Having booked a deluxe superior room , we were not disappointed. The room was so well appointed and comfortable we simply dd not want to leave. The location was wonderful , looking out from our balcony terrace we could see the river and the portcullis gate of Trim Castle, stretching across the horizon to the Church grounds taking in the Church spire, and the Wellington monument . Getting up each morning and going out on the terrace to catch the fabulous views was another hidden treat we were not expecting. We dined in the Bailey for evening dinner, in Jules for breakfast which was wonderful and of course the lively and busy Barista Cafe for morning coffees and lunch on one of the days. Excellent all round experience and one could simply not visit Trim and Trim Castle without a visit to the Trim Castle Hotel .

Trim Town hall (in front of the Castle walls) where the tourist office is located is very poorly maintained and sticks out like a sore thumb as it is sitting between the Visitor Center and the Trim Castle Hotel. The dirty and dilapidated Town Hall spoils the viewing completely of what could be a top class scene. A Heritage building of such history as it was the old Market House in the 1800's, could be presented in a much more 'spruced up way', and presented in a Trifecta of history alongside with the Center and the Castle.

Lovely hotel situated across the road from Trim Castle and about 30 minutes by car from Dublin airport. Comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast. I use a CPAP machine and the closest plug I could use was by the desk (the two that power the bedside lamps use proprietary plugs that no known adapter will fit). I called reception and they brought me a couple of extension cords that did the job nicely. Safe, secure under-the-hotel parking. Even if it's winter, go to level 3 for the rooftop bar for photos....

I think the lack of a regular UK power socket closer to the bed was a bit of an oversight for a hotel that's clearly been kept up to date (i.e. updated recently) but that's minor and there's a workaround.

The location and the breakfast was top class. The room was lovely with a balcony and view of the castle

We arrived Friday and all was lovely with the room. We were going to a family wedding in a nearby location on the Saturday but when we woke Saturday morning the room was absolutely freezing there was no heating on as we were getting ready The same Sunday morning as we were preparing to leave This was the first weekend in November and it was really cold. . I did email the hotel to say this was the only thing that let our stay down. The response was that some quests prefer cooler rooms to sleep in at night and they make quests aware that the heating is automated and to check the radiators, we were not made aware of this. The email also said they provide heaters if quests are cold which would be useful information for anybody making a future booking.

Very nice room with a private terrace and a castle view. The staff were all lovely, from registration to the restaurants, gift shop and coffee shop. The reservations manager manager Linda C was very helpful when we had an issue with some noise one night. Overall I would have liked to stay another night if we weren't moving on to another city. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to order. We ate one night in the Bailey's Brasserie and the food was very good. Trim Castle is right across the street and has a very fine tour of the keep.

We didn't know the hotel hosted weddings or that the ballroom was just below our room. There was a wedding in Friday night that was very noisy and went very late. The reservations manager was very apologetic the next day and comped half the price of our room for that night. That was truly the only negative experience of our 2 night stay. Otherwise the hotel was excellent. Travelers staying on the weekend may want to check if a wedding is going on, and then choose their room accordingly.

We arrived early, and they allowed us to park in their underground parking garage. Otherwise, parking would have been a nightmare. From there we were able to visit Trim Castle, which was right across the street. The hotel is large with a couple of places to eat and a gift shop. There was a lobby seating area with a lit fireplace. Our room was large, clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and toiletries supplied. The food in Jules was delicious. We enjoyed being so close to the main attractions. We never had to use the car. Trim Castle Hotel was a great hotel for our adventures.

Our room was down a floor, so we did not have views of the castle or a balcony, which were shown on the website. That would have been nice. I'm sure the price of the room would have increased. The Jule was short-staffed, and the waiters were harried and sweaty. We waited a long time for our bill. In fact, the waiter grabbed our tip off of the table and left. We waited another half hour for the bill. Our table was a mess with dirty dishes and glasses, which were not removed throughout the whole meal. A bartender finally cleared our table. Then the waiter presented the bill. We were there way too long.

Friendly staff. Early check in because the room happened to be ready. Room was spacious, clean and quite. Comfy beds. Nice restaurant on property. Walking distance to Trim Castle. Breakfast was good, especially considering that it was off a menu and there were tour groups booked. Free parking under the hotel. Very short walking distance into the town where there are cafes, etc

Shortage of outlets at or near the nightstand for cpap. No problem with extension cord.

The hotel looks relatively new and is located directly across from Trim Castle, so the amazing views are just minutes away. Our room had a partial castle view from our balcony as well. Also, our room was large and very clean. Breakfast was included and was excellent (delicious crepe-like pancakes). Hotel parking was included – we parked in the underground garage which was conveniently accessible via the hotel lift. In addition to the castle, the hotel is walking distance to restaurants, pharmacy, and tourist info. All things considered, it was a great value!

Everything was Great! Nothing bad.

The rooms were well decorated and furnished and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Thomas in particular, from the breakfast restaurant, was lovely and all of the breakfast staff made such an effort. Cocktails in the restaurant were well made and food was to a good standard. The cafe is also a great day time option.

Lack of facilities at the hotel - there is access to the local leisure centre included, but facilities there are very poor. It would be nice to have a buffet style breakfast available, as the options are all very heavy and something lighter would be a good option. The town where the hotel is situated is quite run down in places - closed shops and damage.

We booked a short stay and I have to say it was brilliant. Location is lovely, right beside Trim Castle. nice little getaway spot. A few Restaurants nearby and coffee shops. Room was really big and comfortable. Perfect if you need a break from the city.

To be honest the stay was fantastic, my only concern was the connected rooms, if it's quiet you can hear the people in the next room. Cant really fault the hotel on that, just how the rooms are designed.
