The location and service was wonderful. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful given how prominent its prime location could be considered as an excuse for it to be more snooty and 'high end'. It all felt like a family run affair by a tight knit group of staff. Whilst staying in Bellagio is at a premium Vs other spots, the benefit of waking up and going to sleep in the town that EVERYONE on the lake travels to via ferry cannot be underestimated. Early morning and evening the ferry service stops and you get the place to yourself with restaurants far more relaxed and welcoming as a result. (For context more connected towns like Mennaggio are far less welcoming). The Spa is small, but an underestimated part of the Hotels offering and having that to enjoy at our leisure was a real treat. Breakfast was simple, and could have done with a bit more variety, but it was all of great quality and taking it all in on the lakeside terrace was a wonderful way to start each day.

Some small considerations that are worth mentioning, simply because of the price bracket this Hotel falls into. The variety of food at breakfast and the smaller size of the basic rooms were the only considerations for the price paid; and lighter sleepers may be distracted with how noise can travel in a compact hotel if your room is located closer to the stairwell than others.

Fantastic location with a great view of the lake and the mountains. Daniele and his team of staff were always ready with a smile to attend to any of our requests. Well furnished rooms, comfortable mattress, brand new furniture, adequate lighting, excellent quality toiletries. A special emphasis by the management on cleanliness and housekeeping. A big spread at the breakfast with a variety of options to choose from.

Overall a great experience and we did not find anything lacking at this property.

I don't even know where to begin. This place was exceptional! My family and I took the ferry to Bellagio, and as soon as we disembarked, the hotel was right in front our eyes! What else could we do but jump for joy as we did not have to carry our luggage up a hill as we were doing for almost 2 weeks! Entry was super fast and easy. There was also a lift in the building! We were escorted to our rooms, which were amazing! The size of the room, the king size bed which were so comfortable I did not want to leave the next morning, the bathroom was also big and spacious with a separate shower and a tub, the room decor, the amenities, we just loved everything! We even went to the spa to relax for a bit before heading for dinner. The next day, we unfortunately had to check out, so we had breakfast with a view overlooking the lake. Breakfast was self-serve, and there were various items to choose from (Cereal, fruits, yogurt, croissants; plain, chocolate etc, scrambled eggs, salad, different types of cheese, cold cuts and more). This was one of the best stays my family and I had in Italy! Will definitely return!

Amazing location right by the lake. Even though I didn't get a lake view room, the room and view over the rooftops was perfectly fine. Roof bar was amazing - particularly at sunset. The hotel is family run, and the staff/ambience were lovely. Parking is located nearby - very convenient if you are driving.

Hard to be to critical - the hotel is great, exactly what you'd expect from all the promotional materials. If I had to provide constructive criticism, a PDF for guests outlining how to get to the hotel by car (around the ferry car park and up through the historic centre) would have been great - I arrived in Bellagio in the afternoon as there were crowds of people by the ferry area/car park; it took us a while to work out where to go!

The location is prime - right across the street from the ferry boat dock as well as beautiful views and sunsets from the terrace to see the entire lake! The staff starting with The Management & Owners - Graziano is so very welcoming from the minute you step onto the property. To Danielle who arranged many services for my family during our stay. The Resturant that is attached to the hotel should be rated five stars as well, service and food are way above the other places on the strip. The new Spa that they have is a slice of Paradise that they offer you for free!!! They can arrange an amazing massage as well to add to your stay ( the cost of it - well worth it) Loved mine with a trained chiropractor who adjusted me and my issues were gone by the end of the massage.

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about my stay - it was beyond perfect! I want to add that my family was ill during our stay and the cleaning staff as well as the property Resturant were beyond accommodating to our needs. The hotel is immaculate and all staff beyond kind and respectful. I will only stay here while visiting Bellagio!!!! I hope you do too ❤️

Very affordable for what you get. The location was perfection. The rooftop was breathtaking. The spa was an extra bonus! The room was very spacious and very welcoming/ warm. The bed was comfy. The breakfast also has an incredible view and nice that it was included. The staff was also very helpful with great recommendations prior to our stay, such as how to get there the easiest, amazing restaurants in the area (dont didnt feel like a tourist trap). Can highly recommend Dispensa 63, such an incredible and unique dining experience.

You could easily hear when people walk in the hallway or enter their room, blowdry their hair och speak close to a vent. And the room was facing another hotels breakfast area. Breakfast options was okay. Wished to have had the robes available during the whole stay and not just the day of our spa reservation. They also tended not to dry that well and was still wet the following day, although they were comfy.

Wow! Such a wonderful stay in Bellagio! Not only is it in an amazing location, perfect right on the main walk close to ferries as well as every thing in bellagio but the staff is what made the stay. Every one at reception, to hotel staff to the rooftop bartenders, were so kind and helpful, my fiancé and I loved the stay. We wish we didn’t have to leave but can’t wait to visit next summer. The hotel rooms are great size and clean updated bathrooms. They have an amazing rooftop terrace that is the best view of the lake in all of Bellagio and they do drinks starting at 7, you can make a reservation at the front desk. The drinks were delish, reasonably price, we ordered so many of passion fruit mojitos. The front desk is very helpful with ANY questions you have to ferry times, holding luggage or renting e bikes , forgotten toiletries, etc. They also offer a spa for an hour each day for hotel guests and free breakfast which is a plus! The spa was very relaxing, they had a jacuzzi, a sauna , salt shower and steam room. We did not try the downstairs restaurant but it was always crowded until closing, so it must have been good. It’s family run and you can really tell and it makes it even more special. We stayed 3 nights and we wished we stayed longer! Until next time

Cannot think of one negative thing about the hotel

The hotel has the best location in Bellagio. The views to the lake are awesome. The hotel personnel are very professional, nice and helpful. The restaurant has an outstanding view to the lake. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and abundant. Bedrooms are nice, clean, comfy and beds are good. The hotel has Spa services. All the restaurant and little shops are at a walking distance.

The parking it's an issue, but it's an issue for everyone in Bellagio. We were lucky found a parking spot on a road in the hill five minutes away. They offer a parking service but it's expensive though.

ur experience at Hotel Du Lac exceeded our expectations. Our room was absolutely amazing. Very clean, updated, BEAUTIFUL views - we had room #15. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. It is right in the heart of town. No car required. The staff take great care in helping to ensure you have a great experience in Bellagio. It was so easy to explore all of Lake Como from this hotel location. The hotel staff advised that we could get an all day ferry pass for $15 euro and travel to all the cities. We also used the city bus to travel to Nesso one afternoon. Bellagio was indeed our favorite city and Hotel Du Lac was our favorite hotel during our Italy & France vacation this summer. Bed and linens were also wonderful. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast buffet at the hotel was darling with a beautiful cafe and patio to enjoy the lake views. We also loved opening our balcony door and listening to the happy chatter and laughter from the cafe on the first floor. The view from the 7th floor bar was amazing as well.

The best location in Bellagio is across from the ferry station with beautiful views of the lake, we arrived by car and were able to pull up to the front of the hotel to drop off the luggage, the hotel has a parking area, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, and some of the rooms have an amazing lake view. Very good breakfast included in the price. An added perk is that it has an amazing Spa and the rooftop at Terrazze Leoni the views were spectacular!! This hotel is well kept, I would definitely come back again and recommend Hotel du Lac in Bellagio to all my friends and clients.
