We were staying in courtyard cottage. Surrounded by picturesque gardens. The room was super spacious, there even was a walk-in wardrobe. It was nice and warm. Bed was firm and pillow flat just the way i like it. The breakfast is in the main building and it was in a beautifully set room. The selection wasn't as broad as I'd seen in some other hotels but we didn't go hungry. We especially liked various cakes. There was daily cleaning, they made the beds, changed towels, took the bins out which was enough for our short 3-day stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Well, the cottage looked really tired and in need of tlc but let's just call it "charming" lol. Luckily we are not that picky lol. The water in the shower took aaaaaageees to warm up (had to run it for like 5 mins at least. What a waste of water) the toilet didn't flush that well and also took ages to fill up again. Soundproofing non existent, we could hear next door clearly. One of bedside table lamps didn't work. There is a road approx. 200 m that leads up to the hotel and goes uphill - might be an issue for some people arriving by foot (we like walking so we didn't mind too much)

It's a grand place that has been and is being restored to its former glory. Nice touch putting guests away from the main building especially when there was a function on.

Cleaning regime could have been better. There was a lot of dust in the room that obviously had not been touched for ages. Shower was old but functional. An old oil storage tank just outside the back window was not pleasing to the eye. It is being over taken by nature so maybe in a few years it wouldn't matter. It is a matter of some pride having worked in hospitality that your staff should be reasonably well dressed and groomed. I found several of the lad wearing white sports shoes and not black. If you are trying to raise standards, train and work with your staff.

The location is a 10 minute uphill walk from Leixlip town centre; if travelling by car there is plenty of parking outside the hotel (or in the courtyard for the courtyard rooms). It is a quiet setting in an location otherwise very busy as a Dublin commute area. A useful message was received prior to arrival detailing the opening hours of facilities etc. The buffet style Breakfast was plentiful with juice, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toaster, varied hot choice for a full Irish if desired as well as continental pastries/rolls. Staff friendly and helpful. There is a well stocked Bar and meals available a-la-carte or bar menu. Two nights in a Courtyard Room were without incident - the hotel does alert you to the fact that the courtyard rooms are not soundproofed (due to age of building), but as long as guests are considerate of others this is not a problem. Lovely gardens to walk around and a resident pony too! Hot water in the Courtyard Rooms does take time to flow"hot" but again the hotel alerts you to this. No problem with showers though in this respect.

Everything was acceptable, perhaps because time was taken to read and assimilate the hotels messaging and therefore no surprises.

There are lovely established gardens to walk around. Manor House rooms tastefully decorated and appointed. Within easy reach of Dublin in a relaxing setting with buses available with electronic arrivals boards at stops in Leixlip.

If hotel messages are heeded about services/timings there should be no surprises. No complaints.

Clean, comfortable and excellent value for B&B, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely surroundings and gardens to walk around. Very convenient for travelling into Dublin- we were at a convention at the RDS and it only took 35 minutes in to drive every day, even on Friday morning at 0815 although it did take longer getting back on Friday night ( we took the M50 south then in via Dundrum to avoid going through the city centre) Breakfast was excellent and included hot or cold selection. It was available from 0730 weekdays and 0800 weekends although they started setting it up quite late and it took so long on Sunday that we didn't have much to choose before we had to leave at 0820. The hotel is on the outskirts of Leixlip but it was a short and easy walk to the centre and there were plenty of pubs, coffee shops and restaurants (Da Vinci's was superb). The hotel was lovely but this time I chose to stay in a downstairs courtyard room and I preferred the rooms in the main hotel.

Major problem and disappointment was that there was no sound proofing between downstairs and upstairs courtyard rooms so lots of noise from people above, walking about, going to the toilet and getting up very early, we stayed in rooms 19 and 20). As it is an old building, sound proofing between the rooms may not be possible. Courtyard rooms could do with some TLC but they were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.. I would have liked a blackout blind close to the window as the curtain rail stood away from the window and let a lot of light in round the edges from the outside light at night and in the morning.

Honestly it was our favorite place in Ireland by far. I missed his name, but the receptionist was amazing-- carried our bags and even suggested a pint (which we thoroughly enjoyed) since it was our last night. For the price, the room was unparalleled. You'd have to spend three times that to get something similar in the States. My only regret is we didn't have more time in this lovely place. One night was not enough! Even the TV channels were the best we experienced. Close to the airport too (I filled up our rental car at the Applegreen nearby and made it back to the car return with no issue).

Nothing!

Wow what an amazing place, beautiful airy rooms with great facilities and magnificent gardens that you could spend hours exploring and relaxing in with little hidden tables and chairs around every corner. This place way exceeded our expectations for a last minute booking to stay over after Bloom it was an absolute GEM of a find. Evening food was expensive but was really lovely. Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly. Rooms are so comfortable, we have been telling everyone. Will definitely stay again if we get a deal like this and are heading to Dublin. So handy for the M50! Well done to you all including the lovely gardeners who were well able for our questions!

There was nothing to dislke about this wonderful venue and its gardens.

Beautiful building and standard of accommodation in main building was excellent. Lovely surroundings and views from room were beautiful too. Staff were very helpful and pleasant but appeared to be limited in the services they could provide. We did manage to get a sandwich but that appeared to be out of ordinary

Arriving not at weekend felt that the hotel was not prepared for guests looking for daytime services such as bar or snacks. Also weekend food meant that it was restaurant only and bar snacks were not available.

the location is alright, of course you better hire a car. This was our second time in the hotel this year. We love the hotel and the garden together with the hourse Gigi! The staff is friendly, however at the bar they need to try better on the coffe and cappucino, didnt get proper coffee and the prices are a bit high. The breakfast was ok, but everyday was same, and last two days we decide to skip as we got a bit tired of same food. we would come back! To give higher review of the hotel next time, needs to improve in room cleaning, breakfast, better service in the bar.

coffe, prices at the bar were high.

Price was great for a night and breakfast. Hotel dinner was very nice also. Staff were very friendly. The gardens were a nice touch. St Catherine's park was ~15min walk away which was very handy since we didn't have a car at the time. It was a 10min walk to town even though it felt secluded (in a good way)

We arrived around 2.50pm and rooms weren't ready yet. I understand check in was 3pm, but that's cutting it close lol. When we were getting dinner, the background music was playing some nice piano songs but i think they may have forgotten to login to their Spotify as it was playing Spotify ads every few minutes xD (this was more funny than something wrong)
