Location is amazing. On the lake, with aweosme breakfast, quiet patio to relax with food or drinks for hotel Guests only. Easy walk from the train and great ferry access to bellagio.

Small Room and bathroom but I didn't spend much time in there so not a big deal.

Excellent location right next to the lake.. Clean rooms with a friendly staff. It is about a 10 minute walk from the ferry station or a 15 minute walk from the train station. Excellent breakfast overlooking the lake.

The location was superb. Easy to reach from train (if you´re ready to walk a bit), close by to restaurants & sightseeing spots. Service was superb - extremely friendly staff. Room was so clean and very beautiful even though I had the cheapest single room I could choose.

Breakfast had a lot of waste - everything packed in single use portions (cereals, mysli, nutella and others individually packed) this is not very ecologic. Other than that the breakfast was lovely.

The location is perfect on the waterfront in Varenna and yet just at the end so it also has some privacy. It feels intimate and elegant and charming. The staff is all very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is very good and brought to your table overlooking the water and laid out so pretty. The room stays cool in the hot, humid summer nights and is very clean and comfortable. The bar is lovely with wonderful lake views. It’s easy to step out and walk to the town square, waterfront, and ferry. It’s a great plus to have the lift to parking and town square with luggage also as there are many steep cobblestone steps.

Loved everything! Would go back in a heartbeat. ❤️

Everything. The location. The views of Lake Como, with a private balcony, were unparralled. The included breakfast was fantastic. It is a 5 min walk to the ferry, a 2 min walk to the main area by the water with bars, has it's on restaurant and bar. The staff, particularly Tatiana, was fantastic. Some of the most helpful, warm, friendly, people I've ever met. they also have their own parking lot.

No complaints. I literally can't think of anything.

Parking difficult to reach and with additional fees. we had the last 2 single rooms which were quite small with no lake view but were adequate . I didn’t like the croissants and the tea! We had a problem connecting to the WiFi

We had a unique lake view room with a private entrance that was adjacent to the main property. The room was very cozy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly & the small balcony in our room with a view was a major plus!

Breakfast needs some improvement. It was very pastry heavy and not much option for vegetarians. In my opinion pancakes would be a great addition.

We were unable to book a room for our visit to Lake Como, but with a transit strike called we lucked out taking advantage of a last minute cancelation. And what a stroke of luck that was. We walked with our bags from the train station in the pouring rain across and found a GEM awaiting us. Great check0in process with a superb gentleman at the desk who was nothing but helpful. Room was superb albeit an upstairs bedroom loft with a tremendous view of the Lake. WOW! Breakfast was served in a pretty little room by very nice servers. The breakfast was a tad sparse, but very tasty. Location was awesome as it was quiet yet a small stroll down the path to the restaurants and cafes. STAY HERE if it is available.

Room was hot and it was too late in the season we were told to turn on the AC. We had the windows open and found a few bugs flew in. Not that big a deal v. the over-all accommodation.

I had the most magical stay at the Hotel. The staff were amazing and the breakfast on the terrace with views over the lake was special. I especially loved that the bar was open to hotel users only after a certain time. It made the atmosphere very tranquil. The discount at the restaurant for guests was also appreciated. Swimming from the pontoon in the lake was really special and the location was unbeatable.

The staff here are second to none. Every single one of the people we met during our 3 night stay were wonderful, welcoming, helpful and generally made us feel very happy and comfortable. Breakfast was great, a selection of fruit, cheeses, hams, bread, cakes, yogurt and biscuits are brought to the table, along with cereals, cakes and biscuits from the the help yourself bar, you can also order eggs and bacon from the chefs, we ate very well every morning! They have a wonderful terrace where you can order drinks with complimentary aperitifs along with some incredible views of the lake. The location is absolutely perfect, a short 2 minute walk to the harbour or the church square down a quiet road. Views of the lake are outstanding! We stayed in the very top room and every morning looking out at the lake when we woke was amazing. This hotel is on the pricey side, but well worth it considering how lovely our stay was. Next time we are in Varenna we will definitely stay here again.
