Location was absolutely the best, right at the beginning of Quay St. the hotel has been redone, and it is modern and well appointed. The glass windows are sound-proof. Excellent blow dryer. They provide fans, since apparently there is no a/c. Fair amount of electrical outlets. Good and comfortable bathroom with good water pressure.

Location is great, but Quay St is THE party street, so it is very noisy (the front rooms) til wee hours of the morning, and then at 6am the clatter of bottles being picked up by the garbage trucks and kegs being replaced is VERY annoying. The sound-proof windows keep most of the noise out, but then the room gets stuffy. The towels need to be upgraded.

Staff was amazing! So friendly and accommodating! They made you feel welcomed and appreciated. The room totally matched our expectations. The location was phenomenal! Right on the main pedestrian street!

Could use more fans. We were there during a heatwave. Opening the windows didn’t help for 2 reasons: 1) There was no breeze so just still, hot air 2) our window was on the first floor overlooking the pedestrian street so it was very loud until the bars closed and then in the morning when the delivery truck came thru.

Very central location, ideal for exploring Galway City. Pubs, restaurants etc right outside the door. Parking was discounted at a near by car park. We stayed in the middle of a heatwave and whilst there is no A/C in the rooms, there were two fans supplied in the room which were badly needed.I don’t think we could have stayed if there were no fans. Room overlooked Quay street but we heard no noise from the street. Room and bathroom were spotless. Would stay here again based on location.

Price was expensive for one night with no breakfast. Granted it was a Saturday night in the middle of the summer but I thought €360 for a triple was expensive.

The location in the Latin Quarter is excellent and just a few feet from the car park, which was handy. Staff was very nice at check-in. Room was great. There is no AC, but the fans kept it plenty comfortable. The windows are all double, to help with the noise from the street below. The bar on the first floor was pretty rowdy, but we could barely hear it in our room and it stopped immediately at 11pm.

Our only real complaint was that the breakfast started WAY too late (10am).

Lovely room, clean and well decorated. We had a twin room, double/king bed great size along with a single bed. Room extras were good with TV, alexa and netflix.

Can't comment on much. The music from downstairs is loud however we were told of that and due to the nature of our stay we had no issue with this. The music cut out at the exact time we were told it would. Perhaps they have rooms towards the back of the building I'm not sure so maybe if you are there for a quiet peaceful night then request a room that is not on the street! Overall however this would not out me off visiting again.

Highly recommend staying at the Residence Hotel! The location is perfect, the room was big with a king bed and a bath. The food at the downstairs pub was fantastic. great music at night. Super clean. Lovely staff!

You can hear a bit of music at night during the week but earplugs made that ok! Weekends are louder but it wasnt an issue for us as we stayed up late as well. :)

Staff were excellent: front desk brilliant, bar and restaurant very good, very attentive, thorough, happy! Location can not be beat. Breakfast, the full Irish was excellent!!! Great high quality ingredients executed very well - sausages, black and white pudding were all excellent. The rashers were on a different level. Coffee also very good.

Dinner was awful. Burger was ground very finely, tasted like it was frozen, very salty, no care taken. Steak sandwich was edible, steak was good but everything else was slop from a Bain Marie. Ciabatta was not toasted, fried onions were goop, mushrooms were disgusting. Chips, French fries were very good. Dessert was appalling, Churros which we were looking forward to were on the menu but Not available. The skillet cookie was terrible. The brownie was out of a packet. What a complete joke!

Fabulous location. We had a car which we were able to park at the parking building only steps away from the hotel. Also very close to great pubs with live music

Was quite difficult to find as Quay Street is a pedestrian only street for certain hours of the day.

The Hotel room was very warm, there was a fan in the wardrobe but didn’t help much however other than that the Hotel itself was clean, location couldn’t be better and staff were friendly.

Bed and pillows were great! Plenty of lighting.

The Galway Races were on so it was VERY noisy at night. Closing the window helped with the noise, but the room got way too stuffy and warm. There was a fan, but it could only do so much. The shower was impossible to work and the giant tub was impractical for a short person like me. No face cloths! And towels were rough and poor quality.
