The property itself was very good. The only drawback was the service was not as good as it easily could have been. Here are 3 examples.Check in was at the hotel reception which was a short walk (3-4mins) from my accommodation. Reception failed to point out the wifi password. If he had I would have taken a photo. There was no wifi information in the room so this necessitated a walk back to the hotel. Secondly Reception indicated there was a phone in the room that I could use to call reception if I needed to. Unfortunately there is nothing on the phone to advise what button should be used to call reception. I tried every button and there was no answer. Thirdly I asked how to turn the heat on the drying racks. Reception advised it came on automatically at either 6:30 or 7:30. I was later advised that information was incorrect. So I left in the morning with wet socks. I should also note that my next night’s accommodation had fully functioning drying racks. I don’t understand the point of having drying racks if you can’t turn on the heat.

I like the design and the bed so so comfortable. Also, the receptionist Ellen even packed a breakfast for me since i will be leaving early in the morning. I appreciated the little fridge and the hot shower as well. It is pretty close to the bus stop and train station.

I had a trouble checking in since I was directed to other hotel to check in before I can enter the hotel have to walk back and forth .

Location was excellent for walking the Via Francigena. It's a bit of a walk past the property to check in. The large room has a view of the old town street below and the church bells chime frequently so hold off on napping!! Shower was great and everything was clean. Bed was a little firm but I slept well. The restaurant beside the room was fantastic and service was great for both dinner and breakfast. A great stop on the journey.

No complaints at all.

We were walking the via Francigena and came across a bridge right before the town, that we could not cross. One of the staff came to collect us - she was charming. We ate in the restaurant attached to the Albergo and it was an amazing meal. Would highly recommend the Alberge and the restaurant

Albergo Roma is a wonderful little hotel on Via Soccini (the main thoroughfare within the walled medieval town of Buonconvento). It has an excellent location, good security and very comfortable rooms. Breakfast served in the Ristorante Roma (restaurant next door) is good and convenient. Highly recommend this hotel. NOTE: Google Maps incorrectly places the Albergo Roma Hotel in the carpark next to the Hotel Albergo Ghibellino. This is a Google Maps mistake not the hotel mistake. Albergo Roma can easily be found from its address at 14, Via Soccini (which is next door to the Church of St. Peter and Paul (Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo).

Didn’t realize breakfast and check in was in a different hotel before arrival and the info provided. But otherwise all good. Short walk was ok to the other hotel

Right on the Main Street of the small town.

Check in is at a sister hotel down the street. Not difficult, just a bit confusing for a minute. Breakfast at the sister property as well. Can’t recall her name, but the woman checking us in was friendly and very helpful !

Reception and associated hotel with the bedrooms approx 200m apart, not a problem unless you have limited mobility.

The location was perfect right in town. The staff in the restaurant were very nice. The breakfast was great with many options. I am vegetarian and gluten free there were plenty of options for me.

The property is located in the old town close to restaurants. It has everything you need but is a bit soulless. Check in is at another hotel 5 minutes away and the evening receptionist was very helpful.
