This is the BEST hotel we stayed at during our 10 day road trip. The customer service is exceptional. We arrived after midnight and there was a sign stuck on the door for us to call to have the door opened for us. The gentleman who greeted us at this late hour was truly exceptional . He assisted us in every way he could to try to help us settle in easily and comfortably. The breakfast is of the highest standard. lots of delicious options to choose from. The rooms were spotless and the bed was comfy. After checking out we returned to the hotel for a quick stop as it was along our route and the young lady at the front desk was amazing yet again, getting us hot water for our coffee cups and allowing us the use of the restrooms. This is truly a beautiful hotel with great staff and facilities. Wish i had checked in to this hotel earlier to be able to enjoy the clean facilities a bit more.

The face sink in the bathroom is surprisingly pretty small. It just seemed so out of place, where everything else was perfect. This did not affect my stay and my top notch review of this property.

Hotel Jökull was a great stop right off the ring road. Although we arrived after checkin, our host stayed until 23:45 to greet us. He was extremely friendly. Our room overlooked a glacier. It was the largest room we stayed in on our whole trip and was equipped with its own bathroom and balcony. There were also small windows above the beds, which was nice because we left the curtain open to receive gentle morning light instead of leaving the large window curtain open (too much light). The breakfast the next morning was yummy and the dining area was spacious and pretty. The inside of the hotel was really nice. And…there’s a gas station right across the street. The location was great as well as it was 10 mins from Hofn and close to Vesturhorn and the Viking village movie set.

The only thing that was not our preference was that the shower curtain didn’t do a very good job holding water out of the rest of the bathroom (since there was no basin).

Stayed here for one night whilst doing the ring road around Iceland. Check in was easy and the rooms was clean, tidy, and a good size; no complaints on this front. Slightly longer drive than expected into Höfn for dinner, but not a major issue (BTW, if you go to Höfn for dinner, go to the Pakkhús restaurant - great food there). Only complaint about the room is, if you are going to put a kettle in a room, make it so that you can put it under the tap! Really annoying having to fill a glass and then decant that into the kettle! Breakfast was included in the cost of the room and was really good quality- plenty of choice to set us up for the next part of our trip. Certainly a great place for a one night stop over.

Great location next to the fwy, just a few minutes out of Höfn so close to several restaurants in addition to its own. Room was spacious, nice shower, and extra pillows available without having to ask. It was a little warm even with the window open (early August), so we used a travel fan we brought. We stayed in the secondary/guesthouse building, which had giant windows in one wall; decent "mountain view" past the main building. Breakfast buffet had really good pastries and sliced meats.

Big parking lot, very friendly staff which gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner (the great Kjarr Restaurant in Höfn) and breakfast was decent with a good selection of food. They even have a charging station for your EV at the parking lot.

Soundproofing of the room and the hotel doesn't have a lift, so if you're not able to easily carry your luggage up, ask for a room on the ground floor. Bathroom didn't had a air vent and the washing basin is very small so it's very difficult to place any toiletries

The hotel lobby and rooms appeared fairly new, had a modern inviting look, and were clean. Buffet breakfast had a plentiful variety of items making each one of us happy.

The only item I would have enjoyed better is a larger size of the sink and a glass door in the shower. There was not much room on or around the sink to store personal items of more than one person. There were 4 of us in the room. The plastic curtain didn't provide much cover from water getting on the floor outside of the shower stall.

The rooms exceeded my expectations with their high-level standards and modern amenities. I found the beds very comfortable. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the employees were friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.

The views from my room were not as expected, as I was facing the parking lot rather than a more scenic area. Additionally, there was an issue with the heating, and it was not functioning.

Clean, sunny rooms with good views. Very nice common areas. They came in and refreshed our towels while we were out for the day, which was appreciated. Very generous breakfast buffet that was quickly restocked during busy times. The staff was super nice, even with a bunch of people staying there on a bus tour were completely rude and awful during breakfast.

Wifi was spotty for us. There isn't much else to do in the immediate town, but that's not their fault. Hofn is super close by.

The parking to get to registration was minimal. Our building was aside from main bldg. and the breakfast room set up was very basic as compared to our previous hotels where tables had placemat, a small plant, etc. this was more like a meeting room where they served breakfast.

Some gathering area room to sit, visit and relax after a long car trip. Our building had a large space as we entered, but not inviting siting area, with maybe a coffee machine, water pitcher, etc. Too cold in common areas.

Breakfast was decent and the staff was very helpful.

We were travelling with family (group of six). Four of us has our room reserved in one building and two of us had a reservation. I'd appreciate the rooms together for the family travelling together. The staff tried to help but blamed it on the way the system took the reservation request. Either way, it was unexpected and inconvenient to separate luggage and family members during our trip to Iceland for one night.
