We really enjoyed our brief stay in this hotel. We had a very comfortable and attractive room on the main level overlooking the nearby beach. The desk clerk was efficient and friendly, not to mention extremely patient with my husband who had umpteen questions. She also recommended a truly exceptional new restaurant, Berki, which we would have missed without her suggestion. It’s less than a five minute walk from the hotel. Don’t miss it!

This sounds really trivial, but the only trash can provided was a tiny one in the bathroom. Another one in the room would be an excellent addition.

Free parking & Wifi. Modern, clean and bright bathroom. Comfy bed and nice white towels. Nice warm welcome at reception makes us feel good. Breakfast buffet lots of variety too. Stayed one night only coz on the move sight seeing. We drove up a small hill near the hotel and could see the glaciers. Many eatery nearby too. We had a nice stay

No coasters for the glasses in the bathroom. May be acrylic cups safer. The glass top table. Wish it was an electric kettle instead of coffee maker. Its just me I guess not familiar with coffee machines. No TV

The location of the hotel is ideal, central and with a view of the harbour. The room was good and the bed comfortable. Although we were later arriving than intended, this was no problem and the staff were helpful.

There was nothing that we didn't like. We were a little disappointed that there was no mini fridge in the room and no tea or coffee making facilities. When my husband went to find me a cup of coffee in the morning he was told that all rooms had coffee making facilities so I'm not quite sure what had happened with ours.

Staff went above and beyond - the dryer hadn't worked at our previous rental house so we showed up with a few bags of wet (but clean) laundry. They allowed us to use one of the industrial dryers to take care of it. The young lady at the front desk got everything squared away for us quickly and professionally. Rooms and beds were comfy, the location was great (the Pakkhaus restaurant and Hafið bar are both quick walks), and it was easy to find.

Staff was extremely helpful during our stay. We were stuck in Höfn for two days due to hurricane force winds that lasted nearly the entire time. They allowed us to stay past normal checkout to make sure the Northern roads would reopen. When they didn't, they renewed our room for the same price while other hotels increases their rates $100+. Some Google reviews complain about the smell of fish.. we didn't run into that, but I don't know what else you can expect in a seaside fishing town. Others complained that they didn't have shampoo and other bathroom supplies they could take when they checked out, which also makes sense considering the amount of needless plastic waste that goes into filling rooms with little plastic bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Ignore the "Karens" leaving bad reviews. They're likely people that will never be satisfied no matter what happens.

A fridge would have been helpful, but it was cold enough at night to keep our groceries in the car.

Beautiful wall to wall view of bay and natural setting. Nice bedding, shower and bath amenities. Plenty of room to lay out our stuff. Great location....3 restaurants within a 3 minute walk. Harbor and park all within walking distance, too.

Hotel is showing some wear. No TV...it had been removed. Jacks and plugs for it above the desk. But no big deal since we wouldn't have watched it anyway.

The hotel was ideally located for the sites we wanted to visit. The location was relaxing and convenient, after a long drive from Seydisfjordur. Room had enough space and the bathroom size was good - for a "European bathroom" standard. I love the toiletries! And we had fantastic views of the glaciers from our room during clear days! Plenty of walking trails - flat for older travelers like us - to just unwind at the end of a day of glacier, beach, etc. sightseeing. Restaurants were within walking distance, and you have a lot to choose from. And there is a laundry drop off service nearby, for those needing one, while doing the Ring Road.

The location was excellent, right in the harbour,plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walk,plenty of parking, easy to find, nice walks up onto the headland , watch out for the birds though stick to the path not the road during nesting. Reasonable breakfast..no cooked eggs bacon etc but nice coffee, breads, yogurt, cereal, fish ! No lift but plenty of rooms on the ground floor.Tea and coffee and creamer in rooms but not much. Lovely views from our room could see the mountains and when it stopped raining the glaciers too.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Edda Hofn. The location on the water was wonderful and very convenient to a few great restaurants. The property itself was nice and the common area was especially comfortable. They have some nice outdoor sitting areas that look out over the water. A great place to have a glass of wine or a beer. We ate dinner at a wonderful restaurant a short walk from the hotel but had breakfast in the hotel the next morning and it was good.

Our room on the second floor was a bit noisy but not bad overall.

Comfortable, modern room. Checkin staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful lobby and outdoor terrace with a beautiful view. Our room also had a lovely view of the sea and glaciers. Great location in Hofn. Easy access to the walking path along the water and quick walk to two restaurants, including Pakkhaus, the famous fish restaurant in Hofn.

WiFi not very good. Kept cutting out. First place we have stayed in Iceland where internet was a problem, and we stayed in some much older facilities, in much smaller communities than Hofn.
