We had a nice stay here and our room was large and bright. We thought the location was great with just a short bus ride to the city centre. The hotel is located in a residential area which is very quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good as well.

We thought that it would have been helpful to know what bus to take from the train station to the hotel. We took bus #11 which was not the right bus to take and ended up walking for 30 minutes straight uphill. Take bus #36 or #37 from the train station. Don’t come out of the station exit where you see a McDonalds! You are going in the wrong direction to catch bus #36/#37. Instead go out the other exit, cross the tram track and keep right, turn left at the corner and the bus stops there. It’s a few minutes walk. Google maps suggested bus #11 but it was not right. You can by bus tickets from a machine inside the train station. The bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly.

We loved everything about this place the neighborhood is very beautiful with a lot of houses and gardens, an easy walk to the city center and very close to the bus station. The room was very comfortable and clean. The host was amazing he helped us with reservation for some tickets that we messed up the reservation, he call to the museum several times until he resolved our problem. He recommended some nice places to see like museum Bargello and Stibbert, we have been to Bargello and it really was gorgeous he also recommend a restaurant very close just 5 min walk Poarta romana pizza& grill a very nice place we have been twice . The breakfast was very good and new every morning with Tuscany products and home made cantuccini and cake. One morning it was sunny and I wanted to go eat outside, in 1 minute he put all the things from the table on one that was outside. Another morning when we went on an trip and we couldn't make it to breakfast they came the night before and brought us some cookies and cake. Great cappuccino for breakfast also and they were very attentive with anything you needed. After 5 night at this place we felt ike we were leaving a home. Thank you Augustino and all the staff for everything. We will come here for our future stays in Florence for sure.

The Greatest Florence Experience you will ever have! Our host Augustino was beyond friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about Florence and continued to show his love from the first day to the last. It was so sad leaving because after our experience within the group we all felt like Augustino was family! I’ve never been more excited to put a review together, truly an experience that I will not only tell my family and friends but I will hold close to my heart forever! Thank you a million times Augo, the Sangaggio House was a trip of a lifetime and it was because of you and your kind heart.

loved everything, I have nothing bad to say

Augustino was incredibly welcoming. He was polite, informative and with a wonderfully dry sense of humour. He gave us specific advice on travel, places of interest and where to eat. The room had matching furniture that was sympathetic to the style of the house. There was an ample supply of toileteries and drinks in the room fridge. Great choice for breakfast including lots that is home made. And a final compliment to Augustino as we were walking back to the house after dinner he was driving past us and stopped to give us a lift for the final half mile.

There is a garden area that we sat in on the first night and that could be better tended but Augustion already works very hard and that might be us being a little churlish.

For someone who doesn't need to be right in the city centre but prefers a quiet location close to the centre, this is an excellent location. It is located in a quiet neighborhood within 10 minutes by car from Piazzale Michelangelo. The centre from the accommodation is reachable on foot within 20 min or by bus within 5 min. The bus stop is approx. 300 metres from the accommodation. Just take into account that the way back goes uphill. Car parking has to be arranged with the owner. Good breakfast which can be eaten on the terrace with a view. We definitely recommend this accommodation. We would use it again.

We liked almost everything. The host is a very nice man who helped us find the parking for the car opposite the house. He,as well, kept the parking for us while we were on a short daily trip outside Florence. The breakfast is very good and it is prepared every morning with great dedication and effort and it was in accordance with your special requests. Every morning when you wake up you could hear unusual but very pleasant chirping of the birds. A walk to Ponte Vecchio takes about 20 minutes on foot and it is a very pleasant stroll. The taxi from the bridge to the apartmant is around 10 euros. All in all, it was a great trip to fabulous Florence and the stay in the apartment made us feel the spirit of ancient Toscana to the fulliest.

A three bedroom studio may need a bit of renovation in terms of furtinuture but neverthrless we did not mind it as we spent the whole day outdoors.

Very good breakfast -very friendly and good hosts - free parking

Its very far from the center. It takes about 40 minutes to walk from the accommodation to the center. We sometimes took a bus (closest bus stop is about 5min walking - but to get there its quite steep hill to go up) -we had the basement room. The room was nice but due to the breakfast area just next to it, it was a bit noisy in the early morning.

This accommodation was perfect for us: lovely quiet area very close to the centre, we didn’t even use the bus; free car park was a bonus. We liked the style of the room and beds were really comfy. Excellent breakfast in the garden and useful tips for our further travels from the very friendly and knowledgeable Agostino made it perfect!

This was a last-minute booking over a holiday weekend, so honestly, we didn't have super high expectations & were just happy to have found a place. But this turned out to be a fantastic, hidden little gem! Literally within walking distance to all the hotspots in Florence, with convenient street parking and an accommodating and hospitable host, Agostino. Agostino was just a phone call or text away if we needed anything throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and ours had lovely french doors out to the back patio and garden. The breakfast was perfect, with homemade baked goods, a selection of meats, cheeses, and seasonal fruit and eggs upon request. It turned out to be the perfect B&B for our spontaneous visit to Florence.

It's not a "dislike", but just so others are aware, the parking is not assigned and is on the street. It was never a problem for us to find a spot very close to the house.

The best part of this place is the breakfast that mr. Luciano makes. You can tell he puts much effort in giving quality delicious food. Plus he is a very warm and kind person. Definitely a reason to come again.

Even though i read in other comments that it is walking distance. It took us 50 minutes walking to get to the Cathedeal which for us was a but uncomfortable because of the hot weather. But after that we went there and back with bus everytime.
