Amazing location, very cute room with a comfy mattress. The restaurant food was really tasty, you should definitely eat there at least once ! The property itself is really well kept and worth the price. The breakfast was very good too. We got coffee, croissants, bread, boiled egg, ham and cheese, cereal, fruit, and fruit juice. Very reasonable check-in/check-out times The staff were helpful when we asked for information about what to do in the area and speak English fluently.

The Spa is quite expensive (40 euros for 1h30) but well worth it for the experience and the views.

Unique older property atop Brunate overlooking Lake Como. Great views. Nice European style breakfast.

Driving to the property was a challenge up a long series of very small roads with multiple serpentine curves. Make sure that you contact the hotel to reserve a parking spot (€10/day). From the property, must take a funicular down to Como. Unique experience but adds travel time to/from Como. Buy round trip tickets up top to avoid sometimes long lines when returning from Como. No A/C and we had attic room. First night, nice cross breeze. Second nice not so much and also had problems with bugs since there were no screens on windows.

The view was exceptional. Our room was so clean and cozy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff was so accommodating and friendly.

The only bad side was that you needed either a rental car or the cable car to get to the hotel on top of the mountain. Make sure you plan ahead if you are taking the cable car because the waits can be over an hour to get up and down during the busiest times. We didn’t have a car so the wait was often long. This is in no way an issue with the hotel. We loved everything about the hotel.

Amazing view and chick room, old fashion and stylish. Very good food.

Black mold in shower tile joints should be cleaned, otherwise the room felt clean. The room was small but cosy, although a bit unpractically furnished when you are a couple with one bag each. Food was good but the service was lacking, both at the dinner and breakfast. Waiters are nice and friendly but a bit too slow and not recognising if something is missing. At the dinner we got the wine after we were served the food, and at the breakfast we had to wait too long for the bread, and then again for the ham and cheese. The breakfast was some sort of made-to-order, and it is a good concept but we felt it took too long. Overall we liked our stay anyway. (Also, the bed is short, probably a problem for taller people!)

An amazing little hotel in and amazing location. The views were exceptional and photo's do not do it justice. The rooms were clean spacious and felt very authentic Italian B&B. Food was exceptional, breakfast and Dinner. Wide selection of good wines, staff were always friendly an hugely accommodating. We had a balcony room with a lake view and i cannot express the views that we woke up to every morning.

Amazing location just off the funicular from Como, a beautiful art deco villa with views down to the lake, an amazing dining room. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfasts good, dinners memorable. Attic rooms very spacious, with good beds and showers. Lovely to have Brunate to yourselves in the early morning and late evening, walk up to the Faro Volta for the views of the lake and mountains is essential.

Final touch would be a bar area with seating as well as the restaurant - although you can sit outside on the terrace!

The hotel is sited spectacularly high above Como but only a 30-second stroll from the Fenicular railway that takes you directly into the city centre. The restaurant and terrace overlook the magnificent view. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was characterful with a modern bathroom, a good combination! The food at breakfast and at dinner (worth booking) was superb. Considering we booked this last minute because another hotel cancelled I feel like we came up trumps!

The only issue was the lack of air-conditioning in the room. I imagine there are a number of reasons for this (environmental, the age and nature of the building) but it is worth being aware of as it was difficult to ventilate the room at night – the shutters were solid (not louvred) so one could not close them and have air movement, the alternative was being woken by the sun rather earlier than desired. It is not as hot high up above Como as it is down by the lake but even at the start of September it is warm through the night.

Our stay at Bellavista was wonderful thanks to the welcoming and super-helpful staff, the healthy and yummy breakfast and the stunning view of the entire lake Como - the sunset is spectacular!! Love the Liberty style of the hotel and its unique and relaxed atmosphere. My 3 sons shared the attic room - great space, charming and gorgeous views. My twin bedroom was a little bit small but also very charming, with gorgeous views and super-clean!! I was a little bit concerned when I found out that there was no air conditioning, but I realised it was not needed at night. We all enjoyed the food at the restaurant. Highly recommend it! Grazie e a presto!!

This hotel was wonderful. It is located right next to the funicular for easy access into Como. It hotel itself and its rooms were beautifully restored and the view was incredible. The restaurant was very good and breakfast each morning was a great addition. The staff was very nice and gave great recommendations for other restaurants to try in town. We hope to visit again!

I have no complaints for this hotel!

The hotel has one of the best, if not the best, views in the whole of the Lake Como region. Overlooking the town of Como and the Alps in the distance, it truly is a splendor to wake up in this location and also enjoy breakfast or a meal overlooking this picturesque place. The town of Brunate is also quiet and away from the far livelier Como city and if you still want to enjoy the lake, the Funicular is right by the hotel and also an exciting thing to do. As for the hotel itself, it is very rustic with an old-world charming, though is perhaps light on amenities, though the relaxation room is enjoyable. The bed of the small - but cozy - room was a little creaky, the shower didn't go hot enough and some outside noise in the passageway creep through the front door, but the room was comfortable enough, allowed for great rest and when you have such an amazing view, these things matter little. PLus the staff goes out oof their way to ensure you have a great stay. The provided breakfast is simple, but filling enough, but you should definitely ook a lunch or dinner at the restaurant because the food is exceptional - plus you get to take in more of that exceptional view. It's a Hotel that truly lives up to the name "Bella Vista"

It seems wrong to look for faults in what is a place centered wholly around its stunning view, but there were some things the hotel could work on: The shower wasn't hot enough. The front door let in a little too much noise and the bed was creaky. Breakfast is very plain on options.
