The room and bathroom were very modern, which I was not expecting. Probably remodelled in the last year or two. The garden was lovely and as an unexpected bonus as I walked through the garden after dinner I heard the nuns singing, through open windows. A lovely surreal experience. Breakfast was plentiful and the nuns were very friendly. Lots of smiles. My lack of Italian was not a problem, I was able to make myself understood.

As I don’t have a smart phone with Google Maps to guide me, it was a little tricky to find. Just a door in an alleyway off a square. But local people were very helpful and keen to help. Don’t be afraid to ask for directions. 😁

My priorities for a summer holiday in Europe 1. Air conditioning (a must) 2. Location (this property was 15 mins walk to train station) 3. Comfy bed/ no noise 4. Fridge freezer (please note - communal) 5. Cost (I had booked months ago and had chosen to pay the total cost of my accommodation 'up front') This property ticked all 5 boxes.

1.Having to request for toilet roll. I had only been given a fraction of a toilet roll on my first day despite having paid for 6 nights' accommodation. There were no drinking utensils in the room so asked for a plastic disposable cup at the same time. 2. Breakfast. Very poor. I ate bread and butter with orange juice. Coffee as mentioned in various people's comments was particularly bitter. Cheese on the first morning was obviously not generally on offer for the rest of my stay so I brought in food to eat with my bread and butter.

We where really surprised by how beautiful the garden and facilities where. It was definitely an experience as it’s its run by nuns who live there. They where very friendly and made you feel welcome! Our room was a great size with a lovely little outside bit. Had air con which was much needed! I would highly recommend going there to experience it. Value for money and located in a great position, close to city Center. There was also a nice square right outside.

We might not have stayed longer then 2 nights only because it is a convent and we obviously wanted to be respectful which means no late night drinking on the veranda which was not a massive problem considering Pisa had many places to be. But just a heads up ! Breakfast was unfortunately not great, hence we are not scoring it a ten. Just some pieces of bread and packaged croissants / Coffe.

We walked from the station and were greeted by a quiet, friendly nun in a simple entry hall, then shown to our room, across a delightful courtyard garden. Our room No 3 doesn’t have a view of the garden but others do. You can sit outside in the garden. The room was modern, spotlessly clean, cool with tiled floor, with very good shower room and dressing area. Beds are basic but comfortable singles, although bed ends may affect tall people. Bed linen and towels were clean and white. There was no tea or coffee making facility, but local cafes nearby. Delicious pizza and wine in a friendly nearby restaurant (turn right out of entry door). Breakfast was very simple serve yourself packaged cake and yoghurt. Lovely coffee. We were able to leave luggage with the nuns for a few hours. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Sign on the door could be helpful when first arriving. Doors in our room scrape the floor which is probably noisy for the neighbouring rooms.

The sister who checked us in and out was very helpful and her English was great which helped us lots. So close to the important things! Tower, restaurants etc The room was exceptionally clean. The wifi was ok, good to have! not super fast, but acceptable. The breakfast was basic but good. certainly a way to start your day without fuss.

we were really happy with all things, it was great to have free parking. the ZTL navigation was a little stressful, but I think we managed. Parking is is tight and only room for a few cars. We were parked in upon checkout and the owner left the premises. This might be managed better.

The location is super and it’s very clean. The hosts are friendly and it has a special atmosphere which felt safe and comfortable. The garden is beautiful and the self service breakfast was nice. The beds were comfortable and it was all neat. An extra treat was hearing the singing on Sunday morning.

The room was hot and even though we tried to turn a fan on, it didn’t make a difference. It was too late to disturb anyone to ask about this once we realised. The room only had a door, no window so we couldn’t get fresh air during the night. This would be a concern in summer.

I loved the location of the accommodation, it was a 1 minute walk to a main road with shops, restaurants etc but still managed to feel peaceful and quiet. My room was clean and comfortable, a little warm at night but nothing too extreme. The breakfast was basic but filling, there was bread with spreads, croissants, meat, cake and yoghurts. I didn't get to interact alot with the sisters running the accommodation but they were always smiling, polite and friendly. I loved my stay here and would definitely return.

Run by an order of Catholic nuns, it's a completely unexpected twist initially but a picturesque, tranquil & restful setting. The separate (modern) small 'hotel' wing blends with the antiquity of original buildings. Clean comfortable, A/C'd room with full ht windows, TV, ensuite bathroom & view out to the beautiful courtyard garden. Basic but adequate breakfast of pastries, bread, yoghurt, coffee/tea, juice) served in a historic dining room. Calming background ambience of choral singing in the morning Friendly staff. Half-hour walk to the airport. Good location for sightseeing & restaurants. I'd stay again...

Once past the first introduction, there is nothing to dislike. However, if you expect a 5-star stay with room service, this is not for you. The rustic ambience at check-in soon gives way to a feast for the eyes.

This is a no frills property, so don’t expect to see much in the room, but you will have clean single beds, well maintained room and a very helpful staff … bathrooms were a pleasant surprise .. we had booked 2 triple rooms and the en suite bathrooms looked relatively newly built and were surprisingly roomy… ACs work quite well too..all in all a good experience .. breakfast is quite basic and the staff is amazing … there are tens of shops and restaurants within 100-200 metres radius of this property …

The stay was very nice. The casa is located in the city center, 10 mins walk from the main attractions. There is a parking at the property which is a huge bonus. Getting there might be tricky, the streets are very narrow, but together with GPS we've managed without a problem. We had a huge room for a family 2+2, and the room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast is small and simple, but you can get a coffee, croissant, a toast. Overall we were happy with our stay and if we ever go back to Pisa we will definitely book this place again.
