Everything! This was a perfect break for us, the first since Covid, so we were a bit anxious about staying over anywhere, but our time here put our minds completely at rest. From the attentive staff, Filippo and all the team, to the spotlessly clean room. There was also a superb breakfast with a mixture of table service and a good variety of fresh produce. Nothing was too much trouble. This complemented the complete tranquility of the hotel's surroundings. We have already recommended Horto Convento to all our family and friends and we will certainly be returning in April for my wife's birthday.

We loved the fact there was a coffee machine in our room, but we would have also liked a kettle for making tea as well. This is just a very minor point and didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of our stay.

Beautiful property and a very welcoming team. The property is truly unique and really beautifully converted. Each and every one of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but very comfortable and incredibly clean. The property is outside of the hustle and bustle of the main city center which is a welcome break from the chaos but still just a 15-20 minute walk to all the sites. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel has loads of nice bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone coming to Florence.

It was such a beautiful place. The staff were excellent ( especially Alessio…) and I was extremely happy there. A dream…

I liked nearly everything. It was so wonderful. However, the rooms were not designed for women really. No full length mirrors ( apart from in the lift) which meant I had to go down the corridor to the lift and then run back. The other round mirrors in the rooms were too high to see into properly and the lights too dim to do any make up etc. I had to balance my small mirror on the radiator by the window to do my make up! In the grand scheme of things, not really a disaster but perhaps this could be improved upon.

This hotel exceed my expectations and was definitely worth the money! The building is from the 12th century and has been tastefully restored and turned into a beautiful hotel. We were on the top floor which had a beautiful view of the gardens. The room was very spacious and modern decor. The ceiling was exposed brick which added to the character. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had a large selection. The staff would great and offered coffee straight away (which is alway needed first thing in the morning). The staff at reception always greeted us and were very helpful. Keep in mind that this hotel is about a 10min walk for the city but I actually prefer being away centre and found the walk enjoyable. 100% recommend and would happily return!

The hotel is beautiful! The location is perfect -close to the historical center but in a calm neighbourhood. The staff was always kind and willing to help. Check in/check out super fast! Daily cleaning was nice. Shampoos/shower gels etc smelled amazing and didn’t give off the feeling of cheap mass produce products for hotels. Would definitely come back!

The white walls need to be repainted to completely match the amazing feeling of cleanliness of the rest of the hotel. Moreover, the top part of the cushion of the headboard of the bed had dust on it -definitely need to be vacuumed.

The location is very convenient, and the breakfast is excellent with sparkling wine.

We stayed in the superior king room for three nights. According to the "Your stay include", the room has a garden view, but in fact the view out the only window of the room 114 was 80% roof tiles. When I asked one of the clerks about the situation, he replied that if we can see a little bit of the garden, it is a garden view, which was not a very hospitable answer and very disappointing. The next day, another clerk kindly offered to exchange our room, but we declined because of the hassle of moving.

The hotel is beautiful, a 15 minute walk to the city center. The place is calm, silent, the staff is amazing, there's a bar with a woman called Olga, who is super nice. There are a lot of local restaurants nearby, far from the tourists and the noises. I definitely recommend because you can have a little bit of the "100% italian Florence" and, yet, be close to the city center. Again: the restaurants nearby... Amazing food! Please, if you are in doubt, go to this hotel.

Everything, second time staying at this hotel, on this occasion it was a little more pricey than last however it was the mid size room and the staff, room and location are excellent. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable. Special thanks to Allesio the bartender who was a gentleman and really made our stay just a bit more special Ample parking Breakfast was really lovely and coffee is great, worth having breakfast included. On the less touristy side of Florence and you get to see more of the local going’s on, on leaving the hotel. Near great restaurants and bars

The property is located just across the Arno river and is walking distance from the SM Novella Train station. All the tourist hotspots that you can think of in Firenze are walking distance from the property. The property itself is beautiful and surrounded by green. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are practically designed. The staff, as one would expect in Italy, is extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast is the icing on the cake. I stayed at 4 different hotels across Italy during my visit and Horti Convento served the best breakfast. The outdoor seating space is a bonus.

If you’re slightly late for breakfast, there are some items that will not be replenished which seemed odd to me.

As the others have reviewed, this was a very cool, quaint and modern, stay in a FANTASTIC location. upon arrival, I thought that staying in Florence proper was going to be a little bit off the beaten path, but to our surprise, it was only a five minute walk into the city. The staff was fantastic from Giovanni at the front desk to Olga at the bar, they had all the answers. what was great about the areas that down the street you could find all of the local eateries, vintage stores, and shopping and directly behind the hotel. You wouldn’t even be able to notice that the local neighborhood start there. If we ever came back to Florence, we would definitely be staying at Horto Convento.

If you bring larger luggage’s, they’re difficult to layout with the size of the room
