Great location. Room was generous size with bedroom, dining table and kitchenette. Lift available so not lugging baggage upstairs! The property has easy access to everything at Bellagio even the coin laundry. A tip when arriving, walk up using the roads if you have luggage instead of the cobble stones steps with many tourists. Take the road towards the point via San Giacomo church.

The villa is lovely with a beautiful garden, large and clean rooms. The location is excellent.

We did not like the attitude of the owner. He didn't pay attention to us. It was cold in the evening. Air conditioners cannot be turned on too early. We asked for a stove but she refused to help. The villa and the apartment are nice, but the host has no human attitude

We drove into Bellagio at night, from Bergamo. The roads are somewhat narrow, and not for the faint of heart. And driving to the hotel was an adventure, trying to avoid other cars and tourists. But we made it. You do NOT want a wide car for much of Italy. Thinking a Hummer H3 would be neat? Think again. We had a Ford Focus wagon, and I would not want anything bigger. There was temporary parking in front of this apartment building, and free parking nearby (again, very tight quarters) was convenient. Our room was spacious for the 3 of us, and the tiny elevator was very helpful in getting my wife's mom (age 90!) upstairs in her wheelchair.

Not the purview of this hotel, but I suggest you avoid the two little food shops directly across the road from La Limonera. They are overpriced. Instead head down the hill (towards the church) and look for the grocery shop about 75 meters away. A much better spot, and very friendly people work there.

Spacious, does not feel like a hotel but like a home with a private garden. Right in the middle of Bellagio, close to restaurants, very quiet at night

Seniors need to plan carefully how to take their luggage. Lots of stairs and steep streets. The staff did not communicate about options or help.

Location - very central. Pleasant garden at front of property with a few loungers available for sun-bathing, if desired (we didnt).

For a self-catering accomodation, the kitchen was quite small, with minimal utensils and only a small cooker, making it difficult to prepare anything but basic meals. The toilet water was overflowing the entire time of our stay and making a noise as it ran into the pan, that subsequently disturbed our sleep at times. I did point this out to the owner early on, and she quickly sent a plumber, and who in turn confirmed the issue... But nothing was done about it during our 5 night stay. On some nights we could hear loud talking from the nearby streets (to be expected from such a central loaction) but closing the windows didnt reduce the noise sufficiently, for sleeping puposes.

Central to everything! Couldn’t have had a better location. Would definitely stay there again. The most amazing pasta and gelato shop right outside the property gates. The most amazing host too. Definitely happy we stayed there, I just wish I would have known there was a way to get up there that wasn’t stairs so we could roll our suitcases instead of carrying them up 100+ stairs. Not their fault I overpacked/shopped too much 😂.

Google maps sends you to the wrong area when you type in the address to walk there once you get off the ferry. Apparently it happens a lot because a kind woman heard our suitcases as we passed and came out to redirect us. Also side note, there are a little over 100 cobblestone stairs to get to the property, so keep that in mind when packing and choosing luggage. Not the property’s fault the gorgeous town is built on a hill but just wanted others to know so they could plan accordingly.

The staff, location and accommodation were all excellent. The location is right in the middle of town and only about 100m from the waters edge. The town itself is bustling with tourists, nice wine and gift shops and lovely restaurants and cafés. There is a slight increase in food prices towards the lakeside, but this is expected. That being said it is still cheaper than any Irish Restaurant. Bellagio is a must visit, and I will definitely go back to stay at Limonera

You would have to pay a little more for a room with a view of the lake, but the terrace which is communal offers a decent view and you can sit there with your own wine. No complaints at all

This property was exceedingly beautiful and charming! The location was easy to walk up to directly from the ferry and right in the middle of everything central in Bellagio. The self check in and check out process was seamless and very convenient for both us as well as the staff! The room was massive and it was fairly quiet despite having a central location. The bed was comfortable, there were extra blankets and an extra large bathroom/amenities by European standards.

The only thing that took away from the stay at all was that we did not receive housekeeping services on our middle day, when we could have used a spare towel or two. This was by no means a huge deal, and our stay was short, so not worth bothering staff for.

The apartment house located a minute's walk uphill from the harbour promenade in a lovely well maintained garden park is an oasis of piece amids the busy narrow over-crowded old town streets. Apartment furnished with good taste offers generous space, provides you with all you need for a short stay, moreover, offers a gorgeous view to the garden below. The adjacent terrace with a lake/garden view is a pleasant place for your morning coffee. A rare bonus is the elevator to the 2nd floor! Daniela is a caring host ready to help you even with non-everyday tasks.

Bellagio is a small township along Lake Como. It is best experienced from close proximity. This is where Residence la Limonera shines. It is bang in the centre of the town and yet an oasis of peace and tranquillity. The large lawn that acts as a buffer between the street outside and the rooms ensures that. A luxury in a tightly packed area. The rooms are spacious, facilities more than adequate if you want to be self-contained, beds comfortable, and views perfect(we could see Lake Como from our balcony). Daniela is efficiency par excellence, handling all communication and support with aplomb. In addition, she knows the area as well as anyone can. A bonus - the geletaria opposite the gate is the best in town!
