We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shannon Springs, it was amazing value for money and very easy to access Limerick and other surrounding areas. The staff were amazing, so friendly and they really couldn’t do enough. The food at the Old Lodge was also really lovely and had great vegan options. The rooms were very clean and super comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was fabulous for my grandmother who was travelling with me but could have just had a few more vegan options for me. Even just a vegan butter/spread or some olive oil for toast and maybe more options in the cooked food like veggie sausages for example. Having said that, they were accommodating!

The staff at Shannon Springs were excellent. Everyone, from check in to the bar & restaurant, were very friendly & helpful. This was our 4th night in Ireland my wife & I were flying out from Shannon the next day, so great location. 8 minutes to hotel & easy to find. Our room was clean. Room had a mini fridge, which was nice to have. Bar & restaurant on site was excellent.

Our only complaint was that our room was booked at least 2 months in advance & we were disappointed to discover our room was on the first floor with a dumpster right outside of 1 window, blocking view - if there was any. And the other window had a large wooden fence about 2 feet from window, blocking mechanical equipment for the hotel - so no view here either. We wondered if this room was given to us because we booked through “Booking.com”??? We were only there for 1 night & to get sleep, so didn’t complain.

The room was extremely comfortable and clean with everything that you would need for a stay. We had a slight issue with the sockets in the room tripping but this was sorted out quickly, but then they tripped again but again was sorted out. This is the only reason that I gave a rating of 9/10. Breakfast was exceptional! The service, quality of food and staff were brilliant. Every member of staff that we interacted with at this hotel were fantastic, helpful, cheerful and really pleasant to deal with - 10/10 for the staff

The only issue was the electric sockets tripping. I think this was an ongoing issue that the Hotel were aware of and it just needs to be permanently fixed.

The receptionist were very nice. Each and everyone of them done their very best to make you feel welcome.

I didn't like having to sit on high chairs to have a drink while there were plenty of lower chairs. I asked many times to change to lower chairs but was giving many excuses of how that wasn't possible until eventually we were giving permission to change Seats. When we changed seats it looked like the tables were been set up for breakfast and I assume this was the reason they didn't want to let us change seats. As an older person I feel we should have been offered lower chairs as there were plenty available.

wonderful clean hotel, very nice and smiling staff. clean rooms, bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion (a great convenience because you don't have to take it with you) comfortable beds. we got exactly what we asked for.

the only downside for us was the limited choice of the breakfast menu (not everyone likes an Irish breakfast) lack of fresh vegetables and other meals, missing products were not replenished on a regular basis.

Staff could not have been more helpful, from check in to check out the staff were friendly, extremely helpful and very accommodating. Room was well proportioned, clean and spacious. Food was great.

Some of the supplementary lights in the room took a little time to figure out on/off switching! The bed took a little getting used to, a bit firmer than preferred, but that is down to minor personal choices.

One jarring incident. The young barman was rude. He lacks interpersonal skills. As a guest staying at the hotel, I expected more respectful treatment. Having had lunch. Having been asked my room number by other staff, as I proceeded to return to my room, he silently beckoned me to another door. He seemed incapable of speech to explain why he treated me with such disdain. At this point, not wishing to create a scene, I ignored him and carried on to my room. He needs to be trained in communication skills.

It’s a great location for travelling to all the local attractions. The food every night was amazing they have a fab chef and the staff in the bar , restaurant and breakfast area are so professional and friendly you are never left unattended. We traveled with our children and one is autistic and the staff gave us the same table for breakfast and dinner each day no hassle mad a big difference to our day . Can’t recommend it enough.

Clean, modern and fantastic bar / restaurant.

Breakfast doesn't match the quality shown everywhere else. An automatic coffee machine that puts out small, mediocre coffees was disappointing instead of just getting a pot of coffee. If you want tea you've to ask for a pot of hot water which no one tells you when you enter. Hollandaise sauce tasted of nothing as well. The place is brilliant and if the breakfast was good, it would be unbeatable.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. From reception to the waitressing staff and barmen each and everyone was fantastic. Joan especially looked after us at breakfast each morning and it was lovely to have such friendly service after waiting so long for a trip away! Excellent hotel and location and staff were faultless, 5 stars all round we will definitely return!

Only complaint would be the bed and pillows were a little too firm but this is probably more personal preference than anything else.
