We wanted to spend one night outside of Dublin, and this was a perfect nearby destination. Ashbourne was advertised as a B & B, but it is more of a hotel, which was a pleasant surprise. Staff was always helpful and cheerful. We had a very nice dinner at the attached restaurant and bar, and the bartender was great fun. We even stayed for the live music.

I should not have been surprised there was no air conditioning in the room, but it was warm during our stay and the room was stuffy even with the window open. Our room was quiet, but I could hear the live music in the bar when I went down to the ground floor, so it may be a problem in some rooms. I would note for other travelers that it took several tries to get a taxi, so you might want to allow time to get to/from the airport - there is a regular bus as well.

Nice rooms. Easy check in. Good location, perfect when arriving late at airport and driving west the following morning. We arrived quite late for dinner but were still able to order literarily 1 minute before the kitchen closed.

The entrance to the car park is not easy to see in the dark (especially on a busy Saturday night)

Every member of staff from the cleaners, waiters, bar, receptionist, and chefs. We're lovely and friendly and helpful 😊. 10 out of 10 for each one of them. The food was outstanding. The rooms were lovely and clean. We have already told the family about it and they have put it on their list.

Right. It hadn't anything to do with the staff but with the people in the room opposite us. We were in room 307 and loved it. But I think the people opposite had too much to drink and ended up fighting at 5 am. So we didn't stay for breakfast on Sunday. The noise and shouting got a bit too much for me and I wanted to get out of there.. We didn't complain as it wasn't the hotel's fault.

A nice country hotel with good standard of accommodation and very easy access to Dublin with a bus stop right outside. Our rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast and other meals and the bar in the pub were good and generous, and all staff were very helpful and friendly. A good Irish family pub with all the atmosphere. Right in town with shops just a short walk away. Plenty of parking was available out back in the pub's large car park right outside our rooms.

Nothing not to like!

It's exactly as it says on the Tin, a traditional village hotel in Ashbourne that still has that old Irish country vibe, no complaints, the room did the job required of it... And with the Pub and restaurant area downstairs it really has everything you'd need for a night out. Loads of free car parking out back and I could see my vehicle. No noise in the room and I'm a very light sleeper. Clean room and a decent size for a 3 Star.

Nothing.

Great location, handy to emerald park and Dublin City centre Good selection of shops and restaurants nearby and free parking. Tesco across the road for snacks etc Beds were comfortable, I slept well. Lady on reception is nice and friendly.

Bathroom a bit dated, shower works well but it's tiny. Room was warm, I opened the window but still warm. A fan would be good for summer. For the price though it was fine

Based on some reviews, I had no great expectations but I was very pleasantly surprised and can only be complementary about everything I experienced. All the staff that I encountered - receptionists, dinner and breakfast waitresses were excellent, each with a lovely manner. The room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. The location could not be more central and the airport bus is only 20 meters away. The bar menu was fine and good value as was breakfast (extra charge). By Irish standards the cost was fair value.

Nothing at all apart from the tiny item of having a strainer in the sink plug hole.

Just back from a midweek stay here. Pleasantly surprised. Staff are helpful and very friendly. Room & bathroom was a bit dated but was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great and reasonably priced. Hotel is conveniently located to shops and local bars. Would definitely return again.

Very few taxis about if you want to travel. Had to download the Uber app to get about.

Ample free parking. Our room was on ground floor. Male staff member was really helpful.- he changed our room when we found the corner bath only had a hand shower and we needed a shower stall. We also needed an extension cord which he promptly organised.

The handbasin was not holding the water, which required the taps to continuously run for a shave and face wash.

We had only one night in the Dublin area because of a change in our flight schedule. We decided to spend 12 hours at the Ashbourne House Hotel and we were very glad we did. There was a short and cheap bus ride to and from the airport to Ashbourne, or you can use Uber for around 50 euros. The town of Ashbourne is quiet and clean and the hotel is very nice. The food in the restaurant and the service in the bar are both excellent. We recommend this hotel highly.
