much to Dora at the reception desk, she made checking in and out a really smooth process. Thank you Marton on the evening shift, who always greeted us with a smile and opened the car doors for us. The hotel is spectacular and beautiful, it really exceed expectations. All staff were polite and friendly which is just what you need when on holiday to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are sound proof and it feel like you’re staying in your own little luxury apartment. Breakfast was delicious, especially the crispy bacon and pancakes (definitely recommend). Will definitely book at this hotel again when coming back to Budapest. It is very central and easy to walk to places or take a taxi.

Breakfast excellent staff personable professional and helpful. Beds very comfortable, rooms lovely bathroom excellent size and supplies. Location is ideal easy access to Public Transport, lots within walking distance.

Meal in Matild cafe spoiled by using the cheapest of cheap frozen chips for a place of this standard very disappointed. Also unable to have a cocktail of choice from menu as they had not got the main ingredient. The food otherwise was good.

The location was perfect. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our loft room was so peaceful and the comfy bed meant we had a fantastic night sleep

As a 5* luxury branded hotel, I would have expected a turn down service in the evening, removing towels used during the day etc. While there was a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, there wasn’t much in the way of drawer space. There were two drawers in the wardrobe of which one was a built in safe leaving one small drawer for two of us to share. Our flannels also weren’t replaced in the bathroom after initial use so we were left without by the end.

An incredible building, our room was stunning, huge floor to ceiling curtains, electrically controlled, sheer elegance. The bathroom was equally impressive. The Cafe where we had breakfast was a step back to another era in time, so much to admire.

My only small comment here is that for our 3 breakfasts we had to search around to find the venue ,as it changed each day. Someone did mention it might be on the Messages section of your TV but we didn’t ever need to look at that… however if you know you will be alternating venues mention it to guests on check in and we would have known and checked, it was just irritating to be walking around to find where we could get breakfast each morning.

Truly exceptional stay. The hotel is the perfect mix of old and new, completely (and recently) renovated in a lovely historic building. Seriously, the room had fifteen foot ceilings and a magnificent tiled bathroom. The service was five stars - the staff offered me a welcome drink upon check in, immediately helped with luggage, and repeatedly thanked me for being a Marriott bonvoy member. Also a great location - next to the bridge (the other chain bridge is closed for renovation) so can easily cross to the Pest side, as well as a ten minute walk to the shopping area. All in all, this hotel is an absolute steal for the price. I imagine it’s only because it’s new and people don’t know about it yet. We stayed at another five star hotel (Aria) as well, and Matild is head and shoulders better than that one in every way.

Beautiful newly renovated space in the heart of Budapest. Exceptional service and amenities. Truly amazing experience!

The only complaint we had was regarding its rooftop bar The Dutchess. We never felt welcomed there and the quality of service was much lower than in the rest of the hotel - we were there multiple times due to its nice scenery but always had to wait super long time to get waiters attention and the service was never as pleasant and professional as in the rest of the hotel

We stayed at the Madild Palace for 3 nights before joining a river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam. It was an easy walk with our luggage to the cruise terminal. The hotel is in a great location near really good cafes and restaurants. The hotel is housed in a very beautiful building which has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The standard of service was very high at all levels, from front desk, porters, wait staff in cafe for both breakfast and dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. This would have to rate as one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in.
