The management, Antonio and Andrea, were wonderful! Warm, welcoming and offering practical help and advice. The apartment was sparkling clean thanks to the delightful maintenance staff, it was well air conditioned, had excellent wifi, a beautiful view of the port with Vesuvius in the background. The location very convenient to buses, metro, ferries and trams. It was walking distance to many attractions in Naples itself - such as the lively areas of via Toledo and via Tribunali. We love Naples and have visited many times, but this was by far the best place we have ever stayed in and we will certainly return. On my second last day I had a fall and fractured my ankle. Andrea was so kind and helpful - sending regular messages to check if I needed anything and organising our taxi to the station and the disabled care from the Sala Blu at the station in Naples and Rome. He even wrote later to make sure we had arrived safely! We felt blessed by our contact with these lovely people. Thankyou everyone at Relais Castel Nuovo. - you are the soul of hospitality and kindness!

We loved everything

We love the terrace, the views of Vesuvio, and the port and cruise ship activity. Watching the sunrise over Vesuvio from the terrace is extraordinary. The facilities are excellent. It is a great location for walking to landmarks, museums, and Via Toledo, with all that it offers. The metro is a block away, making it easy to get to many parts of Napoli.

Late summer travel in 2023 has been intense. The crush of tourism, cruise ship activity, and even local social concerns created more noise than we remember from a past stay. Even though the unit is on the 6th floor, street noise, including Fast and Furious-style drag racing along the harbor at 3 AM, led to sleep deprivation. The triple-pane windows just could not compete with the street noise that Saturday night.

Antonio was very helpful. Clean 5 stars facility. Location is perfect.

Antonio provided clear instructions on how to find the place/entrance and met us on arrival. Explained about the 10 cents for the lift, though handily provided a bowl of 10 cents coins in reception area. He also provided lots of info about local area/restaurants etc. The apartment was fabulous, great bathroom, spotlessly clean with good towels etc and was cleaned every day. It had everything we needed for a 3 day stay. The terrace was enormous with a great view over the port, cruise liners and Mt Vesuvius. The traffic is noisy whilst outside though but double glazing is excellent. The location is really excellent for the port (we came from Ischia) the metro, the central funicular and the main sites. Also the Alibus to/from the airport leaves from the port area across the road. We did a walking tour which started at the top end of the piazza. Nice bar downstairs for drinks or breakfast and loads of places to eat nearby. La Lazzura and Taverna Do Re are both round the corner and had great, well priced food. Really enjoyed our stay and will come back. Antonio was great!

No coffee machine in the apartment only in reception area outside. There was a tiny cafetière and a kettle. We love our coffee without having to get dressed first. I feel mean as this is the only negative point, which didn’t much affect out stay otherwise I would have given 10/10.

The manager, Antonio, was extremely helpful, providing information and guidance at check-in. It was very easy to make the arrangement. The apartment is modern and quite well-located, next to the ferry port, just ~8-10 min walk from the Spanish Quarter and ~10-15 min walk to the theatre. There are quite a few cafes for breakfasts and nice restaurants for lunch and evening meals. Overall, it was an excellent choice.

It could be a little bit noisy at night but I survived.

The client's care was genuinely exceptional. Antonio is a very attentive host who considers every tiny detail you can think of during a stay. The Appartamento was spacious, clean, and beautiful and offered all we could have thought about including. a washing machine (really appreciated after a 5-day "wild holiday").

This is not something the property can change, but the first night was a bit noisy - esp. the sounds from the street. But it probably belongs to Naples in its essence, so enjoy.

The apartment is right beside the harbour and a metro station (2 stops from Centrale). It is modern, clean and comfortable, and big enough for 2. Antonio was superb. Arranged for us to be able to drop off our luggage early, then when we missed that time due to transportation problems, he was constantly in touch with us, reassuring us that he would be there whenever we arrived; met us at the door, and carried our luggage for us. He gave us great advice on where to eat & drink. Also, he arranged a taxi for us for the following morning, as we needed to be at the airport really early.

Nothing really. If I'm being picky, I could say that there's nowhere to sit iin the apartment except on the bed; not a problem if you want to spend most of your day outside anyway...

We booked this with Andrea for our one night in Naples before we head to Capri. Andrea was exceptional! What a pleasant and professional guy. He had been helping us before we arrived in Naples. The hotel is beautiful and close to everything by foot. Andrea recommended some excellent restaurants to go to and he was there to answer our questions 24/7 he even let us check out late. This place was amazing but what was truly great was Andrea. Grazie Grazie Andrea we can’t wait to come back!

Great apartment with a fabulous terrace overlooking the very busy port of Naples! The apartment is very clean and within walking distance of the main attractions. After sending us clear directions, Antonio met us at the door and showed us where everything was etc., He was on hand at all times to help if needed, like booking our airport taxi for us. Thank you, Antonio!

A word of warning; the port of Naples is a busy, noisy place. However, you can easily close out the noise and we had no trouble sleeping. We enjoyed waking up to a new cruise ship docking every morning plus it was a real bonus to see Mount Vesuvius from our huge terrace!

Relais Castel Nuovo is directly across the street from the New Castle, and our room had a fabulous view of Mount Vesuvius, Capri and the Port. If you have time, there is a hydrofoil to Capri nearby. Located a five minute walk to the train station, you can't beat the convenience and easy access to many sites of interest. We took a "free" walking tour (by donation) through "Napoli That's Amore", that was excellent and a great way to orient to Naples. Antonio was very helpful, making a dinner reservation for us at his friend's excellent nearby restaurant Lazzaro (important to have a reservation) and providing many links to local attractions. Comfortable bed, clean, spacious room, and good coffee! We'll be back!
