The Hotel is probably ok in principle, its location is very good. Especially the staff at the reception and in general the staff very polite, very helpful, very professional, pleasant. The hotel is clean, the breakfast enough diverse and Italian. Good coffee and good atmosphere during the Happy Hour.

The room we stayed in, 107, was small. Between the bed and the walls there were some 40 cm or less. Especially the bathroom was extremely narrow, sitting on the toilet was for me difficult since I am a big guy. May be smaller people would not have this difficulty. The hotel is rather for young people, it is difficult to reach your room from the restaurant or the other way around. The room we stayed in was very noisy, not only the noise from the street was disturbing, but also the inner noise caused by the corridor door closing and the lift. Do not stay in room 107.

We were extremely happy with our decision to stay at this hotel. It's location is perfect, within 5 - 15 minutes walk of all the main places of interest including the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio and some beautiful gardens. Staff throughout the hotel are friendly, helpful and demonstrate a respectful approach, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast room has a pleasant ambience and breakfast includes a good variety of cereals, fruit, meats, cheeses, breads and cakes with many choices of teas and coffees. We enjoyed the daily Happy Hour ( Prosecco and/or Chianti, both frequently refilled if required, thank you very much!) Our room (and presumably all) was traditionally furnished, with a very comfortable bed, plenty of storage and a bright, modern bathroom with a high quality shower. Despite being so centrally located, this is a very quiet hotel, with excellent air conditioning, much appreciated amidst this typically compact Medieval city. We would highly recommend the Hotel Davanzati.

The staff was knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant time in Florence. The location is on a quiet side street but is also very close to the sites and great shopping. The added touches, like the afternoon tea and the happy hour were charming.

The steps at the entrance are not accessible to everyone.

This was a great little hotel with fantastic staff. The rooms were modern, spacious (for a hotel in a historical centre) and stylish. The bathroom was well-designed and had a very nice shower. The air conditioning worked great, which was very important on such hot days. It was great that the hotel was so central because we could come back to our room in between museum visits even if for a few minutes. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite and were always positive and smiling. It really made our trip to Florence a real success. By the way, parking is a problem in the centre of Florence but for 35 EUR per 24 hours, and 3 EUR for additional hours, the hotel has a valet car parking service. This was extremely handy. You can also park your car somewhere by yourself for 25 EUR per 24 hours.

The location for the hotel is just great! In the middle of the city, just a few minutes' walk from wherever you wanted to be; museums, restaurants, or just strolling along the Arno River. The best part of our experience at the Davanzati, was the staff. Each and every person that we encountered; the front desk, the cleaning staff, and the kitchen staff, went out of their way to make our stay at the hotel, and in Florence a wonderful experience.

There are 26 small steps to get into and to leave the hotel. This really wasn't a problem at all for my wife and I, but I can see where it would be a challenge for some elderly or disabled guests.

Besides the central location, this hotel has an amazing staff, always super attentive (even before check in) and ensuring the stay was top notch all around. at confirmation of my reservation let me know there were 26 steps to enter the property giving me the option to cancel if this wasn’t going to work for me. They also let me know that I just needed to ring the bell and someone would come and help with my luggage on those same steps. Many boutique hotels in Italy have steps but few actually let you know in advance. I really appreciated this! The staff was always looking for ways to be helpful and when they saw me limping, they offered to get me ice. I booked a single room and it was more spacious than what I had expected. breakfast was abundant

I don’t think I have enough words to describe how phenomenal this hotel really is… To begin; the room was specious, extremely clean and very comfortable (great shower). The entire staff is extremely polite and helpful - - - they make you feel part of their family. They offer a very good breakfast (European Style) , a tea time in the afternoon and if it’s not enough, a happy hour with Prosecco and snacks. They literally go out of their way to show their appreciation to their clientele . Also, they are located two blocks from the main shopping area with all the great name stores of the city, one block from the Boar statue, 5 minutes walk to the Ponte Vecchio and 8 minutes from the Duomo! My family and I are traveling through Europe for the past two weeks and this venue was the best hotel we stayed so far. Highly recommend to all, specially if you are traveling with family.

If you really want to be pick… the only thing that it’s not great is the first step of stairs to get to the elevator. So if you are handicap it will be very hard to make it.

Outstanding hotel, exceptional service. The location is central but down a quiet street, the hotel is very clean. The family room was great and spacious with a section for the kids beds Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of pastry’s, cereal, toast, fruit and yogurts. There was also a selection of cold meats and eggs. Every afternoon there is free tea, coffee and cake and in the evening there is a happy hour with free Prosecco and Chianti… we also tried a cocktail which was potent but lovely. The staff were great with the kids and couldn’t do enough to help us with anything we needed. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

Most of the staff were very lovely and polite, especially the ladies that helped with the breakfast. The room had everything I needed for my stay - toiletries, towels, hair dryers, a fridge, and a safe. The location couldn't be better - it is about 10 min walk from the tram stop that takes you to the airport and less than 10 min to the Duomo. The shutters on the windows were a nice surprise.

The bed was not comfortable, I felt as if the mattress had a hole in the middle. I could hear everything in the room and bathroom that was right next to mine. I wish I had been told about the tourist tax at check-in rather than at check-out. Upon checking out, I received an email prompting me to leave either a 10* review or nothing. I didn't appreciate this at all and it left a very bitter taste. Makes you wonder how many of the 10* reviews on here are genuine.

I stayed with my mom at this hotel. The room was spacious and quiet. We really enjoyed the happy hour. Yes, there are steps to enter the hotel, but it helped us to burn some calories and feel less guilty about eating delicious Italian food all day. Staff helped us for luggage to carry. Breakfast was simple, cereal, bread, frusit, ham, cheese, boiled eggs and tea coffee etc ... I am not a breakfast person, yet I never missed it during the stay.

Only if breakfast had some more varieties,e.g. change of kinds of cheese, ham,or, fruits daily would be nicer.
