The host was so sweet, welcoming us and showing us our room, which was large and comfortable. The common shower was just in front of our room and was also comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best I had in the trip. It's self served in the upper floor large kitchen and common area/lounge. Every room gets a plate with slices of yellow cheese, pastrami and more. There were multiple jams, bread, eggs, and a coffee machine with coffee beans, in which you can make the perfect cappuccino.

The only small thing is that the check-in process was just a bit unclear. We were supposedly given a code to a key box with our key, but turned out as our reservation was not yet paid we didn't get the code. Anyway i texted the host when we got there and she immediately went out to help so it wasn't much an issue.

Communication with the host was excellent - we knew exactly how to get our key and check in. Loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer! Lots of amenities in the kitchen so we could make our own food, and two large areas to sit and eat. The couch and chairs in the sitting area were very comfortable. Room was good, and bathrooms were clean. Highly recommend!

The shower is a bit small - larger people may have a hard time maneuvering in it. But it was not an issue. Kitchen also gets a little crowded at times, but again, this is not a big deal and it’s something we would expect. Happy to have a kitchen with all of the amenities! Wifi is really slow and at times does not work.

We stayed in a room with a shared bath. The room, house and bathrooms were very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped to make meals if you chose to do so. It is in a great location. Easily walkable to grocery store, just a minute away.

The bedroom was a bit stark although completely adequate. Rug(s)/ curtains would warm it up quite a bit I think.

Beautiful and good location. Free parking space, grocery store few minutes by foot. The host was so helpful and welcoming. Very nice and well equipped property (kitchen, bathroom, sitting and dining area, bedroom).

Unfortunately there was no breakfast option, I guess it is only available in the high season.

The living room was really nice with a great view. There's a kitchen with everything you may need to cook. You will find the breakfast in the fridge in the morning (lot of choice). Every room and the bathroom were cleaned.

This was a great guesthouse. The breakfast was amazing. They lay out separate trays for each room, which was very nice. They have fruit, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, juices, and coffee. The guesthouse was quiet and clean. We shared a bathroom with another couple and had no issues. The check-in process was easy. Though the back parking was full when we arrived, we were able to get a parking spot out front. We were very comfortable staying here and would recommend it!

The owner was very nice and friendly, and the place was very clean. It felt more like a house than a hostel with the common area and kitchen. Great location, walking distance from the restaurants nearby, and our room had a view of the sea.

Sigga the host was pleasant, energetic, helpful and informative. She gave informed suggestions on local places to visit. The location right in the town of Hofn, near grocery store, public pool and town hillock park / view point was very convenient. The breakfast was excellent - tasty, extensive and well-organized. Other guests were friendly and respectful.

Nothing could have been better. We knew ahead of time that the bath was shared.

The breakfast was well thought out and plentiful. The location was wonderful. The tile in the upstairs shower was pretty grimy, but the bedrooms and common spaces were bright and clean.

Upon arrival, we saw a sign on the window saying the doorbell was broken and directing us to call the host. We didn't have international cell coverage and wouldn't have been able to do that if our traveling companions didn't have their own cell plan. It's not acceptable to just assume travelers will be able to call.

Nice clean room in a historic property. The upstairs bathroom is huge & clean. It's well renovated to feel warmth, homely and cozy. Breakfast is simple & sufficient.

Bathrooms is on shared basis, so you need to wait during the morning peak period. Stairs are a little narrow to tug your luggages up/down.
