Excellent location, staff especially lovely, Elmedina .. she was so warm and welcoming, travelling alone she was so helpful and I felt safe and secure in the hotel. Only street and restaurants were loud outside so take stronger ear plugs. I would definitely stay there again except in a room away from the street.

Location close to Train station and main sites is excellent. The breakfast was paticularly good with part of it being prepared for the guests by the staff. But the exceptional thing was the room I stayed in (Room 8 I think) which was very large, very comfortable, quiet with nice views and felt very grand. Would definitely visit again, this is an excellent hotel

Slightly tricky to find because the hotel entrance is inside a main door, on 2nd floor of building and I didn't spot a sign on the street for the Hotel - I just went to the street number and there it was. But don't let that put you off, the hotel and room I stayed in are excellent

Location was perfect. The staff at the front desk, sorry I can't remember her name, was there to make sure everything was great for us. They even accommoded us when we arrived early. And we had to leave early, she made sure breakfast was in her room before we left. Don't know what more I I could have asked for!

Our room was on a busy road, you could hear cars and people from time to time. However, traveling around Italy, this is something very very common. I can't say it was a negative, just play background noise or earplugs. However, this is unavoidable and almost all hotels. I don't care what they say.

Very friendly helpful team in every interaction! Loved staying in a 15th century building and the ceiling painting was an extra piece of ambiance. The location is so great, quick walk from the bus/train station and your home and a few steps to impressive historical sites! I loved it so much I stayed one more day.

I find after travelling in Italy for a few weeks, older buildings generally nothing is perfect, but the team went out of their way to be available for my questions.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were great with suggestions where to eat and how to get around and see things. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were just so wonderful and catered to whatever you needed. Breakfast was 7:30 to 10, however, they made breakfast early for us at 7:15 since we had an early tour. They can also give u breakfast the night before if u have a really early start and u can keep it overnight in the fridge. they have an elevator which was great. Great location, close to every place we needed to go including major landmarks.

The only issue I had was the mattress was a bit firm but some people like firm like my husband so this was more his style bed. other than that everything was great.

Very clean room with a big bath and a shower. Nice and helpful staff. Great location, very close to main attractions and only a 5 minute walk from the train station. Nice breakfast and a coffee.

The hotel is situated on the second floor and is nicely renovated but the entrance hall on the ground floor needs refurbishment. The wall separating the bedroom from the bathroom is thin but the good thing is if you need more privacy you can use the one in the corridor.

The location of the hotel is very convenient - within walking distance (5-10 minutes) from the center, where all the most important attractions of the city are located. The breakfast is very tasty with an individual approach to guests. The staff is attentive and always ready to help. The hotel has very few rooms and is very quiet. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable.

There were construction works going on in front of the hotel which made it hard to find it initially and using the coded elevator was an unnecessary hassle.

After staying in Florence several times, the search for ''the one'' we would return to has ended with Hotel la Scala. The location is a short walk from the train station in a pleasant area with good options of restaurants. The breakfast is pre ordered with a time to assist the servers, who were brilliant. Then a wonderful array of options are served on a long table shared with other guests. There is no pressure to converse with others, though it was a very friendly atmosphere. The lady in reception was fantastic, full of life and enthusiastic. You know when you find '' the one''. We have found ours.

Only thing not to like is that we are not still there.

I was really pleased with the location of the hotel, walking distance from the train station Santa Maria Novella. I am a senior person solo traveler. The hotel is in the second floor but it has elevator, I did not use it though because I am afraid of elevators, but the steps of the stairs are low and wide, what make safe to use the stairs, even for people of my age. The receptionist Elimedina was absolutely nice, and helpful all the time. The breakfast was a good breakfast and Sherry the lady in charge of serving the breakfast for the guests was also very nice. I recommend this place very much. Great location, wonderful staff and best price.

Honestly for me nothing.

From the service to creating a perfect understanding and full-filling customers. we had a wonderful stay indeed! they provide memorable experience , A Genuinely Cheerful, Helpful, Knowledgeable staffs, the best! location perfect, nearby the train station and all of Florence main attractions. their breakfast are so delicious , served hot like a freshly baked breads with some selections . the hotel rooms are very clean and smells so fresh, everyday. Distinctive, Well-Appointed Guest Rooms That Are Exactly What You've Asked for. the only downside was the slow elevator. which is not a problem at all.
