I have visited this hotel a number of times whilst staying locally with family for drinks and food and have always had a good experience. The location was ideal for my recent visit as family are no longer living locally. The staff are a credit to the hotel and make for a super experience, friendly, helpful, professional and efficient. My room was warm and clean with a comfortable bed. The bus from Dublin city centre (111) arrives and departs right outside the hotel which offers an alternative method of transport when not driving.

My hotel room was dated, the furniture could do with an upgrade and the bathroom would benefit from a refit.

I asked for a quiet room and was given one at the rear of the building which was fine. I had a good night sleep and breakfast was tasty. All of the staff were very cheery and obliging, especially the guy (Theo?) on the check-in desk in the evening who helped with all my bags up to my room and back into the car the following morning. Hotel has its own parking which is handy.

The room service evening meal was okay, but the “mixed salads” accompanying it consisted mainly of coleslaw (which was nice), a few wilted leaves, and LOTS of red onion very thickly chopped which wasn’t good. I was ordering just before the kitchen closed though, so at least I got something to eat

The desk clerk was super friendly when we arrived. The room was clean and the bed was sort of comfy. There could have been better pillows. We ate at the restaurant and had fantastic food. We would go there again, given the opportunity.

I didn't like that they had no lift and we had to drag heavy luggage up flights of steps. The desk clerk did explain that given the age of the building, it wasn't possible to install one.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in receptionist so friendly and helpful. Rest of staff also outstanding food delicious and room so comfy. It's well worth a stay and the nicest staff you could hope for. They really are a credit to your hotel. I will most definitely be back in near future as I could not fault it and plus Guinness nicest I've had in Ireland. Thanks to receptionist and all staff couldn't have been any nicer.

This was in a lovely part of town, with free parking just next door. We walked to a pub right down the street in the evening. The building itself is beautiful, with architecture such that you felt like you were in a castle: stone walls, interior beams, stained glass and the likes. The rooms were very comfortable and our bed and linens were so soft. Shower was great, plenty of towels. Best of all were the staff. I can’t say enough about how friendly and accommodating they were. We feel so fortunate to have randomly booked this B&B!!

Honestly can’t say anything negative.

Excellent choice available both for breakfast and evening meals which we availed of on both days of our short stay, the service was first class by very professional and friendly staff, also the dining room very busy with guests and locals which is always a good yardstick of quality and standards. Location was excellent for exploring the surrounding countryside and its many attractions. This is an excellent family run business and it shows in the attention to detail and above all the staff

Unfortunately this building is not user friendly for people with mobility issues no lift, 48 steps to the 2nd floor, now saying this, it would not prevent us from staying here again, as the positives far out-weight the one negative

Fantastic stay, thanks to the brilliant staff team for their first class service. Mary, and the reception team, Robert and the bar team and the fabulous waiting team in the restaurant. A really genuine welcome, and sage advice and recommendations. We had a great holiday and were so pleased with the hotel, particularly the staff group.

This place is a little hidden gem. The staff are absolutely amazing, every single one we came into contact with were friendly and so helpful, but I have so say Mary on reception was brilliant and Joelle in the restaurant was fantastic. The food is delicious, the included breakfast is off the menu and not buffet style so everything lovely and freshly cooked and all the kids added requests easily accommodated! Dinner was delicious as well. Another major benefit was a family hotel room for 5....near impossible to find! We had a great stay and really handy to major local attractions.

Absolutely nothing

Honestly the hotel was just great in so many ways and here is why I would recommend you stay there also. The hotel was clean and tidy and a solid 3 star in its rating but what made it 5 star was the staff. Theo in the restaurant was an absolute gent and not only was the food exceptional nothing was too much trouble at all for him or the rest of the staff.

Nothing at all

It was nice to have a choice in breakfast options, not just an Irish breakfast. The staff was very accommodating. When I needed to eat breakfast earlier, it was arranged so.

The second morning they started with repairs on the roof (apparently). I understand this needs to happen and though I was already up, some warning on forehand would have been nice.
