Bathroom was very small. No place to put a toiletry bag. Would have liked a water kettle in the room. No room darkening shades, but there was a street light right outside the window. That was annoying.

Chose this hotel due to its proximity to the rail station. Many times in the past we have chosen far more expensive properties Hotel Roma’s offered similar or equal accommodations at considerably lower cost, it did not disappoint. During August one needs a fully functional AC system to provide a respite from the heat. Hotel Roma delivers. Next trip to Florence this property will be top of the list. And, the breakfast is one of the nicest spreads going.

Only one minor disappointment, the automatic espresso machine does not deliver. I understand why properties have gone to these automatic machines due to labor costs. Morning coffee in Italy should be perfect just like everything else at the hotel. Note, I recognize this is a first world complaint.

A fabulous location for seeing the amazing sights of Florence. Walking distance from the train station and central for all of the sights, shops and restaurants. Situated in a picturesque square easy to find and use as a hub for the long days sightseeing.

There was no tea or coffee facilities within the rooms which deterred you from using the hotel for a rest and relax. Instead it encouraged you to find another establishment for your break during the day.

beautiful classic style, in the middle of everywhere, close to the train station and all the city attractions, walking distance to everywhere, plenty of restaurants and stores around the hotel. Great comfortable room, good breakfast. the staff was always very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

The location of the property was perfect! The existence of the newspaper stand was also nice. The size of our hotel room was very comfortable and quite modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

We stayed in room 405, the mattress on the bed was very hard and we found it difficult to have a prober sleep during our 4 night stay. The bathroom could use an extra 3-4 hangers for the towels as having 4 people staying in one room is quite a challenge with a single bathroom. The shower needs an upgrade as water leeks on the floor and creates a mess in the bathroom. There was a bath tab also in the bathroom but it’s shower was not working so we assumed that it was just meant to be a bath tab. The room also needs a coffee station or simply a smalls kettle with a couple of mugs to prepare a coffee. And last but not least, the breakfast needed a few additions, some tomato or cucumber some olives… would have been nice along with the cheese and salami and some variety of breads also.

Location - Exceptional at the center of Santa Maria Nuvella, 5 minutes walk to the train station, 3 minutes walk to the city tramp line, 30 seconds to catch taxi, 7-10 minutes walk to Duomo (cathedral) and 12-15 minutes walk to gold bridge (Ponti V) . Excellent square for relaxation and the hotel is ready to issue city Map to visit exciting sites in Florence (Firenze). Very exciting staff, always ready to support and mini-bar free of charge. i love Hotel Roma Firenze.

The Key... so big. Note it can break glass table, mirrors and can be used at a weapon in anger. i suggest a review be made to revert to keyless. Not good to handle in a hurry, it can curse trouble when mistakenly fall off ones hand. the breakfast room is too small, and congested. upgrade be made to improve its standard.

This property is in the most perfect location. It is central to all the tourist attractions and some great restaurants. A special thank you to the ladies on the front desk who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We were recommended an amazing restaurant for my partners birthday and they even booked it on my behalf. A bottle of wine was given as a birthday present to him also. A further shoutout to Aliana who sent up a surprise gift to our room on behalf of the hotel and offered to show us the roof top. Having worked for years in a hotel myself, I know how valuable it is to have staff who go above and beyond for their guests. Well done Hotel Roma. We will definitely recommend to friends and family.

The gym was closed due to a leak.

Lovely hotel in a great location in the Santa Maria Novella piazza. Very convenient location with a short walk to the railway station. Lots of restaurants nearby but we found places a block or two away were a little better than the ones in the piazza. We booked a twin room but they upgraded us to a big room with two queen beds - a real treat as we had been travelling a few weeks! The room was really nice - very modern, nice bathroom and toiletries. The room didn't have a window as it was an 'attic style' but it did have a skylight that opened so there was light and we could get fresh air! Staff were efficient. Breakfast had a huge spread.

The night long noise outside, albeit a Saturday night, was unacceptable. Even with windows and shutters closed it felt like the revellers were in our room from midnight to 5am. Better sound insulation necessary.
