It is a perfect place, do not skip if avaliable. From location to value for money, from safety to in-hostel facilities and the fast crisis management capabilities. Staff were always so helpful and full of suggestions. This place also has wine nights to meet other travelers. I especially loved the French windows that gave full view of ferenciek tere and two 5-star hotels, the best square in budapest.

Light in the female dorm isn't enough, especially if you are getting ready for dinner.

Lock, they won't provide a free lock for the locker. If you carry one then all good, Otherwise 5 € for a lock. It's not a negative negative comment but yeah just so you know in advance

I think it has been the best stay at a hostel I have ever experienced, the hostel was divided into small apartments with 4 rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, which made the atmosphere homey and personal, it was easy to get to know the people who where in your apartment. The staff was kind and helpful, Adam who checked me in and helped us numerous times along our stay was kind and attentive. My 6 person bedroom was not filled with bunckbeds like in previous experiences, it was divided into two spaces, like a "loft" with 4 individual beds in the bottom space and 2 individual beds in the superior space. It was spacious and cleanly decorated, which didn't make it claustrophobic, as the experience usually it. You where comfortable and felt like home, the space was inviting to make connections, and create a positive atmosphere. I loved it and had the best time ❤️

The grand entrance for an Asian like me really made me wow. I had a great impression right away and the staff were really friendly and passionate to share what they know. I did not get their but they were an former teacher and a guy from Brazil. I had a good time here and also I made new friends in the dorm. Me felling in love with Budapest, Maverick can take a big chunk of the credits.

I was put on the upper part of the bunk. For a shorty like me, it was kinda hard to go up n down but I kind of get used to it after three days and I finally felt comfortable climbing up and down.

There are excellent facilities in this hostel, such as the showers and the comfortable beds, but also the clean and well-equipped kitchen. The communal space is cosy with nice seatings. WiFi worked well. Coffee, tea and apples! included in the price. The location near Deak Ferenc metro station and close to the airport bus stop is as central as can be. A Lidl supermarket is at the corner of the building in which the hostel is housed. I was afraid the acoustics of the historic mansion would be problematic, but the hostel is well renovated and quiet (also no traffic noise). Staff spoke English and was helpful. Well selected and trained, a sign of good management.

The price was a bit higher than at other low-budget places, but I did not mind, as you also get (much) more for your money. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a hidden gem in Budapest that packs a punch you won't see coming! 💥🌟 I stayed in a female dorm, which is quite decent, really love the little chocolate 🍫 they put on the bed when you arrive, so cute! They have excellent events going on, and I got to join a wine tasting night hosted by the lovely and hilarious Benjamin, who just happened to be such a sweetheart. Their witty charm made the evening an absolute delight. The staff, especially Tibor at the reception, were incredibly helpful and welcoming. He not only provided great tips for exploring the city but also added a friendly and sweet touch to the whole experience. Other than that, best location in the city, mostly everything is within walking distance 😊 will comeback for sure!

On my first night I couldn’t sleep because people have been pacing around the room at 3 like a herd of tap-dancing elephants. It's an absurdly noisy adventure you never signed up for 🙂 but anyway it’s not the hostel fault. I would book private room if I had been richer lol

It's an historical building that in any other country would be occupied by posh apartments or a museum. It is still to be renovated. You get to stay there! It's divided in floors, so your room shares with other rooms a kitchen, a common area and services, like a shared house/apartment.

In summer it will be too hot. Even at 20 C the room needed two fans running non-stop. The open single-sided window means noise from the street will come in. Still comfy though.

I had a wonderful experience at the hostel! The room was very spacious with comfortable beds, everything was clean in the room, and had wonderful windows overlooking beautiful buildings. Additionally, there were free events for guests almost every day. During our stay, we had the opportunity to enjoy a Hungarian wine tasting event where a charming and friendly receptionist chatted with us about our origins and recommended the best places to visit. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return!

Location! 2 mins from Elisabeth Bridge. 2 Metro entrances near the hostel, one is right in front of it. Lidl, a bakery and pizza shop next door. If coming by airport shuttle, get off at Dear Ferenc which is a 10min walk to the hostel. Lots of eateries around. Double room is a good size for a 5 night stay. Sofa and mini fridge were handy. Shower had great pressure. You can even open windows in the room but there's lot of smokers hang out outside. Common kitchen area had tea/coffee making facilities. Not a big area. Staff were very helpful with tips and helping me print out a ticket. Will return if I ever visit Budapest.
