It looks like an old palace which provides us special feelings among staying at this hotel. Old but very clean and tidy. Especially bathroom. Bit overpriced however breakfast included which is superb.

Wall is bit thin you can hear voice next you clearly.

Location is just outside the action but not too far that you don't get some noise. Parking is valet service and is very reliable and safe. Breakfast is a buffet style and had lots of high quality food items. The staff truly make this place what it is. Everyone is an absolute star. We spent most of our time chatting to Juri, who deserves special mention. Florence is a wonderful city and this hotel is an excellent choice. The rooms need a little TLC. That’s about as bad as it is.

Rooms are a little shabby (not shabby chic, just need a bit of TLC). Ours had a leaky air con that soaked the bed, the door handle was loose and the shower head kept falling on me. That's the bad part. The rest is all good.

This hotel is everything you can expect, and more. It is absolutely gorgeous. The decor is authentic and the space is full of history. Luxuriously decorated. Our room was stunning with high ceilings and beautiful soft colours two bathrooms, gorgeous window overlooking the streets. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit, baked goods, etc. The restaurant bar and terrace were all absolutely gorgeous. Staff was welcoming and very friendly, including all of the staff that worked in the restaurant. The bed was extremely comfortable with top notch bedding. Location is perfect close to the station and fantastic restaurants and shops.

This is a beautiful, old-fashioned hotel with real charm in an old palazzo. The staff were wonderful - a special thank you to Juri, who welcomed us on arrival, Claudio, who helped me with a computer query, Joyce and Tommaso. We had our breakfast in a lovely conservatory and a delightful garden on the warmest day. The hotel was close to all the galleries and churches in central Florence and also very convenient if you arrive by train - the station is a short walk away. Our room and bathroom had the most stunning view and was very comfortable, as well as elegant.

We had no criticisms at all. We were just sad we could not stay longer!

The decor of the rooms is traditional and aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast, of excellent quality, was held in a lovely setting. The room where I ended up staying (after moving from the ground floor because of unbelievably noisy guests in the neighboring rooms) was large, quiet, and peaceful.

The first room I was given, a few steps away from the reception area, was in a hallway full of boisterous, inconsiderate adults and children (part of a tour group, I imagine, since they all seemed to know each other and spoke the same language). They were constantly yelling in the corridor, leaving their doors open, slamming them, and generally creating a continuous disturbance. I took it for about an hour and then asked if I could be relocated. Fortunately, the person at reception was kind and understanding, and immediately found me more peaceful surroundings.

Great location. Great Coffee! Great restaurants in street - particularly Osteria Pastella (line up early if you don't have a reservation - well worth the wait). Room was nice but don't do this hotel if stairs are an issue. They do have a lift but there are stairs in each room for example from bedroom to bathroom.

Bed was a little on the firm/hard side as were the pillows. Hot breakfast choices (scrambled eggs and really fried up bacon) were often cold. Plenty of pastries, cereals, fruit and yoghurt. So plenty of variety.

great location near Santa Maria Novella in an ancient palace with renovated rooms with sparkling clean new bathrooms and historic touches. our room was quiet and facing a leafy courtyard with a small view of the church. Very nice full breakfast. Good value in its category with comfort and kind staff, we enjoyed our stay! Right near everything but a little outside the tourist crowds and noise. perhaps we are prejudiced since this was a revisit of. the first place we ever stayed in Florence many years ago but it retained the vintage atmosphere we loved while being gracefully upgraded.

Beautiful property, full of character. Staff were lovely. Rooms were clean and practical but also retained period features. There was a lift (not for those who dislike small spaces) but handy for luggage. Location was pretty good, very close to the train station. Lovely balcony to sit on for a drink / smoke.

Breakfast was lovely but you have to get there early to get the good stuff. We turned up later and there were no laid up tables (so not cutlery etc) and the buffet was fairly bare.

Good location- the railway station, all main sights, cafés and restaurants within walking distance. An historic building with modern comforts. Room 12 was exceptionally spacious, with traditional furnishings but with a modernised bathroom. The downstairs rooms, where a good breakfast was offered, showed the grandeur of the former palazzo. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, extremely good value.

Not the fault of the hotel but, as I had a room overlooking the street, I was disturbed in the middle of both nights I stayed by loud shouting, presumably by revellers.

The single room I was given the second night was on the bottom floor and had a little sitting area outside where I could sit and write. It was comfortable and quiet, a place I could rest after spending a day of walking and sightseeing in Florence. I changed from the single on the third floor which was claustrophobic and tiny and hard to move around. The staff at the Front Desk were very helpful.

The first night on the third-floor single room. It was minuscule and the bed was not comfortable. I asked if indeed this is what I reserved online. The front desk staff checked and said yes, however, there was another single if I would like to see it. I did and liked the one on the ground floor.
