I travelled to the Boyne valley to discover and learn about my past and opted to stay in the Conyngham Arms Hotel. This former coach house in Slane is a gem and is the perfect destination for those seeking a cozy and welcoming getaway. From the moment you step through the doors, you are enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. This historic hotel exudes old-world charm, with its original stone walls, while still offering all the modern comforts and amenities you could desire. One of the standout features of the Conyngham Arms is the exceptional dining experience. The hotel's restaurant offers a menu that is both innovative and delicious. You're sure to find something to suit your taste on the menu. The ingredients are always fresh and locally sourced, and the presentation is elegant and appealing. The rooms at the Conyngham Arms are equally impressive, offering the perfect combination of comfort and style. Each room is thoughtfully decorated and features plush bedding, high-quality linens, and all the necessary amenities to ensure a restful and relaxing stay. Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, you'll appreciate the attention to detail and the level of comfort the rooms provide. Overall, the Conyngham Arms Hotel in Slane is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a cozy, warm, and welcoming place to stay. With its old-world charm, excellent menu, and comfortable rooms, it's easy to see why this hotel has earned such a stellar reputation. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a business trip, the Conyngham Arms is sure to exceed your expectations.

Noisy extractor fan outside our bedroom over kitchen which was on all evening up to 1:30am making it very difficult to settle.

Breakfast was great and I could change from the set list. Our lass who served us was brilliant and remembered the second morning what I wanted. Dinner was really good and plenty of it. The staff were great. In fact all the staff seemed to enjoy helping us. There are three other pubs locally, but this is the only hotel.

The ensuite needed some TLC, which we mentioned and they were apparently aware of, but even so it functioned as needed. Being of the 'older' generation with some 'knee bending issues' my partner found she needed to descend the stairs slowly.

Wonderfully furnished room and friendly staff

Really not much to criticize - however our room was facing the main street which included a lot of noisy truck traffic - they offered another room but we liked the room we had except for the traffic noise. Also, no help with getting the TV channels to display, only Netflix. We wanted to see a bit of the last day of games in the Premier League and news. The other room they offered us had the same TV channel problem. Yet no one dealt with this. One young fellow, a server, was sent after an hour and half to help but he didn't have a clue.

The food for dinner was amazing. Excellent seafood and the service was great too.

My travelling partner is a vegetarian and there was no veggie breakfast option except pancakes. He ordered a full Irish breakfast without any of the meat. First of all they brought the plate with the meat then went away and we assumed just took the meat off the plate. Luckily my friend didn't mind as long as there was no meat. However I thought they could have given him extra portions of the non meat ingredients such as an extra hash brown for example. The plate they brought back was very sparse and he had to top up with fruit and toast to make up a substantial breakfast.

This hotel is a hidden gem in ireland , we had a fantastic stay for a relatives wedding up the road , I would Highley recommend conyngham arms , we had a beautiful room modernly decorated but still vintage it was absolutely beautiful and the food is top class quality. Staff are very friendly. Cannot wait to return. Price of the stay was very good considering how topclass the room was . Its nice to see a hotel not joining in to rip off ireland , especially for a young coupe like us that don't have it to just give away like that

The stairs are a bit narrow, nothing the hotel can do as it is part of the structure

Great family room for two parents and two young adult children (we had one double and two single beds). Excellent breakfast.

Someone emptied all of the glass recycling from the restaurant and bar into the outside bin at 3 AM, the noise of which jolted me awake. It was very inconsiderate of them; it was a chore that should have been done during the day and not during the middle of the night under windows of sleeping guests.

Clean and comfortable. This is our third stay at this quaint hotel , we love the comfortable surroundings and charming decor . The food is excellent for dinner , lunch and breakfast we haven't tried the afternoon tea yet but it looks yummy . The location is perfectly placed to visit Newgrange, Tara and Slane hill . Navan is just down the road with any and every conceivable shop you might want. The ledwidge museum is just up the road and a must visit . So much to see and do in all the surrounding areas . Will be back soon .

The breakfast was as good as I've ever experienced anywhere. Quality and presentation top notch. Was given an upgrade to stay at the recently renovated Boyne House. An early 19th century manor set on quiet grounds across from the main hotel. Very accommodating and given a change of room without fuss for the reasons below

The bedroom in the basement level where my partner and I stayed the first night was noisy. The floorboards from the upstairs room were creaky and loud and this made a solid night's sleep impossible. Also the room was a little cold so would suggest some thermostats to be added to the rooms. Also there is a green emergency light snack bang overhead in room 5 which again gives off the light of a full moon lit night. This will bother a lot of people.

The rooms were really nice.. they located on the main street so you do get some street noise but it didn't disrupt our sleep at all and it was kind of nice hearing the cars in the rain... The bed was super comfortable super cozy the room was charming The staff was amazing...

The reservationist and everybody we encountered were really really super.. The only minor exception to that was a young man who we were ordering drinks from in the restaurant seemed a bit annoyed in general... There was this slight discrepancy in the bill and we had figured out what the problem was and when I went to explain it to him, although he hadn't solved the problem, he was a little dismissive.

Staff were lovely, extremely helpful and friendly. I wasn't feeling too well and my mobility is not great so the receptionist very kindly carried my bag up to my room for me, as there is no lift. This was the only unfortunate thing, but I understand that as it is a listed building they cannot install a lift, however the stairs are very steep.

It is worth knowing ahead of time that all the bedrooms are upstairs with no lift, and the stairway is very steep. There was also an extra step at the doorway to my room.
