Everything! The rooms are huge and spacious. Tons of space to spread out. We requested a room with a tub, and so glad we did! They have jacuzzi jets, and after a long day of walking and exploring it was awesome to be able to come in and soak! The location was unbeatable. You are literally a 1 minute walk to the main gate entrance of the old part of the city. Everything is at your doorstep. We rented a car, and were a little nervous how far a lot would be. It was 100 meters, which didn’t mean much to me, but a 1 minute walk from hotel. It was super inexpensive, and protected and secure. No issues at all. Unloading our massive suitcases and loading them back in dragging across cobble stone roads was not an issue. It’s an old historic building that was used to house this hotel, and they have retained the antiquity within the walls of the structure that you can appreciate in your room. The best part though was the staff! My heartiest thanks to Celso. He communicated promptly via text. Even after hours when I couldn’t work the coffee machine and had a simple question. He upgraded our room, without charge, he was very very insightful. The restaurants he recommended, we ended up eating eating twice or thrice at. Usually hotels staff will recommend the more touristy or expensive restaurants, he did not. He texted us a list and all were exceptional. We are very well traveled, and we would say that beyond location, luxury of the hotel itself, and comfort, which this one checks all boxes , but the most important thing is the hotel staff. This hotel is remarkable because of Celso took care of us. Breakfast was average, and not a huge selection, but sufficient. Coffee was amazing that he would make for us every morning. A lady helping out during breakfast, Evelyn, was always so hospitable, sweet and positive attitude. We will miss Catania, and the warmth of the people there. A big thank you to Celso for making our trip memorable. We hope to see you again soon.

Breakfast could be more abundant.

We are still quite overwhelmed and excited over the outstanding overall experience of staying at the Bastiò Private Suites. Right after booking the communciation was on a perfect level. I've asked for some extra favors as it was my partner's birthday. Not only did the manager and his team simply consider my requests, they made it personal and special, they took their time to make this a very spceial stay fro my partner and I. Without asking, and I honestly didn't even consider to ask as we've booked a beautiful suite and were already happy, but th eManager surprised us with an upgrade to a spectacular suite. The overall building was beautiful, the Suites are located in such a great area in Catania, so close to the most beautiful churches, the nicest restaurants and a fish market, while still being located quiet with a nice few on a park. Also the windows are 100% noise proof, it was just perfect. The restaurant is beautiful, the menu looked amazing, but we already had other restaurants booked. We can't wait tho to eat there on our next trip to Catania. We will be back at Bastiò Private Suites for sure, hopefully sooner than later.

Nice Italian breakfast and excellent service. Great room and amazing location for the main areas of Catania. Excellent eating choices within 10 mins walking. Also airport was less than 15 mins away.

For the price , there could be a Prosecco at breakfast. Some more space for clothes in the room , no shelves. Could add a nice sofa in the room, plenty of space. Seemed like, owners were trying save costs, only provided one small bottle water per night for 2 people!

This hotel was absolutely amazing, we saw the pictures online first but the reality was so much better. The room was stunning, with original brick wall feature and a cute little patio area. The bed was really comfortable and everything was utterly spotless. The staff were great, very welcoming and helpful, even down to providing a vegan breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend this hotel.

The only little thing that made us uncomfortable was that the toilet could be seen from the bedroom unless the huge sliding glass door was closed and no light was used.

The most wonderful stay ever among all the trips I’ve been through! You wouldn’t be able to imagine how kind and caring they are. I was on honeymoon and searched for the right place. It’s not the season in March in Sicily, but we were provided with a quality breakfast with lovely greets. And the building was amazing too! You have the ancient structure inside your room, which is a unique experience! We also loved hammam, a Turkish Sauna. And the most wonderful part, Celso and his colleague. I’m really grateful to the hospitality. I’d definitely visit this place again if I were given another chance. Thank you so much for everything.

It was a pleasure staying at Catania at the BASTIÒ PRIVATE SUITES! We enjoyed the central location, which provided us with convenience for exploring the city. The remarkable owner, Celso, was an absolute treasure, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He truly made our stay memorable, from providing us with a map and restaurant recommendations to assisting us with luggage and initiating an early check-in option. By 12:00, we had already settled into our amazing, spacious suite. The place was impeccably clean, and we also enjoyed a late check-out. Parking our car right in front of the hotel was incredibly convenient. Even though it was centrally located, the room provided a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. Additionally, Celso went above and beyond by assisting us with shipping a package back home. Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly recommend this suite hotel to everyone visiting Catania.

From the moment we walked in, we were treated amazingly well by the whole team. The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was excellent and it exceeded our expectations. I went to Sicily for mum's birthday and the staff even provided a cake and a bottle of prossecco. I dont think the location could be any better! Its a 45 secs walk to the main restaurants and bars. The rooms were huge, shower was great, TV was huge.... everything was perfect. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Catania.

We absolutely loved every second of our stay here and highly recommend Bastio Private Suites to anyone wishing to visit Catania. The location was perfect, right near the piazza, cathedral etc and next to the fish market. We had a car and street parking was easily found and cheap at 1 euro per night. My only recommendation for those driving is to aim to arrive at usual check in time of 3pm. We arrived early and with the markets busy it was a bit challenging. We can't thank Celso and the team enough we really did love our time there and would have stayed longer if we could. The rooms are absolutely stunning!

Our stay here could not have been more perfect. Celso was at the door to welcome us and help us navigate to the room upon our arrival, and at the end of our stay he helped us arrange a 5am transfer to the airport. He was in touch by imessage throughout our stay to offer assistance whenever needed. The room was exceptional - the pictures on the website don’t do it justice. The entire hotel was built into an ancient city wall, and our room was designed around a massive, ancient arch and merged modern features with the old structure beautifully. It was spacious, and provided everything we needed - coffee machine, fridge, safe, giant tv and an in-room whirlpool. The hotel has a shared terrace with a lovely private view of the Basilica Cattedrale di Sant Agata, but it was really just a 2 minute walk away from the very lively Piazza del Duomo. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Catania.

There’s no lift in the hotel, and the rooms are up a flight of stairs from the main entrance. It wasn’t a big problem for us as Celso and team helped us with our suitcases on arrival.

We were impressed with this property located in an old building which was thoroughly renovated to the highest standards. The architectural design of the suites is exquisite and maintained the exposed brick arcades of the previous structure. The amenities are also top notch: large comfortable bed, rain-like shower, jacuzzi and more. The breakfast was also very tasty and the host Celso could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Finally, the location is ideal, right in the middle of Catania close to all important sights, which was very useful given that we visited in a very warm period and could not spend a lot of time walking around. There is also a restaurant on the premises which seems great (Michelin guide) but we didn’t get a chance to try as we wanted to eat in the famous fish market.
