If you're looking for an immaculate room, with a balcony view of Castel Nuovo and the sea, a short walk from Via Toledo and the Spanish Quarter, and a warm welcome from your attentive host then MAIN hits the mark. Behind a fourth floor apartment door lies a small and discrete reception leading to a small number of well-presented, spacious rooms with marble floors. The ensuite is roomy with a large walk in shower and the sanitary-ware clean and modern.

The climb to the fourth floor is fine for fitter travellers, but would be less suitable for those with limited mobility, so be aware that there is a climb - but then again, you get a first class view as a reward!

The room was incredible, the best location, the room spotless and the spa bath a luxurious treat! The staff were welcoming and lovely when they brought your breakfast each morning. There was no lift, but the marble staircase added to the vintage charm of the hallway, and the team were lovely - meeting us and carrying our luggage for us. So close to the port, and everywhere you’d like to explore, we couldn’t have hoped for a better base. Our balcony looked over the castle and the Bufala festival where pianists serenaded us on an evening 💙

Nothing - honestly perfect

Communication was exceptional, Giovanni contacted us ahead of our stay to gauge what time we would be arriving. His instructions were clear about how to find the hotel and gain access. He was friendly, informative and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and filling, it arrived promptly to our room on both mornings and there was flexibility regarding timings- as we had a mid-morning flight. The transfer to the airport on our departure was prompt and reasonably priced. The room was clean and spacious, cleaned regularly, and clean towels were provided on both days. The location was excellent- to all central attractions, the Spanish Quarters and not far from Spacaonapoli if you want a vibrant area to shop, eat and drink. We will definitely be coming back...

The fact that we were only there for two nights; we will be there for longer next time! There is so much to see and do in Napoli, in the short time we were there, we covered a lot of ground and managed to fit in an underground tour in the Spanish Quarters. The number of castles, museums, churches and theatres are wonderful and the architecture is so varied and rich. If you are looking for a city that offers so much more than fine wine and dining, this is definitely a city to add to your bucket list.

The room was beautiful, seemed newly remodeled, and was extremely spacious. Our room had a beautiful view of one of the castles and the harbor. It was nice to have both a side table and chair with a small refrigerator, plus another round table and two chairs for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, with croissants, toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, juice, yogurt, and fresh fruit, along with the coffee of your choice, all brought right to your bedroom door. The receptionist, Giovanni, was very cheerful and helpful throughout. He was in close contact with us before our stay, ran our suitcases up and down the stairs for us, gave us useful tips for a wonderful visit, and got us a great rate on a taxi back to the airport. The man in charge of breakfast and cleaning was also very kind and cheerful. (I would give this accommodation a 10/10 if it had an elevator.)

During cooler months, the stairs are probably not an issue, but after a long trip to get to Naples or walking around town for hours in the suffocating heat, climbing so many floors was not how we wanted to end the day. Fortunately, Giovanni helped with the suitcases, we were received with glasses of cold water upon checking in, and the room air conditioner always kicked in very quickly. I didn't find a safe deposit box anywhere, but it really didn't seem necessary given the way the reception and rooms were distributed.

Giovanni was a wonderful host. He helped us with our luggage up the four flights of stairs we needed to climb. We packed 2 large bags! Giovanni carried both up at the same time!!! We knew ahead of time that there was no elevator. The room was very clean and included breakfast (yogurt, bakery croissants, freshly cut banana and apple, cappuccino and juice) delivered to our room each morning at 9:30am. They had decaf coffee and soy milk upon request. The hotel was in the heart of the city. Close to the metro and the port. We walked many miles exploring Napoli and it’s various neighbourhoods. We would most definitely stay at the Main upon our return to Napoli! Thank you Giovanni

This hotel was a super great find. Sadly we only had one night in Naples because we were heading to Capri, but this hotel was great. The owner helped us carry our heavy suitcases (carried them entirely) which was nice bc there is no elevator. The room was super nice, clean, modern. We had a little balcony that faced the castle and thr water and it was a lovely view, nice to people watch being on the top floor. :) The breakfast they brought was delcious! Warm chocolate filled croissants that were maybe the best we had our entire trip. Staff were super kind. Super close to the ferries also, very convenient. We also walked to the centre storico, which was also a nice walk. Naples was a cool place, delicious pizza and beautiful street art 😊 GRAZIE!!

The shower head was a little wonky, but otherwise everything was great.

We absolutely loved our stay! Giovanni and David were exceptional hosts - extremely kind and helpful. Anything we needed, they went the extra mile. Loved the balcony view and the room was clean and cozy. They had breakfast brought to our room every morning and it was delicious. On our last day we went on an excursion to Capri right after we checked out, Giovanni let us store our bags there all day and even walked them down several flights of stairs to meet us when we got back. The service here is top notch - I highly recommend you stay here!

The host was exceptional with his hospitality and willigness to offer advice on where to go and how to get to the best places. The room was immaculately clean and a great size. The bath was an added bonus which was very welcome after a long day of walking around the city. The accommodation is very close to the metro and overlooks the harbour and only 27 min walk to the castel dell'ovo with its harbour restaurants and modern hotels/restaurants/bars. Was also very close to some great local bars and restaurants and a little off-licence. Breakfast in the room was delicious and plentiful and delivered promptly at the time of our choice.

There was nothing we didn't like but would have been nice to have some towelling robes given the bath available as well as an iron and spme tea and coffee making facilities which we felt should be included with an executive apartment.

At arrival the kind manager welcomed us and we had no other choice than to let him carry our bags upstairs. The room was absolutely amazing. It was big, good looking and very clean. The spot of the hotel is also very good. From the balcony we looked at the cruise terminals and the beautiful castle, across the street is a Metro station and next to the hotel is a private parking spot. As a bonus you can order your breakfast the day before and they bring your breakfast on your preferred time in the morning in the hotel room. Amazing for a stay in Napoli and thanks again Giovanni for the help and kindness!

We had some difficulties with finding a parking spot but that wasn't due to the hotel but due to the Napoli traffic and the fact that we didn't search beforehand for a parking spot.

Giovanni and his team were absolutely wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful or kind! The view from the room exceeded our expectations and the size of the room was great. Really convenient being just above Municipio metro station, and some wonderful authentic restaurants and wine bars in easy walking distance. Distance to port was also really handy for onwards travel.

The stairs up to the rooms were pretty insane! Worth it once up there though. Previous lady who occupied the room was pretty crazy and roaming the stairs without any staff there, she tried to get us to let her into our room after we had already checked in.
