Hands down the most welcoming and heart warming hotel in Ubud. My husband and I stayed here for a few days as part of our travel in Indonesia and it set the bar very high for all other hotels. It was as though they welcomed us into their family home and looked after us very well. Service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. Eveyone greeted us everytime we came back "home". They are also knowledgeable about a lot of all the touristy and non touristy activities, which they took care of and planned. Food was also very good. Breakfast had a good selection and portions were generous. They also had afternoon snacks and tea. You have to try the jasmine green tea. I had no idea this is what real jasmin green tea tasted like. The tea was so good i managed to buy some off them as its only through their supplier. They have a menu of all the activities they can provide which was super helpful, all we had to do was put in a request and they planned and organised the rest. If you want to experience the wonderdul culture then this is the place for you, hospitality was exceptional. They have a shuttle bus thats super helpful that does does dropoff and pick up to local points. Location is also very ideal as you have many restaurants outside and the monkey forest is within 15 mins walk. To say the least, everywhere we went after coming here couldnt compare and we missed this hotel very much! We will be back! First, fantastic welcoming. We were amazed on the hospitality. Room was big, clean, all main amenties you need. The reception personal were always keen to help, organizing trips, local shuttle car, fast communication - via WhatApp, check out - shower room plus change room, also using the facilities of the property after check out. Great room service, good options to choose from the breakfast. Close by (same owner) Japanese style restaurant with discount as hotel guest, good breakfast and nice view . You have all around you ! From ....many many restaurants to ...money change, pharmacies, 24h open supermarket, massages, points of interest (Tanal Lot is ...1.5 hours away by car, money forest ...15 min, rice terasses ...1 hour)

I would say only 2 small points (one of them obviously cannot be fixed) : 1. The area is very convinent to travel around (Monkey forest, rice terrase, etc,etc) but also could be noisy - not from the rooms but outside pool or on the breakfast . Again, this is the benefits of being close to main restaurants, shops. 2. (this can be fixed/discussed) -is that every morning the hotel personal tried to be very organized, cleaning the front of the alley near pool in front of the rooms but quite noisy brushes/brooms and sometimes goggleing at 7 AM - so in 2 ocasions I was waked up by the noises. Definetely something which can be improved.

Hotel staff treated us like their family member. My son was sick during his stay and the hotel staff drove us to the nearest hospital and stayed with us for two hours while we are being medically examined. Last day we were almost scammed by a local driver with unfair taxi rate and they quickly arranged their driver to pick us up from the waterfall and drive us to canggu. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again next time we visit ubud. It will be our second home in ubud.

Excellent location. Walking distance to the monkey forest. Shuttle service was great and staff really lovely. We appreciated they didn’t make us check in after we arrived in the early hours of the morning so could get to sleep.

It’s a beautiful pool but we couldn’t get a sun lounger as there only about 8. There is space that they could put more.

Location. The hotel is in the hearth of Ubud and there are many cafes and restaurants within 5 min walk from the hotel. In addition, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the most attractions in Ubud. Breakfast. The breakfast is not a buffet, but it is healthy and the food is sufficient. The hotel offers complimentary tea and snacks in the afternoon, which we tasted and they were delicious. Room. The room and bathroom were specious and clean. Beds. The beds were very comfortable and were protected with net( removable) for mosquitos and bugs. Pool. The water in the pool was clean and warm. The hotel staff. The entire hotel staff was kind and helpful. Rasmini and Eka went above and beyond their duties responding to our queries, assisting or arranging access to activities.

Wi-Fi. WiFi was week in some areas, however the hotel staff helped us to resolve it. The price. The price was a bit higher than other hotels we reviewed, but it was worth it.

