Lovely Florence family home, in a very quiet and safe area with friendly and helpful staff and hosts, Tomasso and Marta and Carolina.Eating outside in the garden was just perfect. We had the top rooms comprising self contained studio. Everything spotless. Breakfast lovely especially the scrambled eggs and bruschetta with figs. Cereal and nuts and croissants! We loved sitting on the balcony looking out over the rooftops. The property is on the other side of the Arno but definitely a benefit to escape the crowds. There is a well stocked Aldi/lidl equivalent just round the corner. Walking to the Ponto Vecchio is straightforward with lots of interesting stops along the way.

I liked everything and was fitter as a result of climbing stairs to top flat and from walking and enjoying the surroundings. Great accommodation

Really enjoyed my stay at B@B Monte Oliveto. Marta is so welcoming and helpful; she has created (and held) a lovely space both for her family (and for you, when you visit). Excellent advice about the area, very comfortable and clean and top marks to Tomasso for the excellent breakfast. Highly recommend this lovely B@B and do hope to visit again.

There is nothing that I dislike. I knew that I'd share a bathroom (which was my choice here) and I prefer my own, however it was all good/ it worked out well with the other guests.

One of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The care from Marta and Tommaso was exceptional. They took so much time to ensure that everything was comfortable for my stay and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfasts were amazing and on the day that I had to leave early for tour, they kindly left me a packed breakfast to take with me. The location is just outside of the city, so the location is peaceful and relaxing after being in the busy city. I would definitely love to visit again sometime.

Staff were welcoming and suggested places I could visit around the city . Quiet district for a good nights sleep. I walked to all the main attractions within 20/30 min. Locks in the doors , Room clean , good size bedroom , bed made ,breakfast and service 10/10 . I was initially concerned about the shared toilet - this was NOT a problem because people would come and go at different times of the day. I would 100 % book again !!!!!!!

No complaints

Lovely place run by a friendly couple. Tasty breakfast cooked individually. Relaxed vibe. Very homely. Location really worked for us as it was about 20-25 minutes stroll to the centre but on the non busy side of the river not pushing through crowds all the way. On the way back there are non touristy places to eat.

All good. Would stay again for sure.

Marta is amazing. What a lovely host and an exceptional B&B that she runs. All of her staff (Elisa and others) that we dealt with were also excellent. We loved the location just out of town away from the crowds. But so close that we walked everywhere with our 1.5yo baby. It is genuinely a better part of Florence. Marta’s daily breakfast was brilliant. Our room was spacious although not ideal if you require accessibility (we stayed in the loft which could also be an issue for some who are tall with a bad back. Other rooms have high ceilings so just make sure you choose the right room for your circumstances). for us it was perfect. The room was clean, air conditioned, well stocked kitchenette, lovely rooftop patio, serviced daily and the bed, pillows and other facilities were very comfortable.

Overall a very good stay! I liked the location as it is on the calmer side of Florence. I visited during the very busy summer and really appreciated the calm street. I loved the old house and my room, it was very spacious and super clean. I also loved the design of the room! Hosts are very nice, always there to help with tips and recommendations for Florence. Common spaces are very nice, maybe if there is some kitchen space guests could use it would be nice. The bathroom was super clean at all times, at least I didn't feel it was a shared bathroom at all. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Recommended, would stay again here.

Some details that made me rate this stay 9 instead of 10: the shower needed to be renovated, as the water was going down the shower itself and it was somewhat hard to clean yourself. Another thing (which is not the fault of the hosts, but it's good to know) - if you get noisy neighbours or somebody with small children you can hear them very well all the time which can be a bit annoying.

Martha is an amazing host. She was very helpful with tips about both Florence and the surrounding area. The breakfast was amazing, do ask for "the plate"! You will be pleasantly surprised. Staying at this B&B really elevated our stay in Florence. The rooms were very comfy, the B&B was quiet and the other guests were very nice. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden in the late afternoon. The location was amazing, we really liked to be in a calm and green neighborhood. Parking was easy as there were enough spots. There were nice restaurants close-by. The inner city was about a 15 to 20 minute walk which helps to keep the crowds away.

There really was not anything that we could think of to improve.

The breakfast provided was delicious with a wide selection of things to choose from. The hosts were incredibly welcoming. The room was quirky but clean with a roof top deck attached. It was raining so we did not have a chance to enjoy it.

The room was quirky as it is an attic. The ceiling is sloped and you have to duck to get to the other side of the bed. The bathroom was large but again with a sloped ceiling. To shower properly you need to either sit or kneel in the tub.

This stay was like a weekend away with friends. All the reviews I read were spot on - Marta is a delightful host, and gave us great recommendations and guidance to enjoy Florence. The location is great. It is a short walk into Florence, but ideally placed for the great restaurants and bars that are away from the main tourist areas. Breakfast was at a communal table in the garden with other guests, so we started each morning chatting with other travellers (some of whom we arranged to meet up with in Siena to sight see together). I could go on and on.

Nothing!
