You have to be a confident driver and not have a wide car to park in the courtyard as the entrance is narrow and the lane from where you enter and exit is also narrow. If so, you’ll make it inside the secure parking lot with the guidance of the host in a 3-point turn. The host meets after your phone call to let you through at the nearby lane with the metal bollard blocking your access into the restricted zone. It is normal for other cars to queue behind you while waiting for the host to arrive. His assistance in guiding you through the gate is needed as your car blocks the lane while manoeuvring inside. Your car registration is provided for the host to arrange free access into the ZTL roads. The apartment were we stayed is in a separate building a few (200?) hundred metres from the hotel rooms. You have to walk up the stairs to the apartment. The apartment is large and has a portable air conditioner in the bedroom. Along with fans, that helped maintain a reasonable overnight temperature during the heat wave. Mosquito repellents are supplied. The wifi was good. Kitchen is well equipped and the fridge has a freezer compartment.

location was great, in the very center. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The main problem - it's not a actually a "hotel", but a bunch of apartments in the same building. The building itself is very atmospheric, the apartment we got (suit Anna) was very spacious, I would say too much for just 2 of us. The apartment requires some renovation in my opinion, but it's still ok for a short stay, I would replace the bath with a shower, also water pressure was very disappointing, maybe it's just an old building. They also have to follow the building polices - that's why all those wired rules with the parking availability etc.

The service at Dali was amazing. The front desk clerk was incredibly helpful with parking, creating an itinerary, helping with transit, picking places to eat, and was very hospitable. Other employees at dali we also very friendly and helpful.

For the price and location I can't complain on our stay but in hotter weather it might be hard without AC (although they do have a good working fan). Also shared bath might be inconvenient for some but there are two and they are always clean. Never ran into the problem of it being to busy to use the bathroom and I really don't think you can beet the value and that may be in part to a shared bath.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, only 2 minutes walk away from Duomo. The room size was great for us and it was very clean and well presented. We were pleased to have a fridge and kettle in the room, as well as tea and coffee and some free snacks. The receptionists were always very friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We have been travelling Europe for 8 weeks and this is one of our favourite hotels so far, I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything was perfect, staff was really helpful even at late night. Late arrival was no problem, self check in was availible. In the morning we got delicious croissants and other pastry from panateria. We even didn't mind the shared bathroom. Everything was clean and working. Location was top!

The only thing that was a little bit stressful, was parking and that is totally understandable because you are right in the city centre. Better than to stress about arriving time to get in the free parking lot that closes at 7 pm is to come after 8pm when the city is quiet and entry to vehicles is open with no registration needed and to park at the paid parking lot for 36 EUR for 24 hrs. Paid garages are availible until midnight and are pretty close.

Exceptional customer service from the staff both Azzurra and the gentleman on reception were friendly and incredibly helpful. Free coffee in the morning was a great touch and we also had free breakfast pastries the first morning. We had a room at the front of the hotel that was a bit noisy with drunk people outside in the street into the early hours of the morning but the hotel can't do anything about them... I think if we had a room at the back of the hotel it would have been perfect. The location is ideal and can't get much better. All in all I would stay again and recommend.

The property was amazing! The room was perfect for us 4 and the facilities were perfect such as iron, hair dryer, air conditioning, well equipped kitchen! There are free coffee and snacks at the reception which was so sweet!! Stuff like tea, coffee, loads of pastries! In our kitchen we got crackers and snacks! The owner/person who welcomed us was so sweet, welcoming and showed us on a map the different places we can visit around Florence! She is amazing. The location is literally in the centre and so easy to walk around anywhere because it is so close.

Everything was perfect.

The room was located super close to the city, leaving the hotel you could see the dome already. The room had a ceiling fan and a sink which was super helpful. Everything was very clean and the staff was very nice. Even though located so central it was very quiet and the library across the street even offers great food in the cafeteria for a good price. Thank you for having us!!

One of the shared bathrooms was very small and very hot. Inside of the room we would've appreciated some more pegs for the towels and washbags.

The hotel is run by Marco, Samanta and Azzurra who are all lovely and really helpful. The room was surprisingly large with good facilities and an excellent ceiling fan. It overlooked a courtyard - amazingly quiet, all we could hear were the birds and the church bells each hour, you wouldn't believe it is the middle of Florence. And it is really right in the middle. You turn left out of the main entrance and there is the Duomo at the end of the street! It was also excellent value for money, and included free car parking, although you need to have a Fiat Panda or similar to effectively use it and navigating a car around the tiny streets of central Florence and negotiating the Italian ZTL restrictions are not necessarily recommended.

I don't think Marco could have done much better really - the hotel doesn't have dining facilities due to its size, but you are surrounded by a whole city, so why eat in the hotel? In fact Marco brought pastries in one morning and Samanta made coffee, which was a lovely treat. The elevator to the hotel is quite small, but the historic elevator is also part of the charm of a historic building like this.

The styling of our room was great, with the views of the courtyard letting the spring sunshine in through the balconies. The free parking (need to pay the small city centre driving fee) was a huge win, and you simply can’t get a better location. plus the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and reply to messages very quickly. the large apartment was great for us with a baby, we could have lunch back there, save some money and let her be free on the sofa in the kitchen. one of my favourite ever hotels. if you need everything modern and perfectly painted then this isn’t for you, if you want charm on top of great staff and location then this is perfect.

nothing really. I didn’t see air con so may be hot in the summer but we didn’t need it so I didn’t look for this - but worth checking if you are booking for summer. There is adjustable heating for when it is cooler.
