The location was great, and the staff was friendly and kind. The place itself tells the story of Palazzo Galleti, built in 1831.

The room was dark; more light is needed.

This is truly a large Palazzo building, the beautiful courtyard with columns and high ceilings in the room create exactly this feeling. To our joyful surprise, despite the height of the space, the room was very warm. We read in advance in the reviews that the floor was cold and took slippers with us. We arrived earlier and were able to leave our things in the office, but since we returned to the hotel after 18.00, they left us instructions on how to check in, and this did not cause us any difficulties.

a modest breakfast, which in general can be skipped. We did not immediately cope with the shower, since the mixer and tap were not standard.

Room was a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The walls were very thick and we had a little balcony looking over an interior courtyard so we could not hear any noise from outside.

The air conditioning unit in the room was very old and incredibly noisy. We could not do without it because it was an extreme heatwave but the noise kept me awake for most of the first night. The shower cubicle needed a bit of tlc but it was perfectly fine to use. There was no plug for the sink meaning we were wasting water, which I don't think is good in drought.

A period property, putting you in touch with the Florence of old. Friendly staff, a great entrance & comfortable, grand room with fabulous modern bathroom. Breakfast was decent. Location really great & a large, clean room. We had the Elios room, ceiling paintings and very high ceilings. Really quite grand. Parking straight opposite, yes it’s €80 for two days but it is straight across the street. So handy !!

The owners take care to preserve and enhance the character of the building, and do it with much taste in my opinion. It is clearly work in progress but it was nice to see. Our room was not as richly decorated as in the pictures but we liked it. The staff was lovely and the breakfast good. They provided very nice gluten free food for me. We were able to keep our bags there after checking out. Also, the location is excellent.

The weather was very hot and their air con didn't do much.

Our room was the Mercury room Amazing room with beautiful classic decoration. Spacious bathroom Very clean with daily cleaning by the hotel. Fresh towels as well. Really impressed by the service Overall I would go back if I visit Florence again and I recommend it strongly

Not a big variety of breakfast. Many things were only offered after requests such as chocolate spread and milk

Very comfortable, clean and good value for money. The location is walking distance from everything and there are a number of fantastic restaurants around. I read a few reviews that had meantioned some negatives but I honestly didn’t experience anything of the sort. The staff where very friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned for us every day with fresh towels, the aircon worked and the mosquitos where minimal.

Wifi went down for a little while during our stay.

It central location for exploring the city.

Poor breakfast, we had to ask for orange juice and scrambled egg, which when it was bought over from the cooker it was cold despite having a chafing dish beneath, when reception ask what time you want breakfast you should expect it all to be there rather than asking on a daily basis.

Great location, very central. Staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had two twin rooms as travelling with teens. One room had windows looking over the central courtyard and was very airy, other was less airy but had a frescoed ceiling and air conditioner so no complaints. Breakfast was good. For the cost, I would definitely stay here again

We enjoy our stay @ Palazzo Galletti. It is a grand old building. Room was spacious & had a large bathroom. Breakfast was light but a good start to the day. Location was great. Bus stop just outside to get you to Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Just beware there is no lift so suitcases have to be carried up the stairs to 1st Level.
