Receptionist was really nice, pleasure to interact with. Room was really clean, beds were very comfortable and really nicely made up. Recommend the bar food very tasty. Pool and lounging area very nice, clean and a good size. Cooked breakfast was delicious, continental selection ok but pastries were not great.

Staff in bar and afternoon tea area, not really paying attention to the customers. Forgot about our order twice in the bar, had to chase them twice to pay, and similiar happened again the next day in the afternoon tea area. They were apologetic but strange it happened with different staff members.

The friendly atmosphere and relaxed and family feel of the hotel is what will bring us back. The kids loved the outdoor area and we were able to relax knowing they were safe and enjoying their play in the garden while we had refreshments in the evening. The pool area was great although not a lot I could do with the baby in it as it was deep but she still enjoyed swimming in my arms. Sauna was lovely. We didn't bring our own dog but it was lovely to see the other little pooches walking about. Room was spotless and I come from luxury hotel background so I know a clean bedroom when I see one! So good work to the housekeeping team! This wasn't our first time at castle troy and it won't be our last, especially great for families but we wouldn't hesitate coming as a couple too.

Not a huge deal but when I approached the bar with my two children to ask for two cokes I wasn't seen to for quite a while although the area wasn't that busy. Two staff were behind the bar, doing what looked to be making a drink and wiping down a counter but nobody acknowledged us. My daughter asked for the loo so we just walked away. But once we came back we were seen to right away by the barman. Not a big deal but still would have been nice to be acknowledged first time we entered.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Castleroy Park Hotel in Ireland. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the sauna, pool, and laundry facilities. The hotel is conveniently located near attractions and activities, so we were able to easily explore the local area. In addition, the hotel is spotlessly clean and well-maintained, providing us with a truly luxurious experience. We look forward to returning to Castleroy Park Hotel in the near future and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in Ireland.

We truly enjoyed the comfort and the food. We appreciate Kevin, the concierge. He was the smile amongst the frowns. The desk clerks were also hospitable. The night staff in the bar were rather stand-offish and sat us in a corner. They proceeded to forget we were there. Again, Kevin came to our aid as he happened to do a walk-through and noticed us. We were then attended to and ate an exceptional meal.

the staff are so helpful and so accommodating and letting dog to stay is amazing i wish all the hotels accommodate small dogs to stay !!! food are delicious!! duvet is a bit heavy for this kind of weather but still 4 star for my reviews!!

they should have a choice of lighter duvet !!

clean comfortable friendly staff good food nothing was an issue I as for

my room was a little dated but I was doing bodybuilding competition so was happy to not have something brand new with clean white everything that tan might destroy. was perfect for me but could be deemed as dated on a regular visit. for second year running there was a wedding the same night we stayed. music was very loud through the whole hotel till 2am. some sound proofing would be great

The Castletroy hotel is in a good location. It is a homely and friendly place. The staff are efficient and friendly. The decor in the corridors could do with a sprue up. Out room looked out on to the courtyard which was nice. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise. Everywhere was clean. There is a good sized pool and gym. The changing rooms could also do with a bit of a spruce up too.

The beds are quite small - our deluxe room had a double and a single, where one king would have been much more comfortable. The hotel is a little dated and could use a lick of paint (our room had lots of marks and even what looked like the remnants of sweets on the wall). None of this would be worth commenting on if we hadn’t paid quite so much!

Friendly helpful staff, fantastic food. Lovely atmosphere. function room was excellent and the Master of Ceremonies was exceptional with very well trained staff.

My only comment was we were asked to stop singing in the area where the piano was one evening. We weren't loud and couldn't be heard at the bar area close by. We only sang non political ballads /songs, eg. Song for Ireland etc and Simon and Garfunkel type music. Dispointed as we had one guitar, very tame !! We had also asked permission beforehand and told it was fine.

Excellent service from checkin to checkout, very charming, comfortable hotel. Lovely dinner (with a wonderful guitarist serenading us!!). Easy to get to and from Shannon Airport. Loved going to this hotel and this town, a little off the beaten track, but well worth visiting if you want to see the real Ireland-can't wait to return!!
