The place was nice and i always stay there when i come to Budapest, the girl checked me out was nice and polite ..

Well it s my 1st time in my life writing bad reviews but i faced really bad attitude from the girl named Nikki , (she is not the girl who checked me in , she came after her) i asked her whats the code for the door downstairs ? She answered me in angry face and shouting , and again she was shouting at my why i asked for early checked in .. she was extremely disrespectful , awful and racist . Well booking.com know that i travel the world and i never wrote bad reviews or had any issues like this before

Hotel Rumour exceeded our expectations! Even before arriving I mentioned to them it was my friends birthday before and they contacted me to arrange a bottle of prosecco and balloons in the room which made it so special. The lady who checked us in behind reception (sorry I forgot her name!) was so welcoming and friendly and is a true asset to the hotel. A glass of champagne after a day of travelling was a touch we appreciated! The room was a great size, Netflix on the tv, clean and warm bathroom and hotel was decorated beautifully. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest as it was perfectly located just a short walk to St Stephens Basilica and walking distance over Chain Bridge to the castle. Our trip was faultless and I can't thank Hotel Rumour enough for contributing to a fantastic trip

There was nothing about the hotel we did not like

Location is perfection, the staff was extremely nice and kind, the style is beautiful and the room was very large.

The cleaning staff definitely needs improvement. one of the main reasons why I prefer a hotel over Airbnb is the amenities and coming back to a clean room. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case in Rumor Hotel. The staff never replaced the vanities unless I asked for it, and when I did they left 1 tiny body lotion (when I asked for shower gel and shampoo). i kept asking daily. They didn’t do any proper cleaning for 5 days, as there was dust everywhere in the bathroom and in the room which I cleaned by myself with a tissue. Also, the shower kept leaking a lot of water so I always had to mop the floor with the clean towels and they didn’t replace the towels always, but they hung it on the heater to dry. I don’t want to use towels I cleaned the floor with.

Excellent location! Very nice and friendly hosts! High-quality coffee and tea, together with an iced welcoming prosseco!

Our bed was a little bit shaking. Our room was facing the high-noisy boulevard - so this nice view deserves a better noise insulation!

A nice boutique hotel with a nicely decorated reception. Our studio was quite large with a kitchen and nespresso machine. The hotel co locates with other hotels/ apartments. The 3 receptionists we met were very friendly, interested, and provided us a lot of information to get around in Budapest. The best recommendation was Anna cafe, where we had our daily breakfast. The location was perfect to visit all parts of Buda and Pest, with the metro next door and lots of eateries around.

Infoirtunately the hotel also had it downs, which are easy to rectify; cleaning was limited to 2 cups of nespresso, drying of the shower floor and changing of towels.Toiletries we had to ask for at the reception. No real sign of cleaning, even the bed was as we left it. We wanted to use plates, but traces of food of former guests were still visible, so we didnt use them. Wifi was not stable and we had to rely often on our own data subscription. During working days there was at 7.30 am already noise of repair works on the other parts of the premises, so a long sleep wasnt possible. Bed was in bad state, cracking on every turn. It just taking these points into account and change it . But definitively we will come back !!

The interior is incredible, you submerge in a different world. The staff were very friendly and the place was super clean. A random mention but also the temperature in the room was just perfect

We got a room that was facing the ferrywheel and there was a magnificent view, I’d just warn people staying there that some rooms are “noisier” than the rest. The staff offered to switch the room and we were prepared already so it didn’t bother us but worth mentioning!

Everything! This hotel is a little diamond in the heart of Budapest. A charming mix between modern & traditional style and perfectly located. There are great breakfast options, bars & restaurants around. Also public transportation, shopping street and all these things are just around the corner. Being in the very center of the city you don't feel this inside the hotel. It's very safe, relaxt and cozy. Beds are comfy and as a coffee lover I highly appreciated the coffee machine in my room. Also team was super friendly and always there to help. In total I loved my stay here. Whenever coming back to Budapest I will come back to Rumor hotel.

Fantastic stay, fabulous location to explore the city while not being too noisy. Prosecco on arrival and room cleaned everyday which was great.

For a 4 star hotel, I wish the lobby/ bar area was less of a reception area and would have liked to have a drink/ cocktail whenever we wanted. In addition, it’s important guests are aware these are apartment style hotel rooms.

Beautiful property. Very comfortable room. The location is outstanding. The airport shuttle stop is a 2-4 minute walk from the hotel. We walked everywhere, didn’t need any public transport. It was close to plenty of bars and restaurants. The staff were very attentive. Offered us Prosecco/ cappuccino while we waited for the check in processes. There was apples and lemon buns to take too.

There isn’t much of bar area which is the only thing missing, no breakfast so you do just really sleep there but very comfortable stay and for the location it’s worth it.

I loved the warmth and friendliness of the staff, the welcoming atmosphere, and the superb location. The decor seamlessly combines exceptional style with practical functionality.

The shower curtains are notably short, resulting in a consistently wet bathroom floor, which can be rather uncomfortable. The bedroom window opens to an interior courtyard corridor, that gives access to other rooms, which results in occasional noise when guests are entering their rooms. Nevertheless, given the relatively small number of rooms, I did not find it to be a significant concern.
