This was my third stay in Budapest, at the very same hotel, Memories Old Town. The staff never fails to impress you from the beginning of your stay until the very last minute you leave. I was welcomed very warmly as always, waited just for a few minutes (while having their exceptional coffee!) to get into my room which was upgraded thanks to the kindness of the good people at the reception. I had already mentioned in my previous reviews the overall design, silence and comfort of the property, as well as its very central location, and I would like to highlight them all again. If you are staying at least 2-3 days, choose this hotel, buy a Budapest Card (available 24 to 120 hours) and enjoy unlimited rides to buses, trams and metro from the stops that are only minutes away from the building! Overall, Memories Old Town is amongst the top hotels I have ever stayed in, and I will always remember the natural kindness of the staff and my time and memories in Budapest with a smile!

Good location, walkable to most things, but a quiet, calm area. It's less than 5 min walk from the airport bus stop at Kalvin square; about 15 min walk to the Jewish Quarter and about 10-15 min to Gellert thermal bath. There are cafes/fast food/mini-markets locally. We'd asked for a quiet room and they delivered. Staff all friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very varied and good quality, especially for a small hotel, lots of staff around to clear plates/replenish dishes. We enjoyed the sauna/jacuzzi; rooftop bar wasn't open as it's out of season. Bed was comfortable, room decor nice and shower room a decent size and seemed recently renovated.

I'd rather have had a ceramic mug than a disposable one for tea in the room, but that's literally the only thing I'd have changed.

All good, staff very helpful, excellent breakfast and good location. Liked the pillow menu.

Room was quiet as we requested but being on the inside, room was dark. Spacious room but really lacked hanging space, more hooks could easily be added for coats, clothes, as lots of empty wall space, especially in corridor of room. Light switches not well positioned, had to keep walking to door to switch off light in hallway. Hotel Reception (Sandor very helpful) very welcoming & lent us a phone charger. However, some usb points in room would be useful in todays day and age. Rooftop area (only outside space) was closed which was a shame but we were told that it was being refurbished out of season.

Hotel was very comfortable and clean and located in an excellent area for exploring Budapest - easy walking distance to many of the sites that I wanted to see. I felt safe even walking alone at night. Staff were very professional and friendly - we had a minor concern with our room and the staff member Xnie made changes to the room assignment immediately to address our concerns. Breakfast was excellent - very tasty and extensive number of choices. Coffee orders individually taken, prepared and served promptly - very good! Arrived early in the day - but were welcomed, offered coffee and fresh pastry and allowed to store our luggage until check-jn later in the day - much appreciated!

This was my second stay at this hotel as the first one was a very good experience. This one was even better, starting with the staff (kindest people on earth) recognizing me after nearly 8 months, even with my preference of coffee! I realized how central is the location of the hotel once more, with more experience on public transport this time. It is on the Pest side (30 second walk to bus stop, 1 min walk to metro station) but even all major attractions on Buda side is just a matter of a max 20 min. travel time. Very safe neighborhood, not on a noisy street and there is a pub in a 1-min walking distance if you still want to hang out for a few more drinks after a night out. The hotel is very clean and rooms have enough space, with very cosy decoration. (brick walls and small details like the vintage alarm clock, combined with steam-punk like design of shelves using water pipes and big light bulbs). No need to think twice when booking a room in this hotel!

Great location, very near multiple public transport options, the river and restaurants/ bars. Very clean, fabulous breakfast choices Helpful staff , very friendly which was nice as I was on my own for 1/2 my stay before a friend joined. Rooftop terrace , good views.

Not much to complain about, being very picky, the bin in the bathroom wasn’t emptied every day. Rooftop terrace is only open from 17.00 to 22.00, understood why as noise restrictions, but would have been nice to stay open slightly later or at lunchtime. I shortened my stay by one night, admittedly it was only 3 weeks before my stay, but it increased the overall price, so I ended up paying more for 9 nights than the 10 I had originally booked and I couldn’t reverse it. I do understand it, but left a bit of a sour taste given the already high price I was paying for August/ Budapest during the World Athletics Championships.

We loved everything about this hotel. Nice interior design, helpful staff. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast buffet - the best I've seen at hotels so far. Plenty of options, including savoury dishes, juices, tea, coffee (they do have plant-based milk for your cappuccino!) and some tasty bubbles... Very nice lounge areas and rooftop bar! The room we booked was pretty basic but clean and comfy. We did not use the wellness zone so can't say much about it. Hotel's location is great. Close to touristy zone and super easy to get to with the airport coach.

Nothing specific really. I'd tone down with aroma diffusers on the corridor, it was a bit too much for me but that's just my preference.

We stayed here for 5 nights and we liked it a lot. The staff was polite, there is a SPA area which is mostly “private” since there’s nobody there. On top of that, the breakfast was wonderful - the food was always fresh, they have a professional machine for coffees, they squeeze you fresh orange juice.

The only thing which we didn’t like that much was the bathroom and the cleaning service. On the first night there were 4 different types of towels - body, hands, face, towel robes. On the other days they changed only the body ones and we needed to ask for new ones of the other types. Also, the bathroom is poorly designed and the floor is always wet

Me and my friends were absolutely blown away with how stunning this hotel was! Comfortable beds, everywhere spotless and clean, delicious breakfast and staff that went out of their way to help you. We will definitely come back here when we return to Budapest. The lady who greeted us when we checked in was extremely helpful and gave us many ideas for our weekend in Budapest. Other than the mini bar there didnt seem to be any 'extra cost' items- for the price the hotel is very generous with what it provides. Slay!

I liked everything. First of all it is very well located. It is 5 min walk (or less!) from the bus stop that takes you from and to the airport. Also from metro station and walking distance to the market and the river. The personal was always super nice and smiley. Tu room was beautiful, super clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable and they even have a selection of pillows. It was not noisy at all. I slept super well. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety. It was big big with a lot of food and delicious coffee. I would stay here without doubt and would very much recommend it !
