The location was amazing! Loved going to the olive bushes and the pond with colourful fishes and turtles across the road. The staff were most helpful and brought the most delicious cookies to the room in the afternoon. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the buffet lunch was great! Everything we ate there was great. The room was spacious and comfortable. I recommend this place!

The Hotel is located in a quiet area of San Isidro, but you can reach shops and restaurants with a short walk. Staff at reception, at the bar, restaurant and also cleaning staff is very friendly and always try to help you with your request. Fresh fruit every day at breakfast was awesome! Bathrooms are equipped with powerful hairdryer (important for people with long hair and during the cooler months) and the shower also has a good jet of water.

while rooms have a good size, they need some refurbishment. The flooring might need some maintenance or renewal. Compared to international standards, the cold breakfast options lack some variety (cereals).

The hotel delivered everything that can be expected reasonably from this type of hotels and more. To celebrate the end of the vacation we booked the executive suite with jacuzzi ... and we got a sauna on top in a beautiful bathroom (although a bit dated). The staff is super friendly, there is a very accessible underground parking and excellent breakfast (not as big as in the very big chains but more than enough to enjoy)

We especially liked: Hotel Security, Room sizes (we had a Suite, well worth the extra cost). Location ideal. Staff were always ready to help. Food, Restaurant and bar service were all very good.

Fantastic location and beautiful bedroom with very comfy bed. Beautiful view of the El Olivar Park. Breakfast is very good.

The lady at the reception said that the room that was confirmed by booking was only a "possibility" and tried to give us a worse room. We had to show her the actual confirmation per Email. The room facilities include a coffee and tea machine but, when we asked for an extra tea bag of chamomile they wanted to charge us. The problem is not the price but it is not nice.

The room was a good size, view of park and in a safe and central location. Fantastic breakfast and a chilled time relaxing by the pool. They were also very kind allowing a late check out when we had an evening flight.

Extra charge for having a guest visit, if you book a room just say there’s 2 people on the booking as it costs less than the daily rate of $50 plus taxes

Sonesta Hotel El Olivar is the only place we would consider staying at in Lima. The location, the staff, the ambience, and the amazing breakfasts are just some of the reasons. I have been traveling to Lima for the past seven years and we alway look forward to our return to this fine hotel and the lovely Olive Grove surrounding it. Again, the staff is first class, and they usually remember my name and always try to do anything to make our stay memorable. Thank you Sonesta!

Great service (a lot of nice little details like a surprise chocolate delivery to the room), relatively well equipped gym, stable wifi, decent breakfast, surprisingly good and affordable room service.
