I liked the value for the price at Promenade. I had a very pleasant stay within my budget, however nothing was missed in my relaxing and convenient stay. I liked that my single room was not over the top and it had everything I needed, I didn’t pay for any extra additional luxury. The bedding was so cozy, bathroom has plenty of space.

I had some confusion whether I could use the elevator or not, it appeared to be only for baggage so I just used the stairs which wasn’t so bad for me! I later saw that many travellers were comfortable using the elevator. The breakfast room made me nervous that it might be crowded in the small space. However, I was happily surprised that there was the perfect amount of room to serve yourself a nice meal and interact with the lovely staff who helped me get comfortable.

Very convenient, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops. Easy access to visited locations, by walking mostly. We stayed during the end of December till New Year day so easy access to a few Christmas markets nearby. Breakfast was overall a good experience for European hotels. Rooms are clean with fridge provided so handy to have. Would recommend to friends and stay here if in Budapest again.

The staff was very kind and polite. The hotel is located in a perfect spot. If you are a "walking addict" like myself, you will really like its location since it is very close to many attraction points. However, if you prefer to use public transport, well you hit the bullseye again. Several bus, tram and metro lines are within close perimeter, making it easy for you to go wherever you want within minutes. The breakfast was nice (but adding a few more options would be great). Our room and hotel itself were very clean (actually the hotel was smelling detergent :) ). The room curtains were allowing you to block the sunlight and making the room dark for a good sleep. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Although I stayed here only one night hotel made it obvious that it was a perfect choice for getting a good service on a budget.

The only negative-ish thing I would mention is the elevator. Since the main elevator was not working during our stay we used the large elevator which was only going up to 5th floor (our room was on the 6th). However it was not a big deal.

Lovely hotel, with easy transport to and from airport and very central base for exploring Budapest. Can't fault it at all. Having read some of the reviews before booking, I was wary that I might have a room with an internal view of the elevator, however stayed in room 106 and found this not to be the case (I had the view of an outside stairwell) but you don't go on holiday for a hotel room view! Nevertheless, room was comfortable and clean. If I'm ever back in Budapest, I wouldn't hesitate to book Promenade City again.

THE BEST LOCATION, right near all the shops, restaurants and McDonalds is two minutes away. There is a bus stop, train station very nearby also. Hotel breakfast was reasonable, you have to get there early or all the good stuff is finished and they do not top it up as often towards the end. The rooms are huge and you have to try the bubble bath solution. It bubbles up like something in the movies. We were on the second floor and had a view of the street, despite assuming it may be loud, in the evening and late at night it is pretty much silent so do not worry about having a good nights sleep. You have to pay city tax when you get to the hotel so bring cash. There is always someone at reception so you can ask them for advice on what to visit, they can also organise excursions if wanted. Overall would highly recommend if you want somewhere with the BEST of locations.

Loved everything, in particular the kindness of staff, first day i caught a lot of rain on arrival, i was allowed to enter the room sooner then the check in hour, after a few days i had a problem with my foot and they did as much as possible to try and help me, on check out i had the help to check if i had everything with me, it was so nice to have those people for a week, really carefull and comited with the costumers... breakfast also great in a cozy nice place...if i go back, i will stay with you again Loved it

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. . The location was good, not far from the Liberty bridge. Good value for money. I forgot to bring my adapter plugs but the hotel lent me two. A Tip: We found it easy to miss on several occasions. It's in between Hotel Mercure and adidas.

The breakfast room was small considering the size of the hotel so could be crowded. The cereal bowls could be bigger.

A beautiful hotel right on one of the main streets of Budapest, close to the main shopping area and lots of attractions. Public transport is a 10 minute stroll from the hotel. The room was very spacious (we had a triple) and very warm! The bathroom was large with plenty of space for our toiletries. The staff were exceptional, both the reception staff as well as the breakfast room staff. The reception staff offered lots of information on restaurants and places to see. The room was extremely clean and well stocked with bathroom necessities.

My only complaint, and it's very minor, is that the mattresses were a little on the thin side but the pillows were very soft and comfy.

I can only wholeheartedly recommend Promenade City. The guy receiving me around midnight after a very long delayed flight is one of the best welcomes I've ever had in a hotel. Sorry I didn't get your name. The hotel is located close to everything you need for seeing the important things of Budapest. The room was quiet in spite of one instance of heavy rain while I was there.

i don't really have anything negative to say about this hotel.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel, well located in a pedestrianised street in the city centre - staffed by friendly, helpful people. The wifi was great, and the breakfast, whilst a bit pedestrian, was also good.

MInor quibbles only . . . The single room I was initially given was very small - but due to a problem with the air conditioning in it - I was moved to a larger room anyway. The 'breakfast room' could do with some expansion, people were having to wait around for a table.
