Staff friendly and the room was very clean. The ability to sit in comfort outside was a bonus. The hotel is in a quiet upmarket area outside the busy centre and in walking distance from all the main attractions.

The hotel was a little further from the centre than anticipated but the walk into the city was a lovely walk.

This funky looking hotel is set back of a local road, on the edge of the inner part of Florence - in the San Frediano neighbourhood. It's surrounded by everything you want in an Italian neighbourhood, such as pasticceria, restaurants and cool bars, and well as a brewery. It's a short walk to the Porta San Frediano (the medieval gate) through which you find even more stuff. The room size was ample, and clean. The restaurant was excellent - we ate a bit late a couple of times and Fedele and the young chef were most acclimating and helpful. Whoever chose the music for the restaurant also had excellent taste. Overall a great experience, and we would go back again.

I don’t understand why am I being charged for the garage/parking since I am guest of the hotel? It’s 20e per night, but it’s first time I have to pay extra for parking/garage of the hotel. I would understand if it’s public parking or something, otherwise it’s not ok. Also we were being charged 14e per day for staying tax (42e in total for 3 nights)? In other cities we were charged 14e for like 10 days in total, that’s just crazy. And what’s with the smell in the hallway, it smells like toilet??

The attentive, warm and friendly staff. I had a week stay and enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel and the staff very much.

The location was very good, easy to walk to the city, calm, cafes and bars nearby. The room was comfortably large. The interior of the hotel was interesting and beautiful

There was little problem with air in the room. When you turned off the LED lights, the air conditioner also turned off. The window could not be opened because mosquitoes came into the room. At this price range, the breakfast could have been richer.

The hotel and rooms are at the same time stylish, quirky and comfortable. The staff were very efficient and helpful. In terms of the breakfast the baked foods (croissant, cakes, etc.) were superb.

As is the Italian way - some of the facilities suffered from style over performance. For example, the lovely big black enamel bath took ages to fill because the tap was slow and the plug didn't fit well so water was escaping even as I was trying to fill it up. The breakfast service started about 10 minutes late which was an issue because I had to be out by 7:30.

The hotel was built in the art gallery style. The hotel is located 30-35 min by walk from the Train station. The room is big. Room is separated by zones. Comfortable bed with incorporated bar counter, area with closet in which incorporated fridge and safe, huge bathroom with window-wall. Breakfast was well served with standard hotel dishes. The city center is 25-35 min by walk from the hotel. Supermarket is located 5 min from the hotel.

I don t give less points because of it, but I think you have to explain to the lady, working at breakfast, what is kindness. we didn't expect special treatment, just normal. no one in a hotel has ever spoken to us in such a style. She shouts grumpily and loudly. Educational style. She didn't bring cappuccino even after several requests, because she didn't understand the room number in English and said: then she won't bring coffee and left. She also spoke to the other guests in a very bad tone. (plus size, wearing glasses). The other lady was very nice. she should meet the guests, not the grumpy lady. :(

Beautiful hotel reception with outside seating and a nice bar. The breakfast was very good, and the staff really nice and professional. The aircondition worked very well.

The shower setup in the room was something else, and best suited for a couple, not friends sharing room. The bed was hard

Welcoming and comfortable hotel, with adequate hotel and in-room amenities. Overall, I was very pleased with the stay.

The location of the hotel was rather far from the city centre. However, for visitors who want to stay across the river for a quiet time, this hotel would be good.
