Amazing view from the property, lovely garden, and short walk to the Old City. A very peaceful place with real character.

The booking.com site describes the guesthouse as having a restaurant. In practice, there was a bar which opens occasionally, so I had to go out to eat in the evenings which was not ideal. Having a small fridge in the room would help offset this problem.

Normally very peaceful with one of the best views in Jerusalem especially on the morning of the marathon which is what disrupted the stillness. Small enough to intereact with other guests and staff if you choose or nice areas to sit and chill outside. Bonus of being near buses and many green spaces.

A beautiful 1920s building but no elevator so if you have a mobility problem this may not be for you.

The location had a great view, the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. The rooms were comfortable, if not luxurious.

The location was a bit further from the Jaffa Gate than I thought looking at a map. One needs to walk down and then up again, so it's a bit of a hike.

The room was clean, very comfortable, all done to a high standard. The terrace on the 2nd floor was excellent, and made all the difference. The building of the hotel is absolutely outstanding, and the furnishing is all done tastefully and sensitively to the age and character of the hotel. The church itself is also lovely. The whole place is beautifully maintained. The location is great. The views from the terrace terrific. And it is walking distance to the Old City, to the center of town, and to other neighborhoods (German Colony etc)

These are really small quibbles: At breakfast there were many unknown dishes (unknown to me, and to other guests). Perhaps some labels next to them would encourage more guests to take. The dishes had clearly been home-made. And I wish there were more Scots around, maybe on the staff, which would contribute to its charm and authenticity.

Super location, parking 🅿️, very pleasant - staff as well as the establishment. Very nice breakfast buffet.

No elevator, difficult for handicapped, though there is a room accessible if needed. Room was smaller than expected according to pictures on the internet.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing area. Comfy and great breakfast

The staff could have taken the extra mile to help when we wanted to stay longer and when we left an item in the room

The strenght of this hotel for us was the combination of proximity to old town, price not exhorbitant and silent. The room was indeed quiet enough for us to sleep (and one of us is a light sleeper). It was relatively small, though. Bathroom was clean and decent, with a very nice shower. The breakfast was ok, more "western" food oriented with a touch of local cuisine. It was a solid 15 min walk with some uphill to Zion gate, but still doable. One interesting thing is that the whole complex used to be a Scotish monastery, which was partially converted into a hotel. The setup is quite unique.

One thing we didn't like is that taxis had a hard time getting to the hotel entrance. It's located at the end of a long driveway with a gate at the entrance, which made some taxi drivers not to be able to find it. It's also an expensive hotel for what's offered, but maybe that's just how Jerusalem is.

The second leg of our tour was at St Andrews Guesthouse, in a quiet location but with the most spectacular views of The Old City on the communal terrace and easy transport links. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re not a religious person the atmosphere feels a bit alien, but we felt super safe, were in awe and appreciative of the origin of the guesthouse. The staff made us feel super comfortable and were helpful when settling us in. The bathroom was clean and the bedroom was spacious - overall, a lovely gem in Jerusalem!

The bed was quite uncomfortable and the sheets weren’t completely clean. The rooms aren’t soundproof but that’s due to how old the building is. There are also no elevators so expect to carry your suitcase up some stairs!

Lovely setting with beautiful views of the city from the balcony and patio. Comfortable bed, easy parking on site, great breakfast and very friendly and helpful gentleman in reception. An oasis away from the crowds of the old city, but still within easy walking distance of it.

Nothing -- everything was perfect

Wonderful hotel!!! Everything was perfect - great, varied breakfast. The attitude of the staff, the atmosphere, the courtyard of the hotel, the cleanliness of the room is perfect .... We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights - everything was very calm, friendly and quiet. Large enough, clean room, towels changed every day, excellent location of the hotel. Amazing view. Very close to the Old Town, next to a beautiful park. We will definitely return to this hotel again. Many thanks to all the hotel staff for their hospitality.

We liked everything👍👍👍👍👍
