Excellent service, great welcome. We really liked the warm welcome and also help with tourism. We wanted to arrange a tour of Tuscany and the reception desk really helped us with this. Also, every afternoon, they would leave complimentary water and biscuits for us. The staff at breakfast was also very polite.

There was no gym facilities. Also, the breakfast could be better. The eggs were usually cold by the time we arrived at 9:30-10. Also there could be more variety with juices/cereals/bread (bread quality could be improved too). We were told literally on the last day that we could order hot eggs like omelette.

The duplex room was perfect, spacious and had two bathrooms. Daniel at checkin was very helpful, and assisted us.

There was a taxi strike in Florence on our checkout day, which the hotel failed to inform us ahead of time (early in the day). We requested for transportation at checkout (12pm) and we were then told there is a taxi strike, and no private transportation was available at the hotel nor did the hotel try to arrange for transportation. It is very disappointing that 5 star hotel doesn't update its guest with whats happening in the city, nor provide transportation or even try to arrange for transportation for its guests. We were told to just walk to station with our large suitcases without any help.

The location is great. The concierge Alex is friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. The woman running the breakfast team is extremely well organised and the staff are efficient and friendly.

The staff who clean the bedroom and bathroom don't pay attention to details. I used Earl Grey teabags and brown sugar, but they simply replaced them with any old random tea bag and white sugar. They insisted on organising my toiletries the way they wanted them, not the way I wanted them. Toilet paper was poor quality single ply and they sometimes forgot to leave an extra roll. They also forgot to leave glasses for water as they insisted on putting my toothpaste in one glass and my toothbrush in a second one.

Fabulous location, great communal areas and spa facilities. Useful information regarding Florence provided in room. Easy to get around points of interest, all in walking distance of hotel Helpful and informative staff

Room lacked a dressing table and mirror for getting ready and the bath was cracked and could do with replacing. It would be helpful at time of booking to understand the additional spa costs rather than day before departure

My Wife complained that the heating had been turned off and thus no heating in the Bathroom and towel rail. We did not use the spa as 75 euros for one hour seemed quite expensive

Location is perfect, right next to the Strozzi Palace and just minutes walk from some of the main cultural sites. Concierge was also incredibly helpful in planning out the several days of meals and activities which made for such a rich experience of Florence.

Our room was quite small unfortunately with just a little light, but it was comfortable and had plenty of amenities, just slightly below expectations.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. With only a short walk to the museums and monuments. The breakfast was one the best I've ever had in a hotel. All the staff are extremely helpful and polite. The room was comfortable with everything you needed for a comfortable stay.

There isn't much to dislike about the hotel. Despite the cost and five-star rating of the hotel the spa facilities are at an extra charge and charged by the hour. Plus, as an English-speaking guest, it would have been good to have more English-speaking TV channels. This wasn't a problem as we were rarely in the room, but to only have BBC news was a little painful.

The building is old, but totally renovated inside and very comfortable. It is very well located and accessed through a pedestrian piazza in front of the Strozzi Palace, but accessed by taxi / rental car. They have agreement with a parking lot that brings you rental car out /in from/to the hotel for 45 euros/night (Ponte Vecchio garage: 65 euros without take in/out service). And yes, they will make the arrangements to avoid fines for entering the old city ZTL. All Golden Tower staff are super nice and friendly. Breakfast is not comprehensive, but was delicious! As the hotel is not big, there is a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel really at home.

5th floor ir served by only one elevator. Although the hotel is small, sometimes it took some time to get it. But I recognize that is a complaint for anxious guys that does not fit with travelling and relaxing in Italy.

We liked the location and the service provided by the staff. We liked the breakfast. The parking/valet service was very convenient. The room was perfect and clean. The reception was very friendly and informative. We would like especially to mention Mr. Gisel for his friendly and valuable service.

The address is complicated to reach. Although we managed to arrive at the address three times, it was quite hard. The parking cost of 45 EUR/day is somewhat high, although the service good.
