Great location, lovely helpful staff, my room was in a quiet location. The bed was comfortable with a variety of pillows (all with pillow protectors, which I am fussy about.) The housekeeping staff were exemplary: nothing was too much trouble (so often they don’t get the credit they deserve!) The front desk staff also get a big tick for printing off my boarding pass which turned out to be tricky…no mentioning of airline names….all these little things add up to a memorable stay in my books! 😇

Nothing.

The location was perfect. The breakfast was mediocre. The rooms were super large and comfortable for a triple in Europe.

Upon arriving from the US at 6am with an early entry request, the staff informed us after two hours are cramming on a settee in the reception area that there was a lounge on the first floor. The lounge was huge with many large sofas ti relax on. They should have told us immediately upon arrival so we could have caught a few winks before our room was ready at 11. This would have made such a huge impact on our arrival.

Wonderful location walking distance to everything. We loved the beds and especially the bathroom was super nice. We are at nearby restaurants, a short walk of about two mins to latin quarter and the docks were about 12 mins. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The park is right outside with a good coffee shop on the corner .

The security wasn't great if that is something that bothers you. I lost a key and they just gave it to me without confirmation or ID. The elevator was old and slow so we mostly used the stairs. The halls and lobby were dated and worn looking.

The reception staff was very helpful and accommodating to my needs. The housekeeping staff was also excellent as they prepared my room quickly for my early check-in, and also provided a bag of fresh towels/toiletries when I had the “do not disturb” sign on my door. The hotel was a great value for the price paid and was in a terrific location, conveniently located to all the hot spots, tour bus stops, and convenience stores.

The walls were very thin and I could hear everything in the hallway from inside the room. Additionally, I believe I could hear the music from downstairs (or somewhere below) even during the late hours when I was trying to sleep. My air conditioning unit was broken and didn’t work.

The location of the hotel for travelers using public transport is a plus. about 6 minutes walk from the bus/train station, in the middle of Galway City just across Eyre Square. The room was comfortable and reasonably priced during my stay. Booked for 1 but could have accommodated 3. Coffee, Refreshments are available. Air conditioning was a plus (went there in the summer). THeres iron and iron board in the room. My stay was work-related, but would have enjoyed the room as a tourist.

A mini fridge would be great. There is no additional lock from inside the room.

Location was super ideal, room and bathroom was spacious, we were hanging around for a few hours waiting for the room to be ready and when we walked past the hotel one of the receptionists ran out to the street to let us know our room was ready early. He was exceptionally helpful, his name started with an E but I’m not sure what it was. Emanuello perhaps. The friendliness of the staff made it all the better. The room was clean and comfortable, we were very happy with it.

It’s a little noisy, the walls are quite thin and you can hear the everyone coming and going and their conversations. The floors are also pretty squeaky.

Breakfast was amazing. Fantastic choice for €14 French toast with walnuts and maple syrup or pancakes with fruit and syrup or full English breakfast. The portions were huge. My husband particularly liked the coffee. We found this accommodation to be very central. . It was great to have a full sized ironing board and iron in the wardrobe. View on to Eyre Square . Fantastic accommodation in Fantastic location especially for train and bus stations

We found this accommodation met all our requirements

Very happy with my stay at the Imperial. It is centrally located which means that there is not nearby parking but a short walk away, nothing too strenuous. Hotel is a little old fashioned and probably in need of refurbishment but good value for a stay in Galway city. Great for sightseeing or other events around Galway like Christmas markets. Nearby the train station and local bus lines, so good accessibility. Great cafes, restaurants and pubs nearby for food and drinks. Would stay again for a good price.

Didn't try the breakfast here, but it is advertised as no breakfast option so didn't know it was available. Went to a nearby cafe instead and it was fabulous. Although having to walk a bit to parking meant more time needed, it's understandable due to the location on Eyre Square. The reception had run out of parking discounts so told me to say it to security guard at Hynes, but there was no one around so I didn't get the rate of 8euro for 24 hours. But I was there just over 12 hours so paid 7euro I think, which wasn't bad.

We loved the fact that it's exactly In city centre at the markets. Rooms were big and very clean, nothing to complain about. Cleaning ladies very nice 😊 bathroom looked new and well made. I loved the size of the room and the fact that the TV was smart and had al the apps on, a big plus!

We didn't like the fact that we had to call 3 times the reception about the heat into the room. For us it was very cold and for one hour to a big room it made no difference. They were nice enough to let us call them when we need the heating .. if we ever back in Galway, yes we will come back... but during the winter...I don't know... otherwise, Very nice and chill hotel. ❤️

Room was lovely and spacious, air conditioning & heating could be adjusted with no problem … very easy operated. Food was really tasty, bar was very comfortable and hotel is right on Eyre Square, shop til you drop, loads of every kind of shop and also the Christmas markets were exceptional … bar life was brilliant and very safe, didn’t see any anti social behaviour … our stay of two days was extremely enjoyable xx

There is nothing I didn’t like, this is a lovely, friendly and enjoyable hotel to stay in, staff are very friendly and go well beyond their duties to make guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay xx
