Fabric and facilities good

The email that came from Gordon House soon after I booked via Booking.com. Demanded a form to be completed and payment must be paid, otherwise rooms would not be confirmed. Caused major anxiety. It look several international calls. Ive booked Booking com Multiple times and never known of a hotel asking for a separate bank form + payment. .

Clean (Entire hotel including the bathrooms)

The staff give preference and help White tourist more then Indians. An example is when I asked for a second bedroom key, I was told it’s not possible. The next day a large group of White tourist came to the hotel, a gentleman asked for a second key and the same staff member who told me it can’t be done, gave the gentleman the second key.

It was charming and the staff were helpful( see below) with advice.

I thought it was a little pricey. I also thought getting anywhere touristy from there was pricey bc it was a little out of the way. Also, I thought that as a hotel at that price point they would be more helpful in arranging transport to other places… instead you were basically on your own getting a cab or tuk tuk.

I always stay here on my trips to India, it's conveniently situated, staff especially management are very accomadating. They have a good breakfast spread catering for all culinary tastebuds. The staff at the breakfast venue are very pleasant and friendly and overall the hotels hospitality is top notch.

I had a bit of an altercation with the online booking team, I felt the person that responded to me was unprofessional in their approach and lacking customer etiquette. I just hope that in future they take the liberty to acknowledge their loyal patrons.

Rooms were good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good if you chose the free a la carte options. Buffet a bit limited. Excellent location, it really couldn't be better. Nice staff and pleasant concierge

Check in time strictly adhered too even though rooms were available. Not very flexible.

The location and ease of access. Popular eateries and destinations are at a walking distance and getting cabs or Uber is very easy. The hotel is old and well-maintained. Even though you're in a busy area, the rooms are quite sound proof and the noise from the road barely reaches the room. The staff were very polite, courteous and helpful. Overall, a very memorable stay in Colaba. :)

I cannot think of anything right away.

The rooms are quite spacy and provide a nice athmosphere. The location is in the middle of Colaba with short distance to main sights and many restaurants.

The breakfast has been shrinked down significantly compared to former years. The choice is very small. It is more Indian style now. Continental items got reduced. Jam only on request. No different option of juice. Fruits quality is on the lower end.

This was a great place to begin my stay in India and get acclimated. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean spacious room with everything I needed, toiletries, free bottles of water, coffee kettle, quiet room, slept great, good AC, good restaurant in the building, great breakfast included with room, a buffet and the chef woukd also cook free breakfast to order. Excellent location right by the Gateway to India, where many tours start, near the part of town with the most sites to see, a few minutes walk to Colaba marke, the Oberoi hotel, and many restaurants. I had a really great stay for 3 nights.

I wish food was available in the restaurant all day. Just arriving to the country and having jet lag, I needed to eat between 3-7pm and get to bed early, too tired to go out into the intensity of Mumbai to find food, but the restaurant has limited hours/closed for hours between meals.

Location is fabulous. Only a stones throw away from Gateway of India and a short drive from all key touristy places. Breakfast is great with changes every day to the menu. Room was very large for a Mumbai hotel and Colaba area. Easily accommodated the extra bed and still left with space for walking around and keeping bags.

Late checkout policy is very restrictive. They allow only 1 hour extra even when requested well in advance. there will be many people like me who checked in very late on the first day and would be happy if the hotel accommodated late request for 3-4 hours especially when our flight is late evening. But the hotel wanted to charge half day charges for anything beyond one hour.
