The listing does not do this hotel justice at all it was far better than i expected and the staff were all fantastic especially Paloma, they were all really helpful !!! I asked for a room with a bath as I prefer a bath and that was no problem at all, I also arrived early and that wasn't an issue, I was able to check in early. Everything was fantastic. The hotel itself is really nice and has a bus stop right outside so it's really easy to catch a bus to the centre no need for taxis. The breakfast was great and a lot on offer hot and cold choices. They even made me a take away breakfast bag one morning when I had an early morning tour which was really kind and appreciated. I will definitely be going back.

The heating was a little noisy but this is very minor.

This was the best Italian hotel we've stayed in! That is saying a lot because we probably stayed in 15 different hotels all over Italy in the last 2 years. The bed- was very comfortable- so comfortable that I forgot what country I was in! The room- The room was a good size. I love the amount of mirrors in the room, especially the full length one on the closet, It made for a great place to put on my makeup. The breakfast- the breakfast was exceptional a lot of wonderful fresh options. It was not a typical Italian breakfast. They offered to make fresh cappuccino and espresso. I am not a fan of the machine ones. The staff- The staff was very nice. Very helpful. Just really cool people. Accessibility- It was a very convenient hotel and it had three different elevators. Not just one small elevator like most European hotels. Location- The hotel was about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the city center but it was an enjoyable walk. Parking- We drove up from Naples and it was nice that the parking garage was 15 euros a day to park. Check-out- We very much appreciated the 12:00 p.m. check out, not that we needed that much time but I always appreciate hotels giving extra time in the morning on the checkout day. If I ever go to Florence again I would definitely want to stay here again!

I only would have liked for our hotel room refrigerator to work better. I like to have cold water and often drink prosecco cold. The lighting in the bedroom could be a lot better. There needs to be more light near the closet mirror.

San Gallo Firenze is a very nice, comfortable hotel. The front-desk staff was professional, helpful, and friendly, and the room was comfortable, clean, spacious, and more than adequate for our needs. We only stayed there one night - before our early flight the next day. San Gallo is not a glitzy, touristy hotel in the city center, but nonetheless is clean, well run, and comfortable. The breakfast was ample, and overall our stay was positive and very deserving of strong marks.

The only issue we had was the coffee machine was not working at breakfast, and the staff was not able to fix it in time for our departure!

Yes, its not in the middle of the old city, but it was easy to get there by car. Staff was super kind and nice and we got a balcony room with jet shower. Also they have Vespa’s in the hotel that you can rent.

No dining, no dinner. You will have to relay on the restaurants in the city, for older people it might be a lot of walking.

The room was very well equipped (even an ironing table for pants). Even the classic double bedroom was very spacious. The buffet breakfast was self serve and had great variety (both salty and sweet). The location is close to a public parking lot (15 euro per day, or 2 euro per hour), and is also close to the C1 bus (though we didn't manage to buy a ticket, the app requires an Italian phone number).

There are no musquito nets, the bed mattress was a bit hard (but we did get a good rest). The button for flushing the toilet would get stuck after pushing it, and it would take some effort to un-stuck it.

Location was fine, about 20 minutes to the centre. There was a nice cafe/ bar for coffee, croissants in the morning. Perfect!

We had to go elsewhere for a drink on our last evening because the barman said twice that he would come and take our order but never appeared

The staff were welcoming and instructions for the near by car park were clear (€15 a day). The room was large and bed comfy, even though it was 2 singles pushed together. Bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was good, good choice and quality. 20 mins walk to centre.

Air con in room a bit old, just did the job. Maybe needs an upgrade.

It was a nice hotel. I had stayed there before and had already liked it the first time. The breakfast is an especial highlight as it is generous and very good.

Spacious Comfy Nice staff Good customer service. We even got an upgrade for a gd price. People were nice with our toddler too Quiet and peaceful sleep Good cakes abd croissant for breakfast.

A bit old. Not all of it though. Very comfy still and spacious. would be nice to have smthg happening/restaurant inside the hotel at night. Mainly for people with kids. Not really central. 20 mins walk but it was okay for us. Breakfast was good but more fresh fruits and fresh yogurt stuff would be nicer.