Perfect place to stays for 5 days in Ubud for us, family 2 adults and 8 years old, room is fully equipped with high standards, bed is comfortable and extra large , super clean and full amenities with good quality. Breakfast is fabulous, we added extra for floating breakfast on the pool and it was wonderful, the staffs are the main keys : Gun, Yuli , the Drivers , receptionist, and the restaurant staffs just amazing well trained and friendly and super helpful , they arrange for laundry services . Hotel provided pick up and dropped services from /to Ubud city center, otherwise Ubud center it’s accessible by walking as well, daily afternoon tea/coffe time. Daily bottles water supplies!! Our 8 years old son totally touched and will remember this trip and the your hospitality as memory. Thank you Sapodilla - we will returned again ‘n

Overall, I had an exceptional experience and I wanted to express my gratitude for the impeccable service and attention to detail that I received throughout my stay.

Firstly, I was delighted with the location of the hotel. Being so close to the city center made it incredibly convenient for exploring and accessing various attractions. Additionally, the fact that it was just a short 5-minute walk from the yoga barn and monkey forest was a huge bonus for me.

The hotel itself exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The quiet atmosphere allowed for a peaceful and relaxing stay, which was exactly what I was looking for. The room was spotless and well-maintained, and I appreciated the daily cleaning service. The inclusion of 5 bottles of water per day was a thoughtful touch.

One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. The variety of choices available was impressive, and the quality of the food was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the delicious and generously portioned meals. The flexibility to have breakfast in different locations, such as in the room, by the pool, or in the restaurant, was a fantastic option. I also appreciated the option to have it packed up for me to take with me for the day.

I must commend your staff for their exceptional hospitality. They were always friendly, attentive, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The turn down service each night was a lovely touch and added an extra level of comfort to my stay. It truly felt like nothing was too much trouble for them.

In conclusion, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding experience I had at your hotel. The combination of impeccable service, attention to detail, quiet and clean accommodations, and delicious breakfast made my stay truly memorable. Nice boutique hotel near ubud central and monkey forest. Plenty of restaurants, minimarts and spas nearby. Its quiet eventhough its located near a busy street. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Room is big with separate bathtub and shower area. Plenty of storage space as well. Nice swimming pool (small but long enough to do laps). They also provide shuttle service but I did not make use of this service. Breakfast is at the Japanese restaurant in front of the hotel but they are also able to deliver the breakfast to your room without additional fee. Ala carte breakfast but plenty of choices. Room service is from the Japanese restaurant as well. We get to enjoy their food from the comfort of our room. I also make use of their laundry service. Rp30k/1kg which is reasonable. Need around 24 hours (need to pass them the laundry before 9:30am and you will get your clothes back the next day around 10-11am).

Our room is on the first floor facing the swimming pool. When it rains, there is no shelter from the lobby to the room so you will need umbrella. Place is not wheelchair-friendly. No lift for 2nd floor rooms and some steps for 1st floor rooms. You also need to climb the stairs to go to the Japanese restaurant for breakfast. Please ask them to teach you on how to use the in-room safe. No instruction and its different from in-room safe in other hotels.

We booked 10 months in advance and got a fantastic price on their premier suite. We then (on less than one weeks notice) added our niece to our trip bringing the total number of us to 2 adults and 2 kids and they were so happy to accommodate. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made feel welcome welcome and special. Yuli is a delight and the team of ladies at the counter are first class. As well as the guys who constantly maintain the place and run people like us around in the complimentary shuttle bus. Pool and facilities are perfect for family or just a relax. Food is outstanding, especially the choco nana and dragon magic bowls! We will definitely be back.

This boutique hotel, nestled beyond the hustle and bustle of Ubud's busy streets is a 'sanctuary' providing a glimpse into Balinese culture through its design, daily rituals and the gentle grace of its people. Through our own negligence we succumbed to 'Bali Belly' however thanks to Rashmina, 'state of the art' in-room hospital care was arranged. I will return to Sapodilla in 2024 where attention to detail is exceptional. Spacious comfortable suites, complimentary shuttle bus, afternoon teas and fabulous staff made our stay memorable.

There were only two reflections that I have which relate to mindfulness about other guests in the hotel which might be of value. Two isolated yet significant incidents. 1) Loud voices at the poolside. (A 10- 12 year old boy was in loud conversation from the pool to his mother pool some 20 meters away, as if they were the only people holidaying there. 2) Personal laundry hanging in the hotel garden space near the pool was also distasteful and thoughtless behaviour.
