Everything here was perfect, in fact it became one of the highlights of our Bali trip. The staff is amazingly friendly and young, the facilities, the room, and the food as well as its presentation is great. We stayed in a pool access suite, which was very spacious, and came along with afternoon tea, where they serve authentic Balinese Cakes. We liked the food so much that we ended up ordering in the room a few times. They also provide drop service to the city center which was very helpful! Would definitely recommend this for any romantic or family vacation.

There were some mosquitoes, given the room was next to the garden, but they had provided us with repellant sprays, so once we used it, the next day was so much better.

Everything about this stay was more than perfect. We had chosen the Suite pool access room. The whole staff were very warm and welcoming the minute we entered the property until we left. Special mention to our driver Wayan from the property who greeted us with a pizza, cold refreshing towels and water. Esa welcomed us with the sweetest smile and gave an intro about the entire property. Also, Ari from the reception who we could communicate with regards to the breakfast, evening tea and everything else. We took a complimentary yoga session for an hour and it was very relaxing. The pool and surrounding areas were well kept. The housekeeping team was on point. The property is in the city centre and perfect location to access everything essential around and we had rented out a scooter to go around. Highly recommended for anybody who visits Ubud.

Everything about this property was incredible. From the decor, ambience, pool, breakfast and afternoon tea included, small details in the room, to the exceptional, kind staff that make you feel at home. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. It rained during our stay and we loved it. Our “personal assistant” Gali, was so accommodating and even took pictures of my fiancé and I before we went out for dinner. I will recommend this property to anyone staying in Ubud. We loved it here!

Nothing!

We could not have picked a better place to stay in Ubud. From the moment we arrived, the staff have been so warm, helpful, and overly gracious. They create such a beautiful experience and really go the extra mile to make you feel cared for and taken care of. They are friendly and personable, and truly so lovely. The room is beautiful, luxurious, and clean. The pool is relaxing and serene. The restaurant has a great menu and is very tasty for breakfast and dinner. The spa is incredible, with amazing therapists who take their time with you to go through what you’d like. They also offer candle lit romantic experiences, painting, yoga, wood carving, and more. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Bali! August, and the spa therapists (we didn’t catch their names!!) who were working at the hotel, were specifically amazing staff members and made our trip extra special with their fantastic hospitality.

Loved all the extras we received at the property.. from the welcome foot ritual to the afternoon teas and the farewell drink.. also reminders to have bfast ordered and delivered to the room.. really enjoyed bfast on the balcony!!

The bathroom can be improved.. the shower area has old wooden planks that look like they’ve been there for a while and undergone a few too many showers.

This is my second stay in Purana! The first time I came here was in 2019, I think the hotel just opened. Amazed that nothing changed, the facilities still looked as good as new. Location is decent, a 10-minute walk from the city center. The staffs are amazing and very helpful. I would definitely recommend you book a spa session at the hotel!

The rooms were large and well equipped. The staff were exceptional. This is a 4 star hotel where you get 5 star treatment. Everyone is helpful and kind and always smiling and we were made to feel at home. We had a very comfortable stay. Had excellent treatment at the spa and felt very pampered. The food is also very good and we were well looked after for breakfast by Agus , Putra. Citra and the others. Apologies did not get everyones names but they all deserve a bonus !!! The front of staff all were so helpful Kudat and team . The staff create a calm and warm atmosphere. Thank you for an excellent stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing to dislike

Everything was perfect. - The staff were the most professional and kindest staff I have ever met in a hotel. They always went above and beyond and very friendly and smiling. - The rooms were outstanding. So clean and comfortable. The bathroom had an excellent, powerful shower and the bed was very company. - The pool area was so calm and relaxing. Pool very clean and good area to catch sun in the afternoon. - The food was great. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and all was great. Good room service, very efficient. - The spa was wonderful. The staff who worked here went above and beyond and opened the spa early for me before I left on the last day. My nails and massage were great. Perfect stay for our honeymoon.

Purana suite is a boutique style of accommodation with around 14 rooms and a two bedroom Villa. It has a very relaxed, quiet vibe which was exactly what we needed after venturing out into the busy streets. Breakfast was ordered each day for the next morning. The Bircher muesli was a standout! The infinity pool was refreshingly cool, and sitting by it with a cool drink was a great way to pass the afternoon after a busy morning. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. The rooms were of a generous size and were very clean. The spa treatments were great as well. It was lovely to book a late massage and then take a short stroll to our room where we were provided with a pot of lovely lemongrass and ginger tea. Our last night was spent at the special bbq dinner. A very memorable holiday!

I honestly cannot think of anything that I didn’t like about the property. It was very impressed.

Loved the 2 bedroom pool villa suite. Perfect for families with older children/teens. Bed was so comfortable. Rooms were spacious and we loved having our own private pool. Staff were amazing - customer service was perfect. I'm sorry I couldn't remember names of all the staff we interacted with, but they knew ours. Thanks also to Gali for the refreshing glasses of cold water after our final shopping outing when we came back to the hotel looking rather hot and bothered. Oh and we had great massages at the in-house spa. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, but on saying that, the food we had at the hotel restaurant was very good. We booked the transfer from the airport to the hotel as we had a late night flight arrival time. The little touches that were provided for our pick up blew us away (refreshing towels, water and a snack). Thanks again for a lovely stay.

The hotel shuttle bus never seemed to be available for travel into Ubud central, so don't rely on it. Tip: download the Grab app (passenger one, not the driver version) as it was cheap enough to use. Also there's currently a free EV shuttle service around Ubud with fixed stops - currently on trial Sep 23 to early 2024. Nearest stop from hotel is probably about 7 minute walk away. Download Smart shuttle at Ubud app to book. It would've been helpful for this information to be in the information book in the room as it was a little stressful the first time we tried to catch a taxi from the hotel into central Ubud.
