Everything about this B&B was perfect. We really could not fault a single thing. Situated down one of the many beautiful alleys in the centre of Bellagio, with such peaceful surroundings. The staff were super friendly and really helpful with all our needs. There were a lot of options provided at breakfast which was all really tasty. Finally, the location is absolutely perfect, just a few steps away from the main Ferry port and plenty of options for food just steps away from the property. We would definitely recommend this B&B to everyone and would not hesitate to book again.

The only thing we didn’t like was the day we had to leave :(

The location was just right, with a short 5 minutes to the ferry. The hotel is old world, not unexpected for the town however the real positive was the garden entry, open garden type view from our room and a pleasant breakfast room. The breakfast was very good and staff friendly, with a full range to choose from to start the day. The room was adequate, a little dated but clean and tidy. Strange tea making facility on a large round table, would have preferred more space for luggage access in place of the table. Very light and airy room with two sets of doors made the room feel larger, providing a nice view of the surrounding building and the lake. Key card room access in a smaller tye hotel was a surprise and certainly preferred, rather than dropping a key at reception each time we left the room.

The hotel is old and we would expect significant wear and tear, however the plumbing noise from adjoining rooms was very annoying, especially early morning and late at night. Our bathroom basin was very slow to drain away and after three days hardly drained at all.

Staff were friendly and helpful - especially Mikel who went out of his way to help every time we approached e.g. train strike. The hotel was immaculately clean and tidy throughout and the breakfast was good food with a wide range of free choices to suit varied tastes and individual needs (e.g. fresh honey) and the staff were always there to meet any requests etc. The location of the hotel was ideally close to both the promenade and the upper high street and shops, but any guests with mobility issues might find the stepped access a challenge. There is a really nice outside courtyard/patio space to relax when the weather suits. Thanks

Again the room (303) and the bathroom were both very clean and tidy and our bed was comfortable, with ample lighting but the bedroom itself was a bit on the small side. We booked a three day stay, but if we had stayed for a week, it lacked enough storage for more luggage other than putting cases on the chairs, and there were no places to hang coats etc (when wet).

It was a small family run hotel in the centre of Bellagio close to many restaurants and shopping and also a short walk from the Melzi Family estate and gardens which are absolutely gorgeous. The staff at the hotel were lovely and very friendly.

The only thing I didn’t like was the steep climb up the steps to the hotel. Other than the main drag, Bellagio is built into a mountain and everything not on the Main Street is either up or down. The rooms are not sound proof so you could hear guests speaking in the hallways and in their rooms.

Everything!! First off, and before our arrival, the hotel quickly replied to our questions within the day, and helped us to get to Bellagio from Milan. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with water and directed to our room in the top floor. The room is spacious and beds were comfortable. Location: the hotel is in the heart of Bellagio, easily accessible, 5-10min walk from the ferry port. Staff: very nice personnel, always smiling and happy to help. They were very attentive to our needs and requests. Breakfast was great. Overall, the hotel and its staff exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend to our entourage, and would definitely stay again if I have the chance to come back to Bellagio.

The staff was incredible. So helpful and accommodating. They were eager to help or offer information about the area and what to do for parking, ferries, activities, etc. Central location, our room came with a beautiful terrace where we spent a lot of time to escape the tourist crowds. Breakfast was great and we looked forward to our espresso and croissants every morning :)

Nothing - it was perfect in every way. (Maybe a mini fridge would have been nice, but that’s not an issue!) We honestly didn’t love bellagio because of the tourist crowds especially during day time, so this place was our peaceful refuge from the crazy crowds. And our hosts offered us some tips of how to avoid the crowds as well, which was lovely!

Very well-managed, family B & B. Genuinely “beautiful” people who make you very welcome!!! Well-functioning and comfortable room with quaint “Italian touches.” Spotlessly clean always & in all area! ( I noticed the cutlery covered with linen serviettes and hand sanitiser throughout the B & B.) Excellent, friendly and efficient room -serving Very enjoyable breakfast to look forward to each morning…with excellent selections! Lovely juices…& even fresh honeycomb, which I loved! Great scrambled eggs and delicious, crispy croissants too! Top coffee, courtesy of the kind and very hospitable, “Michael.” Beautiful, serene garden-setting in which to enjoy breakfast, set around a towering, 150yr old Lebanese cedar tree! NOTE: There are 60 plus stairs if you walk up the stone-paved stairs of “Salita Plinio” from the ferry departure area. (Michael was wonderful carrying my heavy suitcase downstairs; Thank you again!) Tip: On arrival, take the street that is a ramp on the far left as you face the “climb” …rather than the stairs, to make life easier…I did not know until after!🙄)

Just one “hitch” in an otherwise perfect stay…Unfortunately, I needed to change room (from 3rd floor to ground /1st floor) due to bad weather that caused a leak, to an apparent, known problem with the skylight above my bed; right after I had returned exhausted, from the day “out” exploring (& in pain)…& was resting on my bed. It was an inconvenience (and time -wasting) to need to change room…especially moving my clothing, packing up and unpacking again. (I am recovering from serious illness, so it was especially difficult logistically…though I did not complain.)

The hotel building is nice and has its character typical to the area with an amazing garden and stunning tree!! The room pleasantly furnished and clean with a reasonably sized bathroom. This family run hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Bellagio with restaurants and shops at reach. The staff very accommodating and helpful providing information with a pleasant smile. I spent a good couple of days in Bellagio and hope to be back sometime soon.

The breakfast was very basic with mainly packed items. It would be nicer to have a small a la carte menu from which to choose in advance for the next morning. This would significantly add to the experience of living in a typical Italian hotel!

Elisabetta and Michele, so kind and helpful. Brought my case up for me from the ferry. Lovely family-owned hotel. Gorgeous quiet little garden with chirping Blackbirds... AND OF COURSE.... Ramon the Bello dog... an absolute sweetie. I loved staying here.

This is only a suggestion... But I found the plastic-covered mattress protector on the bed got wrinkled up during the night, under the sheet. Making it rather uncomfortable, and Hot. I KNOW protectors are necessary, but just wondering if something softer, might be better. Be aware.... There are about 50 steps up from the ferry to the hotel. And the whole of Bellagio is similar.

Hotel Bellagio made our stay in Bellagio. Easy access to the Hotel from the ferry though you do have stairs up to the Hotel however this is for most accommodation in Bellagio. The staff are fantastic!!!! Michael and family couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was great, serving many choices, including eggs and bacon. Our room was wonderful, quite large with a balcony with views to the lake. We sat outside a couple of nights enjoying cheese and wine. Many wonderful restaurants as you step outside the Hotel. The ferry is right there to visit other places around the lake. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

The bed was a little hard however have found in Italy this to be the case in many places we have stayed over the years. The shower is small again have found this to be the case in other accommodation. Highly recommend.
